With views of Lake Superior, Hillside Harboris a beautiful home in the heart of Grand Marais situated perfectly on a quiet residential street. Located two blocks from the vibrant downtown area which include shops, restaurants and the harbor. Hillside Harbor is ideal for nearly all occasions.

The home features three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The main level features a bedroom, bathroom, living room, a gorgeous kitchen with stainless steel appliances and dining room area that has two decks, both with views of Lake Superior. The larger deck also features a propane grill. The upper-level features two bedrooms and a bathroom. The lower level features a cozy TV room with an electric fireplaceand additional space for the littles.

Just blocks from Hillside Harbor you will find live music, great food, exciting shops, short hikes and more. If you are looking for an adventure, you’re also on the doorstep of the Gunflint Trail with direct access to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. In addition, the Superior Hiking Trail crosses just above town near Pincushion Mountain. This home provides direct access to the best the North Shore has to offer, and does so year-round.

**NOTE:Guests with trailers, this home is in a residential area and there is not enough room for more than 1 trailer per group.**

This was our first stay at Hillside Harbor, but it will not be our last! We’ve stayed in many VRBO properties and this was by far the nicest one. The house is absolutely beautiful, high end finishes, fantastic layout and has everything you need. Every detail is accounted for. The location can’t be beat, and the hosts were so responsive and helpful throughout. We were there to celebrate our parents 55th wedding anniversary and DeeDee’s house made it a wonderful weekend.

We had a great stay at the Hillside Harbor. We were spending the weekend taking a baking class at the Northhouse Folk School. The location could not have been better. The house was clean with lots of soft towels and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The host communicated with us before we showed up and made sure that we had everything we needed. Great house for a fun get away up north in Minnesota.

Such a lovely place. More beds than expected, sleeps 8 is not couches! So nicely decorated, local art, record player, everything is just beautiful.

We had the most beautiful stay at this lovely home in gorgeous Grand Marais! The house was spotless, stocked with everything we needed, and oh so cozy. The record player was an unexpected treat and we had a lot of fun listening to a wide range of tunes. We are planning to book again next year. Thank you!!!!

Our group worked during the day and squeezed in some shopping & dining in Grand Marais. We had adequate room to spread out and this home comfortably housed 4 individuals. Our host, DeeDee, was always available if we needed anything. The process of check in & check out was straight forward & easy. We were within walking distance to downtown & enjoyed our stay.

This is a great house to rent! There were six of us & appreciated the convenient location. It was nice to be able to walk to many stores, the harbor and restaurants. It was quiet even though close to downtown. Very comfortable and all new interior. We would definitely rent this house again!

This rental was amazing! The check-in/check out process was simple. Great info in the welcome binder and home was very clean! The home has all that you would need in the kitchen for cooking meals, but the location was so perfect for walking around town that we spent our weekend eating at the various restaurants in town and exploring the state parks and sights nearby. Our weekend stay was during the music festival so we were also treated to every night of music in the air on the deck and with the windows open in the evening. Beds were comfy and clean as was the whole house. Being 80s kids, we found the vinyl bin and boy do it being back memories and we had plenty of reminiscing one evening! We had a very relaxing time and would definitely return! A big shout-out to Dee Dee who was amazing at answering any questions or concerns and making sure we were having a great time. She is very responsive and is nothing short awesome!

This home was perfect for our family's needs. Everything we needed in the home was easy to access, and more than we expected. Perfectly walkable to all things in Grand Marais and an easy drive to out-of-town excursions.

Myself and friends enjoyed a long weekend at this property. We skied at Lutsen and it was the perfect place to call home base. The decor and thought behind all of the “must-have” items was outstanding! We would love to come back!

Place was well described. Close to trails, 30 minutes from skiing at Lutsen. Kitchen has everything you need. Everything was neet and clean. Shower was amazing. Great water pressure and kept the temperature. Not like hotels that get hot and cold. This was our first trip there. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay! We are frequent VRBO renters and this place was at the top of places we have rented. Extremely well stocked. Absolutely everything you could need. Super clean and so well decorated! DeeDee was very responsive during our stay. We will definitely be back.

This house is really nicely done with an updated interior. Easily sleeps 6 with 2 king beds and 2 twins and 2 full bathrooms. It has a well equipped kitchen and a nice dinning area for dinner. The house is clean and comfortable. It is perfect for a vacation up north! We have rented twice and will likely rent again next year.

Loved this property! Beautiful updated and comfortable interior. Great size for our group of friends needing separate sleeping surfaces and spaces. One friend even brought her own LP albums to utilize record player we had seen in photos! That was a fun treat! Only needed more time and cooperating weather to utilize deck. Wonderful kitchen and all the tools necessary for eating in and ideal location in town for eating out. DeeDee very responsive although we didn't have any issues to deal with during our stay. Will hopefully stay again and highly recommend it!! Thanks DeeDee and Rob!!

We had a fantastic stay at Hillside Harbor. The owners/managers were great to work with—responsive and helpful at every step of the way. The property was exactly as advertised and served as a great base of operations for our stay in Grand Marais. We loved having everything in walking distance, from the shops and restaurants, to the brewery, bookstore, and the donut shop. We really felt like we were part of the community. The property was spotless, comfortable, and cozy, while giving us more than enough room for our group. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed when we wanted to cook our own meals, and the views were spectacular. We are already planning our next visit.

This cabin was such a cozy stay! We loved how it was right in town, and most things were in walking distance. Great kitchen to make meals in. The record player was a nice touch! Loved taking the drive up to Grand Portage to take in the nature and scenery. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in Grand Marais.

The house worked out great for our family of six! Kids loved the fun upstairs bedrooms, and we loved the separation of a main-level master. Bedding was very comfortable. Kitchen was set up extremely well. It was fun to see the kid’s first experience with records-they has so much fun with it. Was a quick drive to skiing in Lutsen, and great to have dinner on the harbor in the evening. Host was great to communicate with. Definitely recommend!

The property was wonderful. Great location, fully stocked with everyone we could need (including games and records!). We chose to stay in Grand Marais even though we were skiing at Lutsen. It was only 25 minutes away from the mountain, and a perfect getaway. Great location, very clean, comfy beds and hosts made sure there were plenty of details for you to enjoy your stay. Would definitely stay here again.
