My wife and I enjoyed a five-day getaway at the Tybee Trolley in mid-June. We were looking for a unique, relaxing experience for our first visit to Tybee Island; this property was just right.
The Tybee Trolley is quaint (even a little quirky, as you might expect) but very comfortable and well maintained. As one might expect from the property listing, this is more of an unpretentious beach cabin than a luxury property. But it has everything we needed for a relaxing vacation.
We liked the location: on a relatively quiet stretch of the island, yet still within walking distance of both south beach/Tybrisa Street (about a mile away) and the north beach area (less than a mile away).
We especially enjoyed time on the deck, right in front of the dunes. When the wind was a little too strong for deck time, it was easy to retreat into the porch area or the living area, without losing any of the gorgeous view.
The kitchen was well equipped, and the air conditioning, plumbing, appliances, etc., all worked well, with one minor exception. We ran a load of laundry midway through the week and found that the dryer wasn't producing enough warm air to dry the clothes.
In all, we had a great time. The Tybee Trolley was an excellent choice for us.

The trolley home was a neat little place to stay. It was perfect for our girl trip! The location is amazing. You are steps from the beach. We had a minor problem with one of the doors during our stay, but it was fixed quickly. Definitely recommend the trolley house for a couple or girls trip!

We loved our long weekend at the Trolley Cottage. It was clean, comfortable, cute, had everything we needed. Being right on the beach was amazing. You can watch the sunrise right from the deck. We will definitely visit again!

Our stay at the Tybee Trolley was great! Yes, there are a few quirks since it’s an old trolley car that has been converted and added onto. But, it’s steps from an uncrowded beach, walkable to The Deck restaurant and North Beach Bar and Grill. The house was super clean and had plenty of towels. The only improvement might be to provide beach chair and umbrella.

Just got back home to Missouri from our 4 night stay on Tybee. My sister, teeanage son and I were there visiting my other son who is in school in Savannah. The cottage felt like home immediately. It was a quaint seaside beauty. We left to explore a little bit each day but loved coming back to hang out or visit the beach. Highlights- seeing dolphins & other wildlife right by our place, coffee every morning in a new spot in the cottage,shrimp boil with fresh food, sunrises on the beach, noting all of the details in the trolley part of the house and of course exploring Tybee & Savannah. We enjoyed the perfect weather & made memories for a lifetime! Thank you for sharing this beauty! 🐚 🌊 💙

The Trolley is our favorite place to stay on Tybee. It is a little funky and very cozy, so from the minute we open the door we start to relax and feel at home. We love the location because we can walk or bike to our favorite places. We always look forward to our stay at The Trolley and are never disappointed.

This property is very cute and snug! The cleanliness of this property was terrible. The first night we had to have them come out and clean the bathroom as it has not been clean. No pillow cases on the pillows. Most of the doors on the property interior you could barely get open(it took an act of congress to do so) *EXTREME FIRE HAZARD* and the sun room floor fell in while we stayed there. Oh and there was broken windows being held together by tape. During the stay the company was very responsive with our concerns and was prompt to fix what they could but after you check out they did not want to help you resolve any issues/compensate for your troubles. Very disappointed with the stay especially for the price paid. They wouldn’t even compensate the cleaning cost of the property very disappointed! Will never stay with Tybee Cottages/ Lucky Savannah again!

Tybee trolley was definitely old. The trolley portion of the house was unique and interesting. The house was clean and most everything worked beautifully. The water smelled horrific, but after running it for about 45 minutes the smell was much better. The roaches were our company day and night dead and alive. it was not very appetizing! As described in the write up about this house, the view of the beach was totally obstructed. However, we knew that before we rented it. Tiger trolley is definitely a house that would hold four people comfortably. Any more than that It’s a tight fit everywhere.

Myself and two of my sisters wanted to relax and enjoy the beach for a few days and found the Tybee Trolley to be the perfect answer. It’s quaint and comfortable. All one level and right on the beach. Loved the decor and whitewashed interior. It’s a 2 mile walk on the beach from it to the point (past the pier) so perfect for getting four miles of exercise everyday or an easy walk towards the channel to view the ships as they come in or also visit the lighthouse and museums by it. Perfect accommodations for 3 to 4. Think that 6 may make it a bit crowded but could accommodate up to 6. I will definitely be back and would recommend the Tybee Trolley to those who appreciate some time period surroundings and uniqueness in their cottage. Had a great time!

Though it's small, with few frills, the beds were comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet, and it had everything we needed. And it was cool to walk around inside the old trolley. Being right on the beach was so convenient. The beach wasn't over crowded at all and everybody is so friendly. I would stay here again!

What a wonderful trolley beach house- we had a great, peaceful beach weekend and will definitely stay here again. It’s vintage, different and comfortable- on a private part of the beach & we all really enjoyed! For a mom & her two grown daughters it was perfect.

The property was just like the pictures, check in was easy, there are restaurants and shops within walking distance, and the location right on the beach was super convenient. We are a family of 5 and the space was just perfect. We would definitely stay here again, thanks so much!

This was perfect for us. Two adults and two kids. The ambiance of this little house was wonderful. Loved all the little details of the trolley in the house. Access to the beach was easy and close. A little hard to find the house when we first arrived but didn’t mind it being hidden during our stay. I would definitely recommend to family and friends!!!

They said that there was a gas grill, there was not. Although the coffee maker did not work, it was replaced with a new one that day. There were roaches that were almost dead that really left me feeling unhappy with the rental. For $350. a night, I was not a happy camper with this rental.

Even my gr. grand 12 year old loved the place. We had everything we needed space wise and beach wise. Had a table outside get blown over and broken, but the management people were very responsive in getting all the glass cleaned up. Would definitely stay here again.

The Trolley house is an excellent property. It is right on the beach and near everything. It's an older home and has a small kitchen, but has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Its very unique due to the inside is actually an old St Louis trolley. So if you are a history buff, you will enjoy staying at this home.
