Listing needs to say there is no AC in the upstairs bedroom.
Need a few more towels. There was a load of laundry in the dryer when we arrived. We left it there for the housekeeping crew

We had a wonderful experience staying at this property. The check in process was easy and we were able to check in a little early, which was great! The house was adorable and very comfortable for my teen daughter and me and my husband. Great decor, lovely kitchen and bathrooms, comfy couches and beds. The loft area is super cute too! It was just a few minutes from downtown, so very convenient to all the shops and dining, as well as to trailheads, hiking and waterfalls. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this comfy and spacious home away from home!

Great location close to town! Nice furnishings and well appointed kitchen! Would definitely stay here again!

House was perfect; communication with Evolve was terrible. Never received checkin information or check out information. Fyi you apparently have to create an Evolve account and login to view anything other than payment info. Loved the house and would definitely rent again! Perfect stay 😊

Everything was perfectly clean and comfortable. Big bedrooms with nice closets. Kitchen was well appointed and roomy. When we first drove up it seemed a little far from town, but once we kinda got used to the curvy roads in Highlands it was nice and close - about 5-10 minutes to everything. I’d recommend this place to anyone!

The house was perfect, cozy and comfortable. I am already looking at when we can go back. Close to downtown but not in the hustle and bustle. The only thing we needed was coffee.

The house is gorgeous, so well done! Spent a lot of time in front of the fireplace, warm .. cozy and comfortable.

Fantastic property!! We couldn’t have asked for better. Rooms are very spacious. The decor is so modern yet compliments the beauty of WNC nature that surrounds the property. You can’t beat the two mile drive to downtown. We are so grateful for this owner renting to us! We’d book again in a heartbeat!!!

This house is charming and beautiful. The only complaint I have is the dated electric outlets. The location is great.

The house is really beautiful, really well done! Had some trouble reaching our customer service contact, Julia. Couldn't find a toaster or a tea kettle, but other than that our stay was comfortable and cozy!

Beautifully decorated home. It does not feel like a rental. It feels like you are staying at a friends house.

My family and I stayed at this cabin for New Years Eve. The place is very clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The location is OK, we would have liked to have more mountain views but having it closer to the main road when arriving at night gave us peace of mind. It was also close by to shops and restaurants which also came handy. I have to say that communicating with the house manager was not posible, not sure if we would have had a problem how fast she would habe been able to resolve it. This morning as we left, I sent her a text and she never replied. Anyhow, we loved everything about this cabin and we will definitely rent it again in the near future. For us having a place to stay that feels like home is a must, and this cabin had very much that feel.

Great location - really close to downtown Highlands and some great hiking spots. We had plenty of room and were able to eat several meals in. Only complaint would be the multiple crickets we found indoors - one was several inches long.

This is one of the most beautiful rentals we’ve ever enjoyed…. Comfortable, decorated to a tee, and well-appointed. Can’t wait to come back on our next trip to Highlands. Beautiful.
Communication with the cleaning service point person was the only negative…. They never responded to our early check in requests and they also didn’t stock the house with toilet paper. That was all with the rental agency, not with the home itself.., the only place for improvement!

Very lovely!
We really loved our stay! The house is absolutely so gorgeous and decorated perfectly. Great towels and sheets and pillows. The twin bed mattresses are really think and uncomfortable for adults but would be ok for small children
The oven wouldn’t turn on and we ready everything we could online but couldn’t get it to work. I did text the contact but didn’t hear back.
Overall we loved it!

Awesome Mountain house w/great updates
Wonderful location - house is as advertised and is better in person than the great photos on the listing. Only issue is the room with twin beds has a door with clear glass - so zero privacy for that room and it Won’t keep sound / light out. They should fix that. Otherwise wonderful ! We will be back !

A relaxing escape
This property is everything that is listed! We were absolutely so pleased with our entire time there. They clearly spared no detail designing this space. It was hard not to appreciate the work they put into such a charming cottage. The furniture was comfortable, the kitchen had everything you needed to cook, the linens and towels were very soft and comfortable, and they even had full bottle shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for both of the bathrooms! If you bring a gate to block the stairs, this house is very child-friendly. We didn't have to worry about our 15-month-old getting hurt in the house. The location of the house was perfect. Less than 5 five drive into town, but you had the privacy of a mountain cabin. This property is one we would happily visit again!

Comments on the property
We had a great time. There are some items that could have improved our experience and are listed as follows:
1. The second floor does not have HVAC - a drawback in my opinion.
2. More lighting in the living room / family room area would have improved our experience.
3. A toaster oven would allow for quicker breakfast preparation.
4. The garage had a musty smell and a lot of debris that could be removed.
5. Some of the exterior needs help.
6. There were no spare light bulbs for several of the fixtures.
7. I would like to know which keys went to which door.
8. I would suggest a larger marker for the entrance road - not easy to find at night.
9. On-site fishing was noted in the description and we found no directions tell us how to reach the lake or stream.
10. The local contact was great to assist with a power failure by contacting the utility. She responded right away.
