An original harbor side home, renovated with modern decor, with a feel that is both vintage and fresh. Situated on a corner lot on the harbor with a spacious yard perfect for campfires, games, relaxing in the hammock, and simply watching the world go by.

This place is so cute, clean and the perfect location in Grand Marais. It had everything our family of four needed for a long weekend. It is walking distance to all of the great restaurants and shops in town and a short drive to beautiful hikes. We highly recommend this gem of a place. Thank you so much!

We were in town with our extended family and this VRBO was wonderful. We were able to set up the back bedroom for our 6mnth old to sleep/nap in while back to relax in the front living room or outside by the fire. We were also able to host our extended family over for some smores and hot dogs over the camp fire. The location is right on the edge of the commercial district and has the same ease of getting around as anywhere else in town. We also got to meet MaryKate when checking in which was a nice touch to learn a little bit more about the accommodations and whom we were renting from. Traffic noise was an initial concern but was a complete non-issue. Would stay here again without any hesitation!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful little historic home. Marykate and David are excellent hosts and we were grateful to them for fixing up this sweet little home to share with visitors while enjoying the North Shore.

We enjoyed everything about this property. It was very comfortable, spotless, and well equipped with everything we needed for the weekend. It was perfectly located so that we could walk anywhere we wished around town and the harbor. Mary Kate is an excellent host and we would stay here again.

You open up the blinds and Grand Marais Harbor and Lake Superior are right there in all their glory. What a way to start the day! This place is charming and very well decorated. You have two great restaurants across the street and downtown is easy walking distance. MaryKate is a friendly and attentive host and a lot of fun to visit with. No place better for your stay in beautiful Grand Marais.

We arrived later than we intended due to road conditions, but immediately settled in. The place was immaculate, well appointed and very comfortable. There was a fresh pack of Fika coffee and a bottle of sparkling water which were both very much appreciated. The location is fabulous. I spent a lot of time in the chair by the front window breathing in the aroma a lilac bush right by the window and watching the sailboats in the harbor. I have mobility issues so didn't leave the premises very often (seven steps to get into the apartment), but my daughter walked all over town. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed a walk across the street to our favorite eating place, The Angry Trout. Would love to stay here again.

My brothers and I started a yearly tradition on doing a brother’s trip. This year we decided to stay in Grand Marais - and I saw this listing and I knew I had to book it asap! MaryKate is a phenomenal host - she walked us through the amazing property and was very responsive via VRBO messenger. I would 10/10 recommend this property to anyone! It’s absolutely gorgeous and you are so close to everything!

Great location and communication with property manager. Beautiful cottage. Only downfall is having to go through one bedroom to get to the other bedroom. Ok being it was family but privacy was limited.

This is the perfect cozy little house for a getaway to Grand Marais. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. Everything was very clean and the host was very responsive to any questions or requests. The Fika coffee by the coffee pot was the perfect finishing touch.

Very comfortable and well appointed. Fantastic view of Lake Superior right out of our front window. Owner is super nice and met us when we arrived. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shops in Grand Marais. A great location.

We had a wonderful stay. Knowing that the temperatures would dip below zero, our host put flannel sheets on the beds. This rental was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we were looking for. Too cold for a fire this time but next time I would love to sit by the fire and enjoy the beautiful view!

My son and I enjoyed were impressed by how clean the apartment was and the location was perfect. My son took a class at the North House Folks School which was only a block away and I explored Grand Marais and hiking in the area. Being able to walk around Grand Marais from the apartment was very convenient.

Wow! Talk about attention to detail! Such a wonderful home...very comfortable and nicely decorated! The host thought of everything....special local coffee, I am a tea drinker and there was an electric hot water kettle....close to town...easy access to shopping and the gun flint trail. Our host even set up a fire for us! Incredible views! Will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay - everything was very clean and comfortable (great beds!) and we had everything we needed. The beautifully laid fire in the fire pit was a great touch and we really enjoyed it. The location is unbeatable, with an incredible view. Highly recommended!

My wife and I have been going to Grand Marais annually now for the past six years. This year, we found this property right on HWY 61. Location is ideal! Less than a five minute walk to most GM locations. It was nice to be within walking distance of all our favorite spots, instead of staying in a bigger place outside of town. We missed having a dishwasher and a washer and dryer, but it was a good trade to stay in this location. We will definitely consider staying here again!

I was traveling with 3 of my sisters and this couldn't have been a more perfect house. MaryKate greeted us at check in and made us feel at home. The house was charming, clean and had everything you could need in a home away from home. Great location to walk to restaurants, shops and explore Grand Marais. We also enjoyed an evening around the fire pit outside. An easy drive to nearby trails and local sights. Would highly recommend staying and I hope to be back again someday.

This is one of the best we have stayed on the North Shore. Great amenities, loved the automatic shades ! Also close to the lake and all of downtown Grand Marais is within walking distance. Would stay again, possibly next fall again.

We loved our stay at this home. We stayed in Gran Marais and drove up to the Canadian border for day trips. It is centrally located, and you can walk to restaurants, a brewery, and craft studios. The view out the front windows is magical with the lighthouse, Lake Superior and seagulls. The host left us supplies for a campfire. Recommend this home and hosts.

We enjoyed our stay in Grand Marais and the house was perfect for us. We could easily walk to enjoy the shops in restaurants in Grand Marais. The view from the front window was perfect and we enjoyed using the fire pit.

We stayed at the house for six days, everyday was wonderful. The kitchen was fully stocked (even with spices), there were beach towels to us and a ton of board games to play at night once we were done eating s’mores at the fire pit! The fresh flowers from the garden when we arrived in the houses really made it feel like home! If we ever end up in Grand Marias we will definitely stay here again! Thank you for making it a wonderful family vacation.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend getaway. MaryKate is a gracious host and made us feel very welcomed. She even set up the bonfire pit for us, which we didn't get a chance to use. You can't ask for a more convenient place to stay with a beautiful lake view. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
