This is a fabulous property in beautiful grounds. It is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. The furniture, bed linen, towels, kitchen appliances and even the toiletries were all high quality. The provision of fresh milk and biscuits were much appreciated. The hosts have clearly put a lot of thought into making this lovely place as comfortable and welcoming as possible We would highly recommend it.

Secluded location, compact property. Character converted building. Space to walk dog in grounds of location. Cleaned daily. Spacious bedroom and bathroom for size of property.
Lack of sink downstairs (though daily clean included removing and replacing used items).

Due to a medical emergency the night before we were late getting there but Jules & Ausra kept in touch and nothing was too much trouble. When we got there the place was warm and welcoming, the radio was on, the table was set, there was milk in the fridge and we felt like we had come home. They had even left a basket of towels, poo bags and bowls for the dog. After having the best night's sleep in the biggest bed we'd ever seen we woke up to turkeys and chickens on the doorstep!. We went walking to The Scales - waterfalls near-by and on our return we were met by Jules who had just left us a cake, made by Ausra, as well as flowers- it really made our day. The following day we woke up to peacocks on the front wanting breakfast!. We will definitely be staying again.
Not the hosts fault - the 2 pubs either side of the accommodation hadn't updated their websites so we were under the impression they did food but they don't and there aren't many facilities nearby. Jules did try to ring the Indian takeaway for us but they didn't answer. He did direct us to the local pizza takeaway which was OK.

Beautiful accommodation. Super comfy bed and pillows. They have done a fantastic job in preserving and presenting the Hay Loft. Would definitely recommend a stay.

Beautiful property, everything had been thought of to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Loved all the little touches like the make up flannel, flowers on the table.
We will definitely book again.

Extremely friendly and accommodating hosts. The property was exceptionally clean and tidy with nice decor, extra touches such as fresh flowers and beautifully dressed dining table.

Good size room, very clean and good facilities in the room
Sound travels easily between the two units. Investment in improved sound proofing would help

the upstairs in the property was fantastic,a lovely big comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom
the downstairs in the property was too small for us with no food preparation area and no running water downstairs.
4.8
The great service, everything was clean, and the comfort of the bed. Not to forget the service every day: emptying the bin, new towels when needed, doing the dishes.

Friendly hosts. Lovely cottage, beautifully decorated with quality crockery. TVs in both the lounge and the bedroom. Quiet peaceful surroundings. Super comfortable bed with crisp bedlinen.
The weather but it was still pretty in the pouring rain!

Host was extremely welcoming and accommodating. Property was warm and very clean. Extra touches like coffee machine/pods and robes in the bathroom were much appreciated. Bedroom was a great size and bed was comfortable.
A sink in the ‘kitchen’ area would have made things a little easier, however we appreciated the fact that dirty dishes were collected and washed each day.

The property was clean and furnishings were of a high quality standard. The hosts were very friendly and met us on arrival, had everything we needed and the location was good. A cute little cottage overall and would definitely recommend!
I think the only slight downsides were that the tv didn't have a signal on some of the channels we chose and also the size of the couch is a bit small for two adults to sit comfortably {i understand the space is limited though}.

This is a neat property, ideal for two people with easy access to town and countryside. It was warm, clean and comfortable. The owners were welcoming and helpful. There is a lovely big bed with good quality bedding. The bathroom is light and spacious, towels were also good quality.
The self-catering facilities were limited (I know this is a planning permission issue in this grade 2 listed building) but it was fine for a couple of days.
We would have liked reading lamps downstairs (this would be easy to fix).

We have just returned from a overnight stay at this beautiful location, amazing service and quality stay.
So much time, care and attention has been put into making our stay a memorable one.
We will be back

the property was very homely and pet friendly.

Well presented. Very comfortable bed in a charming bedroom. Great parking and stunning location.
Disappointed to find no hob or sink in the kitchen area - a bit odd and misleading for somewhere billed as a ‘holiday home’ on Booking.com. Shame also a bath could not be accommodated in the large bathroom - it would make washing up easier as well 🤣

The accommodation was absolutely spotlessly clean. Very well decorated etc too with no expense spared on the homely touches! Slippers and dressing gowns were provided which was much appreciated as it rained and was cold weather for most of our stay. Any used crockery was washed and replaced daily whilst we were out. Well stocked with tea, coffee etc. The bed was super comfy with really soft bedding. It honestly felt like a home away from home!! We also had absolutely no phone signal there (EE) but free WiFi meant this wasn't a problem at all.
The first night was so lovely and quiet. Unfortunately the rest of the time there were guests in the attached property who were less than considerate and we were kept awake until late each night with their TV up really loud, banging around etc. Not the fault of the host at all, we just got unlucky with having rude neighbours for our stay unfortunately!

The accommodation is beautiful and so peaceful. The owners were very friendly and nothing was toomuch trouble. We were walking the coast to coast and it's an ideal stop off for the first day from St Bees. Truly excellent.
Peaceful and glorious setting, plus the accusation is amazing

Stunning property. Smelled clean, which is what you want and need. beautiful ammendities. Great bed. House was a bit cold but they did have an extra heater in the bedroom and heated blanket. I loved our stay and I would gladly go back. Hosts where great. Highly recommended.
Only thing i can say, the house was a bit cold, overall. We limitted ourselves in the bedroom and that was fine. I can mark someone down because of it especially since its an old building and you can tell from the photos.

Everything. The owners were really welcoming and were friendly with our dog. The accomodation and surrounding grounds were beautiful. Great location with access to nearby visitor attractions. The owners mentioned future renovations to the kitchen. Can't wait to go back!
There wasn't anything that we didn't like.
