It is an amazing, peaceful, beautiful location. There was enough room for our family of 5 (inc 3 x giant teenagers). The food was good, bit too much for us! The hosting family were friendly and chatty, there was a very calm friendly dog. It was a fab experience and we felt privileged. Loved the hot water bottles!
Water pipes frozen in the morning so had to use bottled water for hand wash - minor issue!

it is unique in that it is situation on the lake on a floating island. We were picked up by a taxi arranged by the property and dropped at a small port where we were picked up by boat by the owner. The trip to the property over the lake was beautiful and it was a great start to the trip. We did have to pay 5 soles each as a toll fee to enter lots uros which we were not aware of. The rooms were cosy and warm in the day and the showers were modern. The toilet was a compost toilet. The breakfast was lovely and was predominantly, pancakes, fruit, hot drinks, bread and jam. Dinner and lunch were provided for an extra 30 soles each and soft drinks and water were also about 8 soles each.
The family were lovely
It was absolutely freezing at night, dropping to -4. Although blankets and hot water bottles were provided it was still very cold.
There were also lots of additional costs as there is not really anywhere to go to get lunch/ dinner and there is little to do during the day - we kayaked which was 80 soles each for 2 hours max.
Personally I did find it a little uncomfortable being sold things by the family, as a honestly it’s hard to avoid but it does mean you’re feel more inclined to buy things which wasn’t my thing, although some of the products were pretty.
overall it is a lovely experience but is very expensive for what it is, and it is cold!

Leo and his wife are amazing hosts, very friendly. They will cater for all your needs. The room is very specious and cosy. The food is qualitative. The view from the room is great.
The comment has nothing to do with the hosts as they do not control the weather but make sure to bring warm clothes as it gets very cold at night. But you can ask for a heater.

No words could describe the amazing atmosphere present at this place. Our host and his family went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and were always there if we needed anything. Be prepared for the cold at night but the stunning sunset and sunrise will keep your body and spirit warm.

The location was absolutely incredible in Uros, and our hosts Lina and Leo went over and above to make sure we had a wonderful stay. They collected us even after our boat arrived 4 hours late and made us feel so welcome. We loved every second! They have a kayak to hire which we highly recommend taking out to see the community.

the family was great, they were so friendly and generours to have us with them. Only Lina was able to speak English but nevertheless we were able to communicate with the husband and the kids. Lina is a great cook and she served us traditional food (simple). When we needed a lift they were always on time. The loft is nice and the best part of it is the balcony. The shower has hot water.

The apartments are located in a very special place - floating islands. The environment is great. Hosts are very friendly.
Nights at that altitude are very cold. Apartments are rather pricey.

Everything was perfect. Beautiful location, comfortable accommodations and the family we stayed with was amazing. They were able to organize everything for us. Completely hassle free, comfortable, and affordable. Our hostess prepared a fresh fish lunch for us on our second day. We arrived a little too late on the first day so they boated us to a nearby restaurant which also had great food. Dinner was served on site and was fresh and delicious. They also organized a private boat tour of the local islands at a fraction of the cost. Can't say enough about this place. Felt completely at home. Highly recommended!
The property was fantastic! That being said, be aware it gets cold! We were provided with more than enough blankets and hot water bags so we were very comfortable, but it does get really cold so if that's an issue, prepare. Also, it's an island. So the toilet facilities are different. But again, they made everything as comfortable as possible and it in no way would deter me from recommending this family.

Peaceful, tranquil, comfortable and very welcoming.
Food was tasty and fresh and reasonably priced considering you’re a captive audience
For the cold evenings there are plenty of blankets on the beds and you can also have a hot water bottle if you wish.
The host family live on the island too so you get to meet everyone and they’re all very welcoming and good people.
some of the extras were expensive in relative terms but then you are on an island with no access to shops. Water was S10 for a 2.5l bottle and wifi S20 per day.

A lovely place to spend a night - the rooms were very comfortable, with a hot shower available during the day and hot water bottles provided at night. Breakfast was good and kindly served extra- early so we could catch an early morning bus. we also paid extra for meals which were delicious and generously portioned!

everything was simply amazing. A complete experience from the location, the food, and the great respect and family care that Lina and Leonardo gave us treating us as part of the family.
there’s is nothing to dislike about this place

We absolutely loved our stay here and we will be recommending it to all of our friends! The family are so friendly and their hospitality made us feel very welcome. The room is lovely and the outside balcony with day bed is perfect for relaxing in the day and watching the sun set.

Very nice place where you can touch authentic feel of living in Uros islands! Very comfortable lodge where you can relax on the terrace with lake view and try local meal cooked by the local family. It is not just an accomodation, but whole day experience of life in Uros :)

it was very beautiful!
even if it was very cold we weren’t too cold because the beds were full of big blankets.
we ate well and enjoyed the moments with rhe family.
the hot water of the shower comes after 15 min and when it’s 6*C degrees you don’t feel like taking a cold shower, nor waste 15 minutes of running shower for the hot one.

It is an amazing place to relax (e.g. after hiking), and to get away from busy and noisy cities and traffic. It is just as beautiful as in the pictures!
We absolutely recommend to stay here - if you have the time, you should stay for at least two nights. The family’s hospitality is unique, it is not a normal hotel stay. Plus, Lina’s food is really good. You can choose when and what to eat. You can go kayaking or go on day trips or just relax at your own veranda. It is definitely a better way to explore and enjoy lake Titicaca and Uros Islands than going on a short boat ride (and envy the people who chill on their verandas on the islands). Lina also makes traditional textiles and explains a lot about Uros culture.
The shower is great but it takes a while ;-)

We went to 4 cities in Peru during our trip in early August 2021 and by far, this is the most memorable experience my family and I ever had. The experience I am talking about is the fact that you have the opportunity to stay at a local family’s property, get to see them live and work, staying on a property floating on water that feels like a mini island, eat delicious home made food cooked by the owner herself, and the owner himself is the concierge helping us arrange excursions and using his boat to take us back and forth to land and his floating island home.
There are limitations to staying on a floating island house. We went in August during winter and it gets very cold at night. The insulation is lacking on a manufactured tract home. They address this issue by providing layers of thick blankets. Be sure to wear thick socks as the floor gets very cold also.
