About this apartment rental
Quiet and secluded, but just a fifteen-minute walk from popular Corris, this lovely lodge has been completely refurbished to create a comfortable rural home. The owners, James and Sophie, live up at the main house and they've put a great deal of care into it. Heated with a ground source heat pump, laid out using the rules of Feng Shui and designed to be as cosy and welcoming as possible, this place will appeal to keen cyclists, walkers and those of us who just want to escape for a bit. Surrounded by pine forest, with a river running opposite, it's in the Dyfi Valley, with the Dyfi bike park just a ten-minute drive. A traditional slate building, the inside is modern and practical. Cosy up on the sofas in front of the fire (a basket of logs is provided), cook in the smart kitchen and eat at the contemporary dining table – it's all one sociable space. There's a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, with two more upstairs with sloping ceilings and skylights. In the summer, step out onto your patio with a cup of coffee each morning and just listen to the birds. A short walk away there's a public park – perfect for dog walks – and you can stroll into town to the cafe and pub.
Home truths:
*This is a rural location so the weather can affect WiFi, electrics and water – if there's an outage you'll have the log fire, torches, gas camping stoves and bottled water
*There's a steep, 25m drive up to the front which can be used for loading and access – and there's parking for up to four cars
*You're welcome to bring up to two well-behaved dogs but the garden is not fully fenced
*All three bedrooms can be setup with either king-size or twin beds
*There's a secure bike storage shed and James can even lead a guided cycling tour
*Get in touch with the hosts if you'd like to hire a hot tub or have any in-house spa treatments
*There's a campervan parking space
*A travel cot and highchair are available
