Yuck. Not recommended.

Very disappointing stay. The place needs some love and it really could use a good clean. It didn't look much like the photos in the listing. Note that there is no kitchen, you have to wash dishes out of the tiny bathroom sink - I for one am not convinced the cleaners would go through much trouble to clean cutlery and dishes thoroughly in this way. Even the chairs had large stains. The towels were old, and the hot tub and surrounding area were just filthy. You can also hear the people upstairs walking, talking and watching TV clearly. The BBQ is filthy, the yard is unkept with old furniture, a caravan, a trailer and all sorts of things just lying around - dead plants at the back. And a note, if you bring your dogs, it's not fully fenced. It really isn't the nice relaxing vacation space it looks like. We just got a pizza delivered, slept on top of the bedding, and then left super early. See photos before you book.

Not great would not stay again

Hard beds, shower head was broken the other guests that stayed were very noisy we could here it all. No cable tv and the door from spa to main living area.

Disappointed. the noise of the others in the room next to us ruined it for us

Comfy bed, very clean, nice bathroom and good spa pool!

Apart from the missing door handles, no sink to wash dishes, an issue with wifi to begin with, a creepy deer photo staring at us, heating issue with the lounge door to spa not closing. the awful noise from the people staying next to us, thumping and running all hours of the night we had to knock and ask them to be quiet as it sounded like they were falling through our roof at 3am and we couldn’t sleep.

Location was great Bed was comfy

Spa pool was un usable. Opend and smelt like a stagnant pond. Living area was more bed than a couch. Chairs very uncomfortable. TV was terrible as seems like we were fighting with the people next door. Both controlled the same TV and ended up just Turing it off.

Ruined our holiday.

Spa was old and did not heat up. The hosts behaviour was disgusting. Yelled at us for parking momentarily in the driveway to unpack, yelled at us for various other reasons and laughed at my daughters face. Called the cops on us because we brought our dog which was in the fully fenced back yard, even though the add said pets were allowed. Then tried to charge us extra money even though we did not stay. Completely ruined our holiday. Worst stay ever.

we did not dislike anything it was awesome , just a side note to stock up on toilet paper and supply more towels in the notes it said there were spares but they must not have been re stocked but it wasn’t a biggy we just hung our towels on the line to dry with the sunny weather ,

The privacy exceeded our expectations with the added bonus of a spa pool at our disposal 🥰. Highly recommended !!

nice place, but could be better

location was good and spa was lovely, very clean

very overpriced as was a busy weekend, but still expected to be able to wash our dishes, and dry them (no tea towels)and smoke alarms should be installed especially as there is only one exit. expecting a premium tariff but providing a budget product . the reviews bring up the same issues but there doesn’t seem to be any attempt to make basic changes which is a shame as it could be a lovely spot

Quick trip

Fun mother daughter quick trip to Taupo. Easy location in a quiet street. Cute and comfortable. Good shower pressure and temperature.

Wrong door code was given but quickly sorted by helpful owner. Spa definitely on the cold side. Which is a shame as it is the sole reason we chose to stay here over a motel. Door to the spa area didn't close properly leaving the room where my daughter was sleeping cold. A kitchen sink would be a great addition to the room.

Good option but quite expensive for what you get.

Nice quiet location and the spa was a nice bonus although we didn't use it, preferring to swim in the lake. Easy check in with lock box was good since I was running late on check in.

The spa was very noisy at night right beside the bedroom making it difficult to sleep. The internet was patchy and I think with too many other guests using devices it disconnected some of our devices which had been working OK previously. No milk in the fridge but it was provided the following day after requested. The guests upstairs were quite noisy and the sound of people walking/talking/kids etc comes through the ceiling/floor quite a lot.

Was great but could have been much better!

Loved it all in regards to the room. Place is fantastic a great set up and nice and private.

The spa wasn't hot or even warm was pretty much cold and when turned bubbles/jets on blew out freezing cold water. The spa was the main reason for choosing to book and stay here so was a bit disappointing that the spa wasn't working as a spa should. The other downer were the kids running up and down stairs and above us till 1130 and then was woken by same thing at 5am. Been a mum of a 7yr old I know there not much can do about it.

Clean. Rude communication. No milk. Cold spa. No night lights. Unwelcoming.

The unit was clean.

We arrived after dark and there wasn't even a night light on. We felt like we were breaking into someone's home! The spa was quite chilly, slightly above body temp. Owner rang me before 8am to solicit another $35 for my little dog to stay. I thought that was very rude. The price quoted was $30 by email. There wasn't even milk in the fridge for a cup of coffee! For the price I thought that was unacceptable.

Best thing was the spa pool. Hot & private

Liked the location - easy walk down to Taupo lake. Quiet street. Loved the spa pool.

BBQ - no gas bottle. No stove just a microwave. Door in living room to outside area doesn't close as TV aerial leads out through it. Not a lot of soundproofing - could hear the guests walking around next door as they also have upstairs.

it was a nice room for the night, and the bed was comfortable and warm.

We wanted to go in the spa pool when we arrived but it was off and cold. The owner came to turn it back on but it took hours to heat up.
