Absolutely perfect stay. Brilliant location, excellent hosts, building is SPECTACULAR. One of the best stays we've ever had and we are already looking for reasons to return.
Literally the only thing is that the shower isn't accessible for anyone over about 5'4" - but the bath is, and the building is old, so we can forgive it.
4.1
What a place this is. Shower is a bit tricky to get into due to it being a period property, but this isn't a negative, its part of the experience.
Jane and her mum were brilliant.
Thanks for having me!
Leaving!

Check out time advertised as 11am, this was the main reason we booked due to an early morning dawn survey. The host kicked us out at 10

Lovely historied building.
The staff, a mother daughter duo, were incredibly welcoming and even gave a brief overview of the history of the building.
The room was lovely.

The owner and family were exceptional. Lovely property and surroundings.
I was unable to pay with my credit card, the lady asked for cash. i was unable as i do not carry cash. Her card reader was broken. I am still yet to pay for the hotel.

Location great for the stay. Lovely and interesting property. Lovely host.
To be expected really because the property is so old but the shower was a little awkward to operate.

Good sized room and very clean.
The internet wasn't working.

17th century house with many original features and lovely host
Breakfast was a do it yourself arrangement which is fine except it was not clear where everything was. TV had no remote and door could be bolted from inside but not lockable when you went out

en-suite

beautiful property and room. historic. not a modern box
parking was tricky

I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast - cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt and toast with jam and marmalade
The location was in the countryside but only 15 minutes from the NEC.
it was a bit difficult to shower as it was over the bath which was in the eaves , so we couldn’t stand up. However, we weren’t concerned as the house was over 600 years old and so full of character, that the inability to shower properly was offset by the amazing building

We stayed overnight after a wedding at Shustoke Barn, so the location was fantastic for us. We were able to check in early, which was really kind. The B&B is full of character, and Dot was really friendly. Great continental breakfast :)
Everything was fine!

Loved the querkiness of the property.
Were welcomed and treated like friends.
Nothing was too much trouble and we felt at home.
We can't think of anything really, though the signage for The Old Rectory was difficult to spot, particularly as it was twilight when we arrived. Perhaps some better lighting at the entrance especially while it gets dark early!
4.1
The house, bedroom and ensuite we're clean and comfortable. The place is full of old world charm. Breakfast was a continental type with nice quality products available.
Some of the doorways are low so tall people can feel the need to duck in places.

Lovely B&B. The room was nice and the host was very helpful. Since our booked taxi never turned up, we had to drive to our wedding. Our host kindly helped us pick the car up the next day and provided a lovely breakfast. Would recommend.
