Nice conversion of an old building. I liked the finishing touches.

This is my favourite hotel in Bristol, and I have stayed at many in the past 12 months. Comfortable, cool, cosy, classy and generally (c)quality!
Nothing.

Geschmackvolles und passendes Design der Einrichtung
Das Zimmer war eher klein und auch etwas ringhörig.

Hotel was in a great location and interiors had been thoughtfully designed. Staff were very helpful, responsive and friendly. A la carte breakfast (not included) was very good. Provision of earplugs and chargers/adaptors in room was a nice touch.
Our major complaint was the price. Even our truly tiny "budget" room, barely larger than the bed itself, cost over 200GBP/night for two nights, not including breakfast. It's Bristol, not Hong Kong or NYC. To be clear, we weren't misled - they do provide square footage - we just didn't quite register, and having stayed, don't consider the cost justified.

The Artist residence is a decent enough place to stay and is centrally located. The photos on the internet are flattering of the hotel, it has a shabby chic decor, but it's a little on the ropey side.
The staff are great and very helpful

Room & customer service

Room had a smell of damp, amenities were lacking slightly for the price of the room.

Very nice room, with everything you would need for a night stay!

Really cosy. stylish hotel with lots of little nice touches in the room. The staff was also very nice. Would happily stay again.
My only complaint, which is minor, is the lack of healthy food options at least when I visited the restaurant, which was admittedly at an odd time (4 pm). All they had was a very unappetizing chicken sandwich on A LOT of bread and a selection of nuts. Salads would have been great, but the kitchen was also closed at this time.

Excellent kitchen!!! ;-) And very courteous staff!

Nice decor. Friendly staff
There is a building site nearby - bit noisy.
Woken up in the night by a loud drunken conversation outside.
Neither of which were hotels fault.
Room a bit small.
Neighbourhood felt a bit edgey

Quirky property, has loads of potential, some nice touches in room, friendly guy checked me in. Easy to walk to town
Room so small you had to squeeze around the bed, not good value at all!
pool of water on bedroom floor when I arrived, and the lock to the door came off in hands when I tried to turn it.
the noise levels were ridiculous. I appreciate you are staying somewhere there is a bar / restaurant but I’ve never know noise levels like it, into the early hours of the morning. I understand you get noise from people in the rooms next door, but it was like having my bed in the actual bar!

The people were friendly, the rooms were cozy, clean and beautifully designed and decorated.
The price is a little high than usual.

The room was extremely lovely with great touches ( fresh milk, lovely products, radio, great tv, amazing shower, great coffee machine) and the Snog Bar was a treat in the morning for breakfast.
The loud guests on the stairs at night but that is to be expected I suppose. As I had work the following morning it was annoying.

Rooms were beautiful, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast tasty
We stayed 2 nights to celebrate my daughter’s 30th birthday and had booked dinner the first night. Unfortunately due to there being only one chef working we were told there would be a delay in taking our order and they could not tell us how long the food would take to arrive! In the end we ordered an Uber and went to the Ivy and had a great night but I expected better from this Hotel.

lovely location
The person checking me in refused to use the booking.com email and forced me to give them my email. They assured me I wouldn’t receive any marketing and yet I am now magically on their marketing newsletter list.

nice hotel
refused to check me in with my booking.com email. they then signed me up to their marketing emails without my consent and when I asked to be removed they told me I needed to create an account on their hotel website to unsubscribe.
