Absolutely shocking! Notified the staff we had arrived at 11am return to check in at 4.45pm then taken to room only to find room looked still occupied ?? Staff shocked and set us off again!! So they could apparently make the room up!! Went off and had a think about and decided we were not staying in this shocking place!!!! Notified them and were given a full refund! Which I’m still waiting for and will check tomorrow and be contacting you if I’ve not had the money back!

The stairs were awkward.

Excellent location for walking in the Peak District. The room was lovely - spacious and nicely decorated.

Nothing.

Great location, good staff, superb breakfast.
Disappointed with our room, the bed was too short. Total length of bed was 1.8 metre which is my height. The room was not that clean and in the details should of included a fridge but there wasn’t one.

spacious room, good quality bedding, breakfast cost £10 pp but we felt it was worth the money
one member of staff rude when we checked in, so poor first impression, a pity as all the rest were very pleasant.
seemed expensive as room, whilst clean and comfortable needed updating

The staff were very informative and helpful.
The accommodation was a little tired and the shower needed to be resealed as mould was very visible. The cost of the accommodation was very expensive and we would have chosen somewhere else if we had options.

Staying in a pub is a always a bit of a gamble but the Old Hall Hotel in Hope was excellent. We were at a gig in Castleton and didn't want a drive back so picked this hotel. It's got an oldie-world charm and four-poster beds too!
The bar was lively but the noise was low at bedtime. Facilities were good for a pub and were beyond our expectations. Staff were brilliant and check-in was super-efficient.
The best bit was the restaurant. We booked a table prior to arriving and, again, I didn't know what to expect. Pleasantly surprised around the choices, especially Gluten Free, and had Chicken Supreme for the first time in 40 years. This was superb - presentation and taste was high-level restaurant standard - as was the other dish and dessert. Staff in the restaurant were amazing.
Breakfast was ace!
Really loved the stay. Hope is beautiful!
All good!

the bed could have been a little comfier but that's the only downside!

very homely feel and everyone you meet talks unlike cities
one lady (older thin lady) she did housekeeping and some glass collecting and really seemed to take a disliking to our family and was very rude. she even went as far as to shoe our dog away and pull a discussed face and also push past our 12 year old daughter. everything about this trip was lovely but that just ruined it for us but cannot take away all the good points I suppose because of one person.
