Perfect for our family vacation with our kids & grandkids. Huge house with comfy beds and 3 levels providing plenty of space for everyone. Owner was fast to respond to any questions we had, before and during our stay. Private dock for our pontoon boat and kids loved the pool after being on the lake all day. I loved the corner pantry that walked thru to a room sized pantry with another refrigerator! Plus a 3rd fridge in lower level rec room! With 2 ice makers, we never ran out of ice. This house works for all ages!

House was a good fit for our whole family (15) to be together. Very helpful having labels on cabinets and lights. Everyone enjoyed the paddel boat, but not the hill🙂
Had to go to the area market to buy additional trash bags and dish washer detergent. Expected to have enough to last throughout the week (7
days). We ran the dishwasher only once a day and needed trash bags because 15 people can accumulate a lot of trash. (market was pricy).
We had a good time!!
Pool table and ping-pong was played on the rainy days. Pool was used when the sun came out.
House is large enough so everyone had their own space when needed.

This lovely home is in a quiet neighborhood, close to a marina where pontoon boats and lake toys are available to rent. We enjoyed morning coffee on the back decks, swimming and floating off the dock, the kids enjoyed the pool. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you'll need. It's a great spot to stay on Lake Barkley. Thank you Sharon & Bill for sharing your home with us!

If you actually enjoy the people you spend time with this is a great place. Plenty of personal space with lots of gathering spaces, rain or shine. Warning if you have a gourmet chef, this is not the kitchen, but the house has plenty of serving space if you want basic stuff.

Our stay was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had in many years. The home is very spacious with huge rooms. There were 13 of us and never felt crowded i any way. Having a private dock was extremely convenient for our boat, jet ski and kayak. We loved just sitting on the dock fishing, reading, and just enjoying the view. Not much boat traffic in that part of the Lake to be noisey or rock the dock. Home was stocked with more than ample cookware, dinnerware, glassware, etc. And there was a paddle boat available which the kids just loved. Our host was very responsive to our needs. We did not use the pool ,as the kids were content with fishing and boating, so cannot comment on that. Walk down to the dock was a little steep but OK. Walk back up the trail is a bit more leg muscle building so plan your trips accordingly. Was not a problem overall

This property is a beautiful home in a great location. It was quiet and private. The home was clean and very spacious. The owner was very easy to contact. We only had one issue with a shower knob not working and they sent someone out immediately to fix it. There were labels on all the drawers and light switches which was extremely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The house has a ton of room for multiple families, bedroom and bathroom sizes are great. The amenities are endless, we were super appreciative of all the “extras” such as spices, cookware, linens, I could go on and on. The outdoor patio was perfect for a little cornhole tournament and fire pit was nice to keep the bugs away. Secluded house not on top of neighbors with private cove. 5 STARS FOR SURE!

Our family rented this beautiful house for our 2022 Thanksgiving destination. Families from South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Tennessee and Kansas all met for a four day mini vacation here. This house was GREAT! House was clean, all appliances worked, an abundance of cooking utensils, more than enough dishes and silverware. Everything was labeled on cabinets and drawers as to their contents. The beds were all new and very comfortable We Have never stayed at a nicer home than this!

House was more than we anticipated, well appointed, well stocked, clean and with a lovely view of the water. The house is set back from the road and sits up high enough that from the porches you see water not neighbors, idyllic privacy. Rain was forecast for all of our visit, which didn't happen, but after seeing the house we knew it would be fun no matter what: pool table, large screen TVs, screened porch room with bean bag toss, small covered heated pool. The water itself was very low, until we learned the sandbars we hit them on paddle boards. This was September so probably higher earlier in the season. There is a beautiful 2-slip covered dock. The advantage of the channel was VERY low traffic even on Labor Day Weekend. Our paddleboards and the paddleboat they provided were safe to use. The gravel path from house to water is very steep. We were a multi-generational group and this was a challenge for our oldest and youngest. The nearby town of Cadiz was quaint and had all we needed for supplies. With the caveat about low water levels and steep path, you could not do better than this large lovely house!

This was a wonderful home for all of my family from St Louis and family from Alabama to meet and celebrate my birthday. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space or be together. The kitchen was stocked extremely well for all our meals to be cooked there.

Our family enjoyed our stay as a starting place to visit Land Between the Lakes. We ran into complications so only made a few jaunts into the park, but we strongly recommend fishing and hiking at Hematite Lake, visiting the Nature Center, Kayak and Canoeing at Energy Lake and seeing the Elk and Bison Prairie. This house starts you near the center of the park.
Sharon was quite responsive when we ran into a few difficulties with the house. But the listing does not even do justice how many spaces there are...we spent a lot of time in the bonus screened in room with game table, on the raised deck, on the pool deck, at the pool and at the dock.
Overall, we found this a good place to stay and will recommend it to others.

Susan the host was amazing and extremely helpful answering any inquiries my family threw at her. The house was gorgeous, my youngest nephew asked if we could stay longer! There were ample beds, baths and fridges to accommodate everyone and everything we needed. The only improvement I would say would to add steps to the lake as the incline was tough at times 🧡

Great lake house for family vacation
This lake house was perfect for our annual family vacation! There was a total of 14 family members and we had plenty of space to spread out. The house was clean and kitchen well stocked. We had easy access to the lake and the kids really enjoyed the pool. The host was very accommodating and responsive. Highly recommend this property!

Amazing space with everything
Such a great space. Every one had a master bedroom with massive bathroom. Do many great spaces. Dock was perfect. Pool a wonderful space and lots of wildlife to enjoy. Everyone was able to wind down and with 3 adult couples and 3 kids we found so much room for everyone! I was so happy to find NICE skillets and everything we could possibly need. What a beautiful home, loved this vacation!

Family Vacation
Beautiful property, plenty of room for all 4 families, the pool is a definite plus, well equipped kitchen, great game room, relaxing on the patio with fire pit made the evenings special.Spent a lot of time floating /rafting on the lake at the dock. The owners were very attentive and easy to communicate with. Slope back up from the lake is not too bad, and would recommend taking a supply of staples when arriving, best grocery for us was Walmart, in Princeton.

First Family Vacation in over 30 years
My family had our first vacation together since my siblings an I were kids. We had 11 total on this trip (4 separate families) and it was a wonderful vacation.
The house has 3 levels that allowed us time together but enough bedrooms for our own privacy.
The lower level has a nice entertainment area with large TV, karaoke machine, pool table and many games. The wifi only allows 5 devices on at a time. Since we watched movies as a family and not on separate devices this did not cause any issues for us, but something to keep in mind if you are hoping to work remotely speed may not be adequate. I loved this aspect, because it allowed me to stay on vacation and not be temped to work.
The pool is small but big enough for the kids to have a great time, just don't plan on swimming laps. House also had a ping-pong table on the main level that we all enjoyed. They have every thing you need in a kitchen to prepare meals. Plenty of space to store the food you bring. We shopped at Wal-Mart in Princeton about 30-minutes away. There are a couple of grocery stores in Cadiz about 15 minutes away that also have a decent selection. The men enjoyed the near by golf courses, and us girls and kids had a wonderful time at Maggie's Jungle Golf and petting zoo in Gilbertsville. It was tough for a flatland girl from Florida, but loads of fun. The owners Bill and Sharon were very responsive to every question I had before and during our trip.
The only negative I have for this property is that the walk from the boat dock to the house is very steep. You need good shoes, and great calf muscles. We did not get to enjoy river because of the steep walk, but our next visit we will bring or rent a boat or

Relaxing Week at Lake Barkley
We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is spacious and we had plenty of room and extra beds for our group or 5 adults and 4 kids. Communication with Sharon was easy both before and during our stay. The winding roads make travel to and from town take awhile but we enjoyed that as it made for a perfect remote and quiet lake vacation. The internet is not great for multiple users. This is no fault of the owners there is just not a lot of options out in the country. Just be aware if you are thinking you may try and do any work while you are there. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed to prepare and eat meals. We had great weather but there are plenty of games and books to read for relaxing in the house if the weather doesn’t allow for being outside. I did rate the cleanliness of the house a little lower (3 stars). It was by no means dirty but could stand a little bit of a deeper cleaning. We noticed dust bunnies in corners and under the furniture. We were on the floor a lot due to having an infant and a toddler with us. We definitely will stay again if/when coming to Cadiz/Lake Barkley. Thanks Sharon and Bill.

Fun family time together
We had a great time. We had plenty of room to spread out. We loved the pool table and ping pong table and the games and toys inside. Enjoyed the pool. Went fishing off the dock. We had a great day tubing, having rented a (new) pontoon boat at Prizer Point. We practically had Lake Barkley to ourselves! We thought Cadiz was a cute little town, with some cute shops. We ate at Burger Barn and had Godfathers’s pizza. We recommend both of them! The owner was very helpful, answering all our questions promptly.

Beautiful home on the lake
The house was awesome! Well stocked, clean and easy communication with the owners! We really appreciate being able to have access to the garage made it easy to load and unload our vehicles. Loved the outdoor space! Felt very homey!

Back to nature home!
This home is beautiful and very well appointed. The property is very wooded and you can expect to see lots of deer and a great variety of birds. We cooked most of our evening meals at home and I was delighted to find absolutely everything I needed in the kitchen. (Crock pot, griddle, air fryer etc.). The bathrooms are a highlight feature (our group had 7 women in it including 5 teenage girls) and we all loved the bathrooms. We used the downstairs family room a good deal as it was the perfect spot to keep an eye on the pool while the kids were swimming and we were playing cards or shooting pool. Now for the not so wonderful features of the property. It is remote and driving into town is a pain. Plan on arriving well stocked or shop at the Walmart in Princeton for supplies before arriving. The dock area is shallow but quite manageable (about 5 feet). The walk to the dock is quite steep and gravely so plan on having sturdy shoes on hand for the trip up and down to the dock. All told, the positives outweigh the few negatives and this was a wonderful spot to spend quality time w family and friends!

Lovely quiet place in nature
This is a very large home in a quiet isolated neighborhood in nature. Everyone had their own bedroom, and only one shared a bath. We loved both upstairs and downstairs balconies, where we could look at the trees and the water. Mother and baby deer came every day through the property, and we saw many different birds. Teenagers were happy fishing from the dock, playing in the little pool, and playing pool and karaoke in the rec room. Adults had plenty of room to work without interruption. One brought a hot spot so there were no technical issues. Lake Barkley State Resort and Land Between the Lakes offered outdoor nature options. It was just what we all needed. Thank you to our gracious hosts!
