What an amazing home with views galore! So much space for the 12 of us and our dog. Loved the open floor plan. Deck and patio were awesome and the screened in boathouse on the water with gas fire pit was the cherry on top. Everything was so comfortable. I would definitely recommend.

House and amenities were great for our family. The place was clean and we'll maintained. Only downside is the temperature of the lake being right by the power plant.

This house is beautiful and suited our family well for our vacation. Loved the spaciousness of both the house and yard, relaxing in all of the outdoor spaces (deck, patio, boathouse). Kids enjoyed using the kayaks and paddleboards. The only thing I wish I had known was how warm the warm side of the lake is…it’s hot. It’s basically a hot tub, temps were between 100-103. I’m sure in cooler weather that’s a neat experience but in the heat of the summer it was not the most refreshing. Fortunately the cool/public side of the lake is only 15 minutes away and we enjoyed using the state park access as well as renting a boat. Overall this house hosted some great memories for our family.

Master shower curtain was covered in mildew and smelled terrible. We found a previous guest's diva cup in the master bedroom, and a pair of panties in the bunk room. Literally hundreds of live and dead ants in the cabinets, pantry, sinks and bedrooms. I left some ant bait (that I had to purchase) for the next guest to use.
The gas grill under the deck has an issue that forces fire out through the burner control knob, melting it from the inside. Otherwise, all furniture was well maintained and usable.
3 stars because during the stay, we pointed out multiple issues that weren't addressed for days, other than "We'll see when we can get someone out" or, "I can understand how that's frustrating". After the stay, I had a wonderful representative that kept me informed of the refund process, but after having to throw out food because of the ants and having issue after issue in this house, the refund amount was embarrassingly low.
Overall, it's a 'good, not great' house, but needs a lot of attention in cleaning and replacing relatively inexpensive items. There is an obvious ant infestation, with nothing being done to fix it, and this is present on multiple previous reviews.

We had a lovely stay at this home. Lots of things to do and beautiful scenery.

Lovely home and amenities BUT VACASA provided no support or communication.
Ants in kitchen and bathroom
Dirty/moldy shower curtain
Grill broken
Outside/downstairs fans seized up
No propane which they said they did not get their propane delivery yet - texted asking how to get reimbursed and no response.
We reached out to VACASA once Saturday, 5 times Sunday and finally got a text reply Monday morning. One rep was off and the other had a "Family Emergency". Monday morning brought us a box of ant traps and said the shower curtain was bad and this was the ONLY contact VACASA made. Asked to speak with the reps manager and nothing. Called VACASA main customer service number and nothing. Emailed VACASA and they said they were trying to reach out to the local manager and NOTHING.

We loved this house. The property was perfect! The lake is so warm and inviting and literally the greatest. We traveled a few times into DC and it was a great distance. So easy to get to the city to sightsee. We WILL be back.

We really enjoyed our stay. Used the kayaks, paddle boards, and screened in porch while fishing. But, the screens were all ripped. The video game didn't work. The controller was stuck in one direction and we were not able to play it. On the first day we had an ant problem, the washing machine had to be serviced since they didn't have the water on apparently. We had to have batteries brought in since the remote didn't work for the tv. The coffee maker was leaking as well. Despite these problems, we did enjoy the outdoor spaces and it didn't ruin the fun.

We loved the location and the cleanliness and lake access and it suited our group of 11 to a T for our family wedding.

Every room has a scenic view of the lake. Everything clean and in great shape. Lots of amenities.

The house was clean, reasonably updated, plenty of utensils, cups, plates, etc. sleeping arrangements were perfect for our group of 10 (2 families). Dock was well laid out for lake relaxing. Kayaks, SUP’s, the water mat thing - all great. The beach area itself was top notch. The only things to know ahead of time - no firewood provided, some of the screens ripped (just cosmetic at this time of year), plenty of propane cylinders - empty - took a quick trip to country store to remedy. Would book this house again!

We loved our stay at this house. It was clean, and was comfortable for our family. The dock was great for fishing. The kayaks were nice to have. One big problem was the arcade game machine did not work like it did last year when we stayed here. I messaged the manager through VRBO but didn't hear back. Our kids were disappointed. Even though we encourage them not to play video games, they really loved it last year and we wanted to come back this year. If it is advertised on VRBO, then steps should be taken to make sure it works.

My family and I had such a great time. It was a much needed relaxing experience with such a beautiful view of the lake. We did not want to leave. Will definitely come back again.

The house was perfect for our large group that included 11 people. We love that we could bring our dogs. The house was very clean when we arrived, however, the vents on the ceilings were very dusty. Other than that there were no issues. We would definitely stay here again ;-)

Home was great size for our group of 15. We had room for all. We enjoyed the open kitchen, the grand windows overlooking the lake. Super place to bring the family for a getaway.

We lucked out with beautiful weather at the end of October and peak foliage. The house has been up kept well with plenty of space, entertainment, lake access, and plenty of amenities provided. We went during off season with 3 other families and a group of young children and it was an amazing time. The kitchen is well stocked with necessities as well as the bathrooms. If we needed anything Food Lion was about 5 miles away. Beds were comfortable and there were ample sitting spaces inside and outside. We used the grill which worked well, built a fire every night by the house (wood was not provided), and was by the lake during the day. The boathouse’s screen windows and doors are non existent and the 2 seater pedal boat was broken. There were kayaks and paddle boards but some of the ores were broken. The water was extremely warm and the views were breathtaking. We were on the private side so not a lot of water activity from others. We had trouble with our access code to get into the house. Internet was very spotty and glitched out a lot. The lights on the outside of the house only worked but no lights were accessible in the boat house for the evening. It was overall a comfortable and pleasant stay.

This was the perfect place for our group of 9 adults 3 kids and 2 dogs. It was a pleasant surprise to find out that the home resides on the “hot side” of the lake where is it useable all year long. We were able to swim comfortably in late October!

House is perfectly set up for a vacation home. Kids can stay on the bottom floor and adult can have a relaxing living area over looking the lake. The boathouse living area was an added bonus.

Overall positive feeling about the accommodations in the home and the lake front beach. Lake water was 96 degrees in September, which was lovely. Large anchored raft for relaxing in the water. House seemed very clean when we arrived. Plenty of seating in the home for a large family or group. Screened room on dock was nice with plenty of seating. Negatives were, arrival instructions were to use a key in a lockbox, but the no key was in the lockbox, so after the many hours of travel, as all 8 of us arrived in our 3 cars, we could not get inside the house. I had to call in, and then wait to be contacted to learn there was a front door code. Wish we had been given that prior to our arrival. Internet barely works, so plan use your hot spot. Bring TP, as they do provide, but a bare minimum. Screen doors on sliding doors were broken. And the paddle boat steering was broken, so the "senior" member in our group had no boating options, as kayaks and paddle boards were not an option for that person. We had a great time for our family vacation, and the children were asking to come back next year. House and property were 5 star, just a few things need to be better organized (check-in instructions) and a few things were broken, which we reported to Vacasa. I highly recommend this property for a relaxing lake front vacation. View is amazing!

We had a fabulous vacation at this beautiful home. The location is private and the view is gorgeous. The home has everything you need for your Lake Anna vacation. We enjoyed swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, corn hole, and puzzles. The grill, boathouse, many outdoor eating options, firepits, and huge yard were also perfect for our family and dogs. There is plenty of room to spread out and bedrooms for everyone. The kitchen is well stocked. There is so much to enjoy at the house that we stayed close to home but the area is beautiful and the home is centrally located.
There was a little hiccup when we first arrived with the code to enter the house but the Vacasa rep solved the issue right away.
Thanks for a great vacation and we hope to be back soon!

We enjoyed the stay. House was perfect for the amount of people we had with us. Views from living room, bedroom and back porch was awesome.

The property was very clean and had a lot of "toys" we enjoyed. The SUPs, kayaks, badmitten, corn hole, and outdoor fire pit. The house is large with ample space for everyone. We had a great time, it is a beautiful house! The whole family had the best time! The lake was warmer than expected, that was the only bummer. For those wondering about previous reviews, we found there was definitely proper and enough kitchen pots, pans, plates, silverware, etc.

Property has plenty of space but especially the back yard for tons of activities. Location was easy to get to and was close to places to eat or if you need to run to the grocery store. Only cons I would saw is the internet and wifi was spotty but at the end of they day, trip away to the lake is to disconnect. The property allows dogs so please be aware if you have someone in your group who is allergic to pets, hard to get clean up all the dog hair. Overall a lot of pros that outweigh the minor cons so would definitely be coming back.

The property was fantastic for entertaining a large group. The backyard allowed us to play yard games and enjoy the beautiful weather.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this home.
PROS:
We loved the amount of space inside available for both dining and entertaining. The bedrooms were a nice size and we liked that they were plenty of bathrooms. We didn't use the TVs much but it was nice to have the 2 big-screen TVs in the communal areas. The yard was great! The deck and under-deck area were very spacious. We enjoyed having a fire pit near the house and one near the water. The screened-in porch near the water was amazing. There were kayaks that could have been used but we didn't have life vests so we didn't utilize that amenity. The parking was ample for the number of guest present. There was a grocery store close by, we also had a chance to visit a Cider place which was hosting an event, and we had a decent dinner at a nearby seafood restaurant.
CONS:
We went during the off-season so we had a bit of trouble accessing the house, so maintenance had to change out the battery in the digital door lock. The house also had a smell of being closed in which was understandable, but we didn't have room spray or candles when we arrived. There weren't enough pots and pans to cook for a large group but we worked around that. There were cameras all around the outside of the property which is understandable from a place of security but it was kind of creepy. Lastly, there was pet hair out the living room couch that kind of gave the feeling that the house could have been cleaned a bit better.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the home. The Vacasa crew was amazing. We received updates throughout the booking process and the actual stay. We loved the option of the late check-out.

This was the perfect getaway. Beautiful home, expertly cleaned, ample room for all. My family has been thanking me for booking this ever since! We cannot wait to visit again in the summer :)

Second time coming to this house because our family loves the outdoor space - Unfortunately we won’t be coming back because of the lack of care from the rental company. Our first visit we told them about the broken screen on the dock and no one ever came out to staple it back up. This second visit we texted them on Monday letting them know about damaged items in the house and asked about a replacement filter for the fridge ice/water since the red light was on- they were supposed to get back to me and never did. On Friday I wrote again at check out since it had been 5 days with no response and still no response! Very disappointed to be ignored and have zero response about missing and damaged items throughout house - even a text saying it would be fixed for next time would’ve sufficed for us. Our family cooks all of our meals and it was especially hard to use the kitchen due to so many missing or cheap damaged kitchen items. House seems very clean but did find an empty beer bottle in our bathroom along with a hair ball on the floor, as well as beer bottles, chips, and pillow stuffing on the dock - cleaners may have just missed this. All in all the spot on the water is great, and the house looks nice from afar just not as nice once lived in. If the rental company cared about the house or customer feedback it could be a great place !

The kayaks and paddle boards provided were the absolute best and made our stay. Everyone used them all day long. The boathouse was a major plus too - very comfortable for everyone to hang out all day. The only thing lacking was the number of towels, dish rags and trash bags. Also would have been nice for beach towels to be provided for the lake - we had to use our bath towels and then wash them. If we were local I guess we could have brought our own beach towels but we flew in from Florida and didn’t want to pack bulky towels. Will definitely be returning, we absolutely loved our stay with family.

There's a lot to like about the home. It's very spacious. Perfect for the summer and good for cold weather.
If bringing many people for SEVERAL days, be mindful that the hotel sized shower gel and shampoo will not be sufficient. Please bring your own shower gels.
Besides that, we enjoyed the stay. Food lion is 5-10 minutes if you need last minute items.

I loved this house! It was beautiful and my friends and I were raving about the layout. Such a lovely home! The only thing is the internet wasn’t too great, it was very slow so it was difficult to load anything. I think it is a fair warning to let people know on the listening that the internet can be slow. However, we really enjoyed the space and enjoyed having our retreat.

The pictures do not do this property justice! The house is larger than expected. Our group was able to spread out and not feel cramped. We appreciated the modern amenities and comfortable bedding. The beach area, access to rafts and kayaks along with the screened in porch was a special treat! We will be back!

Clean, open, accommodating…exactly what we needed. Loved that the kids had the downstairs area as a play area and their bedroom was there too. Beautiful view. Plenty of space for 15. Would totally go back!

We had a wonderful time. The home was so clean and welcoming and had all of the amenities we needed. Highly recommend! (We brought our own boat and we easily launched it at the marina down the road!)
3.0
We book houses all over for our family and we are used to some issues. The house and the property were great. The house needs a second full size fridge and better mattresses but overall the house itself was good. There is no stable wifi so don't plan on working while here.
Unfortunately we do feel that the listing about water access was a little deceptive. There is areas on the lake that you can rent a boat and or jet skis but you will not have the luxury of renting them and bringing them back to the house as the "private side" does not offer that. Also you need to understand that the water access is not available during the summer.
We rented at the beginning of August and found that the water was not swimmable. With the house being at the end of the nuclear power plant chanel the water will be 10-15 degrees hotter then even the hot side. We measured the temp of the water and found it to be 99.8 degrees. The fishing is terrible there is no water sports, there is no swimming, there is no direct access to boat rentals. Because of the lack of honesty in the water access I feel like we did not get the vacation we expected.
Also the water will stain your boat hull so be careful

I’m giving 5 stars because of the location of this home and the layout and cleanliness of it. The open floor plan is so spacious, and the extra kitchen area downstairs is really helpful. Theol view from the back deck is lovely. The house sits in a cove with no visible neighbors, only lake. Our family has stayed at Lake Anna for many years, and this was one of our favorite homes. You would not know that it was a pet-friendly home, so clean! The outdoor spaces were beautiful and well maintained. The furniture was comfortable and plentiful both inside and out.
There was a slight maintenance issue and it was taken care of within the hour. Management was friendly and very quick to answer all questions. Be aware, however, when it says “boat rental available”, that it in no way means that you can get a rental boat to the house or to any dock on the private side. We felt this statement was misleading. You can bring your own boat and tie it up at a nearby dock, but you simply cannot rent a boat for the private side, only the public. The only other issue, as a previous review mentioned, was ants. By the end of the week, they were all over the kitchen.
We would rent this home again if we were not interested in having a boat.
We had such as relaxing week. Thank you for sharing your home!

My family and I stayed for a couple days and were beyond thrilled with the house! Interior was all updated with plenty of bedrooms and a huge dining table for family gatherings! The property was great with a perfect private beach with plenty of seating, and we especially loved all the water toys!!! My older parents especially enjoyed the screened in porch with fans to keep them cool on the dock. Would definitely rent here again! Only issue was an ant problem…

Our new favorite
The property was perfect for our stay. We’ve stayed at many places around lake Anna but haven’t found one we would book again. We found it at this place! The home is clean, well stocked and cozy. There are plenty of beds, sitting areas, and comfortable seating. The house has an open feel and an amazing view of the lake. The property has a cute beach and amazing screened in porch on the dock. It was everything we were looking for! It was seriously the best place we’ve stayed at in Mineral by far.
*the internet connection is spotty in this area so know that if you plan on booking and need internet access*

beautiful view with some improvement needs
House was beautiful , when we walked in we were in awe of the big windows across the whole house looking out onto the vast waterfront property. The house was also very clean. The only downside was it almost seemed as if it was not finished for guests. The tvs looked brand new but we could not watch them - the owner has to set them up with an account to be activated. the WiFi also did not work as the signal was too low and no coverage throughout the house. There’s also no serving bowls or fry pans (the ones they had were broken.). The screened in dock was absolutely beautiful but when we got there one of the screens had been ripped down. I let vacasa know right away it needed to be fixed but no one ever came which was disappointing so wasps kept getting in the porch. Other than the fixes needed throughout the house, it truly is a beautiful property and would love to go back if we know they are fixed for next time!
