Fabulous location at one end of the High St yet not at all noisy at night, very comfy beds, great shower and bathroom, excellent communication with agents in charge. Very well presented house, with a modern light-filled kitchen. The best bakery EVER and two excellent restaurants all within a 5 minute stroll, as well as shops, fish and chips, a very good Thai place ..... we didn't stop eating.

For a couple it was fine would be cosy with 2 couple.

Conveniently located property on the High Street close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Very comfortable beds, modern kitchen and bathroom, lovely living room, perfect for our needs.
The front door was very difficult to open. In fact I couldn’t manage it, thankfully I had my husband with me or I may not have got in or could have been stuck inside!

There was a problem with the lock on the front door and couldn’t get in so had to use the back entrance, this wasn’t resolved during our stay. There was some mould in the wardrobes and the ouside area was not well maintained

Comfortable clean property in a brilliant location 2 minutes from the beach and on the high street with a wide range of shops and restaurants
A few little niggles but suited us as a base for being out and about in Aldeburgh

Front door was impossible to open, either from the outside or inside so we had to resort to using the back door but the side gate to the street could not be closed.
The shower did not work so we asked the agents to get it sorted…..they responded by asking us to fiddle with the fuseboard!! They said they would check with us to see if it was sorted but they didn’t!!The shower waste was partially blocked which meant the tray filled with water very quickly and we had to wait to finish our morning showering to let the water drain away.
Not sure if a requirement, but there are no smoke alarms upstairs…..
The gas fire has contradictory instructions in the booklet and the note taped to the hearth!! It didn’t work anyway and would have been nice in this week’s cold weather.
There was no dishwasher, so the glasses were unacceptably dirty and we had to wash them thoroughly before we could use them. This is despite the booklet stating that glasses must be washed ready for the next guests.
To sum up, I felt that the £120 charge for cleaning (out of the £290 total cost) could never be justified, particularly as we were being asked to do a load of the work in advance of the cleaners even arriving. It somewhat spoiled the experience in my opinion.

Location was great. Loved the bedroom.
As we were in Aldeburgh already I asked for the possibility of a slightly earlier check-in, which was possible but for an extra charge, which in my opinion was too much for the time period. The house smelt of damp. There wasn't any soap to wash hands for the loo.

The small courtyard garden had not been cleaned the 2 chairs and table were covered in bird droppings and leaves as were yhendecking floor. We had to clean before we could, sit out there. Also there were dish washer tablets but no dish washer or washing up liquid. . Apart from that it was very comfortable and has a great stay.

This was a great location and a great property. Would recommend to friends
I do not understand why the fee for the property includes a £120 charge for cleaning

Lovely house in a great location on the High St, with parking outside and the beach only a few minutes walk.
Door was a challenge to open and stairs pretty steep, but not major problems.
My main issue was the £90 cleaning charge which we had not anticipated when we booked! A bit excessive after a two night stay, especially as we were asked to strip the beds and empty bins etc.

The house was very clean and the location was perfect - just minutes from the beach and on the main shopping street.
No dishwasher

The cottage was perfect at one end of the high street. It had everything you would need for your stay. kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable and everything was clean and fresh looking. Loved the decor throughout. V handy for everything on the high street -chippy and pub few doors down. Parking available nearby but not on street outside. A lovely stay.
Just a few niggles - the door was the trickiest door ever, not easy to open from outside or inside and definitely had a knack to it. The TV needed a degree to work it - tried everything but could only get BBC channels. Be nice to have a couple of things handy ie condiments or little blanket as got a little chilly. Think we were just unfortunate but after planning on going to Prezzos after long day out we discovered it was closed (Saturday all day); other restaurants looked busy so after a lot of discussion decided to go to supermarket which closed at 9pm. Just little things but might be worth checking out times of closing or if places are actually open! Also chippys are obviously very popular so queues can be tens deep. Chinese takeaway was great though. Very handy for a base to see other places though.

We loved the location and the house it was perfect for 2 couples . Very clean and tidy .
We couldn’t get the fire on .
The shower turned on by its self in the middle of the night ,
The front door was hard to open at times .
The bath plug wouldn’t close properly so it would only fill to 1/3 of the height and keep running out of the gap.
A few issues but we still enjoyed our stay and would return .
A little noise from pub next door if window open .
