The lodge was so welcoming and cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. Lovely basket of sweets and coffee pods left for us. Short walk into the village where we had a lovely meal and cocktails.
Unfortunately the heating wasn’t working in one bedroom but that wasn’t a big deal as the lodge was still cosy enough.
Didn’t meet any staff so couldn’t comment on them but the communication before we arrived was spot on.

Kitchen was very well equipped. Bedding and towels were excellent. Location was great.

The property was in a very good location, clean and well decorated

Fantastic cabins, well equipped with everything you need. Including Air fryers. Suited everyone from the youngest (19months) to the oldest.
If you don’t like to be in isolation (don’t look at the highlands) then this is probably not the place for you. Town has approx 600 people living in it
4.3
Warm, comfortable, well equipped
Arrival board was frozen and I couldn’t find my chalet number at first 😂

The location was beautiful lodge was cosy and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay just a few minutes walk from the village
there was nothing i can say negative about the lodge we had a lovely time
4.3
The location on the edge of the village was very handy for local pubs, shops and restaurants and only 2 minutes walking distance.
The host Malcolm could be seen occasionally but was never obtrusive.
Many thanks

The accommodation is very reasonably priced and was convienient for wandering into Braemar for dinner. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was clean and well equipped.
4.3
Warm and comfortable, very convenient for the village . The general appearance of the site following the demolition of the hotel and the rather tatty caravan were a negative but the cabin itself was very nice.... we would visit again !
See above...

Location for exploring the area
Non-existent lodge/hotel which had burned down. Reception in a caravan. Interior of cabin very dated and bizarre decoration.
4.3
The cabin was a great place to stay , perfect for a couple . shops and restaurants were in easy walking distance although booking is a must as they tend to get very busy . the cabin had good cooking facilities and a comfortable lounge area.
great base to explore the local area
nothing all was as expected

Very convenient for the village in beautiful surroundings .
It was comfortable with basic amenities.
Found it quite small and dark inside

Malcolm the host, top guy.
It’s a great pity the hotel burned down so atmosphere a bit lost without it.
4.3
Lots of space in and around the cabins for a family of 5 - the facilities all worked well and the cabin has a great shower with lots of hot hot water! Food from the Kings Tavern was lovely and the host an absolute gem. There was outdoor communal play equipment for the children and very clean accommodation. Would certainly stay again.
Nothing negative to report from our perspective - we had a great stay.
4.3
Super nice and spacious lodge. Location is also perfect. Less then 5 minute walk to the village centre.
Owner is very friendly, and also owns a good restaurant: The Kings Larder.
From the house you can do multiple nice hikes. Also Balmoral Castle en Linn of Dee are only +/- 20 minute rides.
Our lodge smelled really bad. I don't know what it was, cigarette smoke or wet dogs.... But every time you walk in from the outside it really smells. After 10/15 minutes you get used to the smell.....

Nice and convenient cottage, ideally located. Perfect for a 1 or 2 nights stop to visit the surroundings.
No dishwasher

The location was superb..Good walks, super play park & Good restaurants close by.
Lodge 4 was tired, Kitchen units ( screwed and nailed closed) and main appliances in poor condition. Dull and drab. Few cutlery items matched.. The lounge heating radiators wouldn’t work..Advert showed a beautiful hotel on the premises .Unfortunately the hotel burnt down last year.. okay as a base but not value for money…
Lodge 9 was a lot better, however the boiler developed a fault during the week

Location was great for walking

Unbeatable location, 4 minute walk to village centre, cabin is comfortable and peaceful
Would like more clothes storage in the twin rooms, with more hooks. Also more kitchen utensils like scissors, salad bowl, water jug, and more crockery and cutlery, we were slightly short.

Absolutely beautiful location within a short walking distance of Braemar's shops and restaurants. It is a great base for travelling around parts of Scotland.
The cabin's location was tranquil and peaceful.
Braemar is a stunning village.
When we arrived there was nobody around to greet us, it took a little bit of time to figure out which cabin to go to. I understand now that this is the self check-in process but wish this had been communicated before we arrived. We also did not see anyone at check out.
The only time we saw the owner was when he walked around the side of our cabin by the windows to spray weedkiller. Not great for our privacy or our dog!
Parts of the cabin were not very clean, there was out of date food in cupboards, used jars of tomato ketchup and in a basket of shampoos, sweets and expired milk cartons there was a used cotton bud.

Cosy cabin.
Wonderful location.

Location perfect for glenshee.
You get what you pay for I guess. It was clean and warm and comfy, but paper thin walls, and some maintenance needed. Squiffy toilet seat, some bulbs gone, gate on decking not closing. But we had a great time. Dog made welcome.
4.3
Well equipped, excellent location. Wheel chair and dog friendly which was excellent for us. Already planning our next trip xx
4.3
location, comfort, value for money
it took us a while to work the radiators - and when I asked for help, I never heard back
4.3
Wow it was so cosy, quiet and had everything in it, great WiFi and only up the road from Glenski ski centre. The owners were always on hand and lovely little village with everything you need from Petrol station, chip
shop, restaurants, pub, pharmacy etc
Nothing it was perfect
