Very poor - wouldn't go again.

Lovely old building but very uncared for, the receptionist was helpful - replaced a broken bedside lamp.

Very shabby dated room. Ensuite was dirty and grimy. Hot tap was spinning freely in the basin.

Room modern and clean. Staff lovely

It was not like the reviews I had read. It’s had a mini make over. Room was spacious and clean. Bottled water was provided. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

No on site parking, but I knew that already. So can’t really blame the hotel

Good value budget hotel.

Friendly staff,large bright room even had a bit of a sea view. Dinner was a little basic but freshly cooked and tasted nice. Small breakfast was also included vegetarian was really nice. Loved the crunchy hash brown . Close to the beach. Live music was brilliant had a good night.

No parking or WiFi. Room could have done with a better clean and some of the facilities could do with attention.

Excellent for a quick get away

The location of the hotel is in a very convenient location with shops surrounding it. A sea wall that you can walk on just behind the hotel. This makes it perfect for a quick getaway with the lads.

The pub was a little bit noisy, but I'm just knit picking if I'm being honest.

Horrendous!!!

Nothing!!!

Everything!! Arrived to the place in darkness at 5pm, room at the top of building( no lifts). Room was disgusting, stained bedding, strong smell of stale tobacco in bathroom. Bath filthy, shower taps unbelievably dirty! And the radiator/ towel rack rancid!! Both exhausted after long drive, slept on top of the beds fully clothed & got out first thing. Very unhappy with Booking.com letting people book this accommodation through them. The pictures being advertised did not resemble the room we were given.Paid for breakfast but couldn’t of eaten there if my life depended on it ..

Traditional old building, nice decoration and location, central, all amenities near by with a traditional pub. No car park, there is a public paid car available near by

Hotel advertised break fast included, but it his someone doing a plate of breakfast and tea or coffee and that's it.. not continental, with variety of breads, cakes, croissants, yogurts, fruit, juice, no, only 1 plate served like restaurant.. Advertising not mentioned karaoke night, so I had live karaoke night till 00:00. 43 degrees to reach 2 nd floor. Fantastic weekend spent in a fantastic place

Centrally located, close to the sea, pubs, parties. At the bottom of the hotel there is a restaurant and a pub. English breakfasts included in the price of the room, a revelation. Opposite the hotel, a long-open shop can be stocked if something is missing

Whilst not luxurious, we thought it very good value for money, and enjoyed our stay. We would stay again.

Centrally situated. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent sized bedroom and bathroom. Large and comfortable bed. Weather cold but room warm and cosy.

Bathroom a bit tired - couldn’t flush loo properly (mechanism broken) and basin tap falling off. Used ashtray in room!

Value for money , good location , helpful manager

The manager was really helpful , can’t remember his name but I was worried about leaving my tools in the car overnight because I didn’t know what the area was like but the manager let me store them in a little room downstairs that no body used and it gave me piece of mind that my tools were safe.also the chip shop called the fisherman’s rest is really nice and there’s a decent barber right next to the pub

the room was fine. when we arrived we had to phone a number for someone to come and check us in. had a 4 and half hour train journey and went to the football on the night so being a long day i decided to go to bed at half 10. got in my room the floor was viabrating due to the karokee down stairs got in bed the bed was the same and even though im partly deaf i could still here the music blazing

Worst place we have ever stayed!!!!!!

Mattress was comfortable, big TV, clean toilet

This is the worst place we have ever stayed in!! We had to walk through the pub to collect our keys and were given room 2 which is classed as a suite. We had a bath towel each but it would have been nice to have a hand towel for just drying our hands. We didn’t have a shower due to the black that was in it, we tried to wash it off but there was no budging it. The sink was not much better and we would not have used the cupboard under the sink due to The stains in it. There was a dead fly on one of the window sills and stains on another which could easily have been washed off. The extension lead for the tv and kettle would not lay flat and was just hanging down. One of the drinking glasses had lipstick still round it so I decided to give it a wash in hot water. I left the hot water tap running for a good 10 minutes in to the sink and it was still cold so I had to heat some water up in the kettle to clean the glass. On arrival we were told that Friday was karaoke night but unfortunately room 2 is directly above the bar so once the evening started that was our peace shattered until the music finished at 12.20 am I will upload a video of the sound we had to listen to. As our room was above the main entrance doors to the pub once everyone had left they loitered chatting outside which then went on for another 45 minutes. This was not the end of the noise as at 1.30 am a male and female in the room above us decided to have a full on row for the next two hours. I don’t know for sure but we got the impression that it was someone from the pub as the lady was not happy about being taken advantage of with her work shifts. The nearest car park to the pub is a short stay with a maximum of 4 hours so we had to park in a long stay which is about a 10 minute walk to the pub but here we could only book to park for 18 hours so this meant I had to go and move my car at 7.45 am which was not an ideal time considering the lack of sleep we had that night. I could go on…………..

Great value for money. Staff there are so friendly and make you welcome. Breakfast is fantastic and sets you up for day. When we go to Sheerness again will definitely stay there.

Location was good and easy to find. Good size room. Tea, coffee and bottle water was good.

Wanted to book in somewhere else on the first nights stay as felt uneasy. Just glad to go home .

Too many stairs and no car park. The room still had rubbish in bin from previous guest. LIVE BAND directly underneath the room which I was not advised about and it was going on until late and causing vibration through the floor. Very noisy . Staff were nice and helpful but took a while to confirm my pre paid booking as they couldn’t find it.

No lift, no parking , not enough towels. Not a nice area at night time. Would not go back sorry.

Terrible experience

I’ve asked for a wheelchair accessible room but I was giving an upstairs room had to crawl to get to my room terrible staff unhelpful. I was being abused in a front of them and they refused to call the police for me! Never ever coming back there

No breakfast,

Room was filthy,hadn't been cleaned,dirty cups,bin still full from previous residents,not convinced bedding had been changed either, no staff easily available, wasn't obvious where to leave room key on checking out

The room was swarming with flies, so much that I had to buy fly killer, the carpet was filthy and stains on the sheets and pillows, decided not to stay even 1 night, god knows what would be crawling over you during the night.

Honest? I stayed because of the wretched rail strike. I was attending a function

Breakfast was good and plentiful. However, advertising choice could be better. Space seen by the pubic was OK, behind the scenes the place was clean, dated and tired. Certainly in need of some TLC. I travel a lot here and abroad and judge a place on Breakfast and shower. MY room was tired but clean and comfortable. The shower did not offer hot water - seems when I pointed this out at breakfast , management apologised and confirmed an engineer was on their way. Parking was poor albeit the management did warn ahead of my visit. Parking nearby all short term (max 4hrs - got told signs need to be updated to reflect a change in council policy) A local was able to suggest off road parking nearby at no cost - brilliant.

Parking . Cold shower. Breakfast could be better advertised offering more than "full english breakfast" Yes there was other choices but the Royal need to prepare a menu and promote what ever they are capable of offering.
