Ski-In, Ski-Out 5 Bed, 4 Bath Vacation Rental at Lutsen Mountains.
Listen to the sounds of the Poplar River as you drift to sleep or relax on the deck. Ski right out your back door to the high-speed lift on Moose Mountain or ride the gondola up to the top and take in the sweeping views of Superior National Forest and Lake Superior. Activities abound in all seasons for all ages on the North Shore of Lake Superior.
Hibernation House is one of the nicest Poplar Ridge Homes at Lutsen. With five bedrooms spread out over three levels, this home is ideal for groups of up to 15 people allowing multiple families to have their own spaces. Your stay also comes with access to the indoor and outdoor resort pools, fitness rooms, etc. in the Main Resort Lodge.

Full Kitchen (fully stocked), Great Room with Two Story Ceiling, smart TV and Cable, Gas Fireplace, Private Deck and Mountain views and sometimes Lake Views in the distance.

The property was clean and as described. We had a moose walk by the basement door/window which created a lot of excitement. We also saw a black bear walking away from the trash cans. The beds were comfortable and the showers had plenty of hot water. It was a great stay.

I wanted to bring my family to the North Shore for years, to show them where I grew up. Our stay at the Hibernation House was magical, and the space was perfect for several adult children and families. It’s beautiful, clean, in a perfect location to explore the North Shore. The beds were very comfortable, the decks a perfect spot to gather, and we used all of the fire places when the weather got cool. Peter was a perfect host, responding to our questions and needs immediately. We may not be back for awhile, but will definitely stay here again!

Hibernation House is a very comfortable, inviting property that my two daughters, son-in-law and two grandchildren enjoyed this August. We had a lot of room to spread out and enjoy, with great gathering spaces for dinners, games and conversations. The kitchen was very well equipped with the essentials for making meals, and the bedrooms were extremely comfortable - everyone was well rested and ready for the hikes, swimming, shopping and sightseeing that the North Shore offers. This was our second trip to Caribou Highlands and Hibernation House did not disappoint.

Really was a nice place to stay for 8 of us for two nights. We all had room and enjoyed ourselves. Extra wet-bar downstairs with another living/rec-room. We took the Tram to the top of the mountain, went down the Alpine Slide and toured the North Shore. Highly Reccommended

We loved our stay at the Hibernation House!! The townhouse had everything we were looking for with space, beds, kitchen items, location, etc. It was very clean. Communication with the owner was awesome and Peter was very quick to respond with answers to any questions. We had 3 families staying with half adults and half teenagers and we found a ton of things to do within walking distance like hiking, riding the gondola and using the pool and hot tub. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

We had a great stay at this Lutsen property! The house was a perfect set up for a family trip! Great ski in-ski out property, although it was a little difficult for the very young and older skiers in out group. We could easily drop them off by the chalet, it is less than a 5 min drive from the condo. The condo layout works well for a group to spread out after a day of skiing. Plenty of room and we enjoyed having the TV's set up with cable and all available apps for viewing. The condo was very clean and well stocked for the weekend. We will definitely stay here again! The owner was very prompt to answer any questions that we had. Highly recommended!

The condo was perfect for our family of 9 adults and 2 toddlers. Everything was well stocked with the exception of the pantry. We have stayed at several VRBO in the past and some have supplied basic pantry staples like salt and pepper, oil, ect...not a big deal, just don't expect it. The rooms are all spacious and comfortable. We loved being able to sit around the same big dining table for meals and game play. Skiing was great ! The ski/in ski out is a little more challenging than some of the other condos on the mountain...but again, not a big deal once we figured it out. We would definitely book again ! Condo was perfect for 2 families with kids. All bedrooms we perfect especially the upstairs for families with young kids. Very well equipped kitchen - very easy to dine in. Wonderful dining room and great rooms to hang out in. Beautiful views of the Lutsen mountain. Easy access for downhill skiing to the Lutsen Caribou chair lift. Owners where prompt with answering questions and giving great advice. We are looking forward to staying at this house again next year! Thank you Jackie and Peter for making our stay so special over the holidays!

Fun fall break in Lutsen

Our group of 4 adults and 11 kids had everything we needed at this property. Location was perfect- close to the alpine slide/gondula and lots of hiking trails. Also close to the general store which we visited many time to pick up miscellaneous grocery items. The resort did a great job with Halloween activities for the kids and the kids loved the pool and ping pong table in the evenings.

I booked this property for a long weekend away for my family. We have 3 adult married children and 2 grand kids. The house was perfect for our group. It had plenty of space, everyone had their own room and the main gathering space was comfortable for all of us to share. We went hiking, took naps, went to town for beers and generally hung out. Very nice accommodations for us! Thank you to the owners for timely giving me requested information on hiking suggestions and other general information. We had a wonderful time!

The property was great! Plenty of bedroom sand bThrooms to accommodate our group. The property was stocked well with amenities and the location was nice within the Caribou Highlands—very private. A good uphill walk or short drive to pools,. We enjoyed the time there and rode the gondola and alpine slide. We did miss being on the lake but this would be a perfect spot for a ski vacation. The only recommendations I have to make it 5 star would be to replace the dishwasher. It has broken parts and is not clean, fix little things like the toilet paper holder in main room, etc. Also, we left a fly swatter for future guests. No matter what Renee have stayed, this is a necessity. Thanks for sharing f your home with us!

This is a nice property, fairly private, with a beautiful view of the highlands. A comfortable livingroom and dining room, and a deck facing the forest all made for a memorable visit. Our group of 12 lodged comfortably here with plenty of room and the necessary amenities.
