Rooms warm and cozy, immaculately clean , everything you need in side fridge microwave kettle . Staff make you feel really welcome and comfortable, pub next door does excellent home cooked food and very reasonable prices also do breakfast . Rooms and pub all dog friendly with lovely walks round to take the dogs , only downfall as a frequent visitor of the town is they rooms sell out fast

Very comfy bed, good shower. It had a microwave, a fridge and plates etc. the pub was where you had meals, breakfast drinks. A great friendly welcoming pub . The food was very good and good value. Plenty of vegetarian choices. Which were very good. Tasty. Thank you. Enjoyable. I’d definitely stay again. Also big plus DOG friendly.

The property looked lovely but unfortunately on arrival we were told it was not available and we had to stay in a dated room above the pub next door with a view of the back yard and kitchen.
It was booked for my daughters 21st birthday. We planned banners and balloons in the window for her arrival but couldn’t do this as the room was unavailable.

The hosts were exceptionally friendly and willing to do anything to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. The breakfast was also incredible and for only £5 it was a bargain. The fields around the property are gorgeous too.

The room was exceptional value for money. The rooms were basically decorated but extremely comfortable. For the reasonable price the rooms included extras like a fridge, microwave, toaster etc. The beds we’re comfortable and I slept well. We enjoyed a breakfast at an additional cost although again at a reasonable price and an an excellent evening meal, again that was enjoyable and reasonably priced. It was ideally located for the area and activities we were visiting. All staff friendly and the pub was warm and welcoming.
Nothing at the price paid. It doesn’t offer luxury but provides everything you need for a few nights away with the added bonus of extra facilities in the rooms, great pub serving pub grub and accessible parking. It’s located away from other facilities in a small village but well positioned between Durham, Beamish, Kynren etc.

Quiet and well equipped little room (kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge), ideal for one person or a couple staying for a night or two. Lovely location. Very cosy, which was great on a cold night.
The only drawback was the shower: I couldn't get hot water out of it at all. That may just have been me though.
4.0 / 5.0
Good facilities in the room. Comfortable bed. Good location.
The bathroom was cold no heater or towel rail.
