The Cotswold way
La ubicacion en el centro de Bath, las instalaciones tenian de casi todo, las literas eran cómodas
El espacio en las habitaciones un poco justo. En las duchas el agua caliente irregular, a veces si a veces no

A very affordable accommodation in a great location, with friendly staff.
It was very affordable and in a great location. The room itself was clean and the bathrooms down the hall were reasonably close. Very nice that there were laundry facilities onsite since we had been hiking the Cotswold Way. Didn’t use the kitchen facilities, but it was nice they were there. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
One of the two toilets in the women’s restroom was not functioning. The motion sensor light went out on me while I was showering.

Tanie, przyjemne miejsce

Fair stay for the price
The property is well located in the city centre; it is also clean and the rooms have a good size.
The mattress was uncomfortable and, although it is advertised that you can leave your luggage at the property before check in and after check out, a payment was requested for it.

Brilliant customer service when issues arise
I had a double en suite room. It was large, plenty of storage and an extension lead for the plug socket which was very handy for hair straighteners being near a mirror etc. Very well located in the centre of town and walkable to the train station. Very friendly staff Very large bathroom
I had a blocked sink and a radiator leak that meant I got a complementary paddling pool! That said, when I highlighted this on checkout the money was refunded to my booking.com account and I could not fault management for their quick response and resolution to this problem. Far from putting me off staying here, it makes me more likely to come here again.

Friendly, functional and affordable
The building and Courtyard are very nice. It is a community center and it serves people from all walks of life. The lounge and TV area are very comfortable The kitchen and dining area are serviceable. I did not expect this to be a luxurious stay. I expected it to be exactly what it was a functional Affordable option. The staff were professional, and very helpful. You need to pay attention to the directions because if you come up on the Broad Street side, you go up a few steps past another building and into the courtyard so you don’t enter off the address on the street. If you go around the other side where it says why you end up going up to very steep flights of steps. Just be aware .
I wish the beds had a little bit more padding or cushion. However, I understand that they are conserving resources and they do a lot of good for people in the community and people with urgent needs so I’m not really complaining. Be aware that there is no lift . But putting lifts in is very expensive. I felt really good about my stay because it was exactly what it was supposed to be and it’s contributing to the community.

Really aimed at school groups and people who are sent there by the council.
I liked the fact that there were hot plates although some people were monopolising them. The building, though old, is beautiful, and very warm and dry.
It is quite difficult to get hot water in the women's showers, and these are not closed, there are only curtains, therefore anyone can walk in on you. As mentioned by other guests, the hostel caters mainly to groups, which can be really noisy (school kids) and to people who have alcoholism and/or mental health problems and are on benefits. Some of the staff are also alcoholics and are quite rude. The hostel probably gets paid by Bath Council to house them, the same as Julian House at the church near the railway station (opposite the police station), it saves Bath Council the hassle of making more social housing available and it enables the YMCA to make a lot of money. These premium paying guests earn them a lot more money than travellers and you do get the feeling that you are unwanted if you do not drink, do not take drugs (recreational or pharmaceutical) and are working for a living. I was actually advised to give up my low paid unqualified job... and to try out another hostel in town where I know that both the guests and some of the staff take recreational drugs, where some of the foreign guests are working in the UK illegally (they are overstayers who arrived on tourist visas and work paid black) and where some of the long term guests are pimps.

Hostel correcto para una noche
las instalaciones están muy bien, habitación privada es amplia
Muy pocos lavabos por piso (1 inodoro de mujeres disponible) para 20 habitaciones. Pésima higiene (estaban muy sucios y no se limpiaban)
