Super lovely people and very good communication.
Lovely place just outside Turialba and easy to walk to town.

Great place for a family with young kids - lots of space to run and explore without worrying about traffic. On site waterfalls are wonderful. Mili is an excellent resource on local things to do and even put together a custom tour for our young family.

The location between the town and its facilities and the forest was excellent. Our host, Mili, was extremely welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable.

The owner, Mili, was very helpful in all aspects of our stay, including the booking process, and offering recommendations for restaurants, transportation, and other activities before and after we arrived. The restaurant recommendations were unnecessary, as the food onsite was delicious. The hiking trails nearby were excellent. The hotel also offers bicycling, rafting, and horseback riding. Before we arrived and when we left, Mili was quietly standing by to coordinate any potential difficulties with logistics.
Nothing to do with the hotel, but the road from San José to Turrialba is winding and slow-going (35 miles, two hours of travel time). Recommend staying hydrated (a bottle of Coke would have been a good idea) and using medication if you are susceptible to motion sickness. Also, the taxi drivers in Turrialba did not recognize the name "Eco Bambu," but knew the hotel very well by another name, "Explornatura." Because everyone here is super friendly and helpful, this caused only a slight delay, and was resolved with a couple of quick calls via WhatsApp.

The tour of the waterfalls was beautiful
We got there unexpectedly after dark due to being held up in the roads and having no Internet, which meant it was hard to find (no sign or lights on) and the windows were still open on arrival which meant there were some little bugs in the room.
I think if you arrived when it was light and they are expecting you it would be much better!

Very comfortable cabins with great views. The grounds also had a good hiking trail with waterfalls.

We had a great time here! It was a stopover location for us, but I wish we could have stayed longer. The cabins are really nice, the beds are good and you have a very nice view. Also, the owners are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good. They even have their own forest behind the location where you can do a hike, with multiple waterfalls and even ziplines. It was a better and more exciting trail than some of the parks where you have to buy an entrance ticket for. Quite the surprise!
I can really recommend this place to everyone who is in this area!
Nothing really!

Mili was an extraordinary host and took me on an evening stroll around the property, showing me waterfalls and even a sloth. Very good communication prior to arrival. Stunning property a bit away from the centre with nice views and cool wildlife.
Pains me to say as host was so nice, but it wasn't very clean. The sheets hadn't been changed (but Mili came straight away to put on clean sheets when I told her). Also the dishes in the kitchenette were dirty and stained (it's the guests' responsibility to clean dishes but still, somebody should check if they're clean before new guests move in). Also, there's not a lot of kitchenware (no oven, no boiler, no microwave, only one cooking plate and no fridge) so don't plan to cook a proper dinner.
Breakfast was typically Costa Rican, unfortunately no milk, only milk powder.
