Layout and size of the home was very good. Amenities were good, the entry from the drive was spacious and there were plenty of bathrooms. Front garden was pleasant to sit out in. The view from behind the property was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent week at Morrone cottage. We had 2 families staying so took the annex and the main house. The house was great for large family groups. We really enjoyed the window seats as social areas or good places to read. The kids loved the huge garden and proximity to the heathland out the back gate. The cottage is a short walk from the village but far enough away to be quiet and close to good walks. The walk up Morrone is great and accessed from the front gate!

We had a brilliant stay at Morrone House, which is very well equipped and very comfortable. We were 3 adults and 2 teenagers, and there was plenty of space. From the rabbits in the garden, to the bees in the azaleas, it was like being in a Beatrix Potter book! There are a lot of local walks around, and we all managed a swim in the river down the road, which the children loved. Easy walking distance to the pubs and restaurants of Braemar, which were lovely. I would highly recommend.

Lovely home in a superb location. The house was spotlessly clean, comfortable and everything you needed was on hand. The location was fabulous, not far from the high street in Braemar with many good restaurants and bars. There are so many lovely walks close by. The area is absolutely stunning, we walked mountains, saw lochs, visited castles and went for a whisky tasting tour at The Royal Lochnagar Distillery. We had a a fantastic holiday and we will be back !

Sadly I arrived with a fractured wrist so we had to cut short our stay for my next hospital appointment. We were very happy with the property and facilities.

Fabulous location and comfortable , well equipped home. Gorgeous garden and wildlife visible from every window .. deer, red squirrels , birds . Delightful .
Not for public review :
(Thank you for providing the extra heaters as the fire in the living room couldn't be used ( smoke into the room) . We hadn't anticipated the downstairs double bedroom being so on a limb but there was plenty of living space so we didn't mind, though some folk might. Might be better to have second fridge too. We'd definitely like to come back . Lovely welcoming neighbour . Friendly owner . Perfect holiday . Thank you for sharing with us.

So we have returned to Morrone House again and we spent such a lovely time there! Very clean, well kept house in a quiet location, no road noise.
Perfect for large party. There were 5 audults, 5 children and a dog, and sill plenty of space. Open kitchen to dining table and a fireplace was definitely our favorite pace in a house where we were spending most of time. Large front and back garden for children to play.
Only 10 min. walk to local grocery shop.
Very nice and spectacular surrounding area to take long walks and relax.
Deffinitely I recommend Morrone House for quite and relax get away.
Thank you so much.

We stayed in the house for a family gathering. It was plenty big enough for our group of 5 adults, 2 children and 3 dogs. We booked the house and cottage, which is attached to the house with a lockable door. The house was large but very homely, you feel like you are staying in a friend's holiday house. The views from every window are amazing, the garden is very large and well maintained. Braemar itself is lovely, with shops and cafes all in walking distance, just down the hill. There are wonderful walks from the front door. We really had a lovely stay and I would definitely stay at the house again.
The only reason I have not given 5 stars is that we had to bring our own sheets and towels and pay for the gas and electricity while we were there. It's not a big issue at all but I would have preferred to be charged more overall and these to be included. Its just a bit of a faff but not a big problem. The house is very reasonably priced for the location and space on offer.

We had a truly marvelous week. The house and cottage were perfect for us and we simply could not have been a happier group leaving at the end of our stay in such a beautiful place. We loved the artwork in your house, the area to sit out at the front, the gate onto the moor at the back and so much more - the new shower - the lovely window seats - many were inspired to come back sometime.
