Great house and great central location in Porlock village. Lovely big open plan living area - great for family and friends. So handy for the local pubs and shops. Taking the open top bus from Porlock to County Gate and walking to Porlock Weir was fun.

It is a great, exceptional house recently refurbished, with good beds, excellent bed linnen and towels, all great showers and a great kitchen (including Nespresso machine). Netflix is an added bonus for the evenings after a challenging hike.
Porlock is great for exploring Exmoor with a couple of good pubs and restaurants.

All the essentials were provided to ensure a great holiday experience - comfy beds, plenty of kitchen equipment and a useful utility room and also books/ board games/dvd's etc in event of inclement weather. The location was superb, could easily take a number of walks directly from the property, and stock up on essentials in the local village

We have stayed in many cottages (plus 50) across the UK and Europe and this was in the top 2 of best equipped. We like to cook and enjoy the benefits of the cottages we stay in and we literally wanted for nothing in the kitchen - very impressed!
The bedding was excellent - great pillows and duvets.
The location was excellent and close to all amenities, the beach, and great walks.
Lovely touch with the doggy biscuits, poop bags and 2 dog beds.
Be sure to book ahead in high season for restaurants and takeouts.

The central Porlock location is perfect for walking in many directions. There are many maps available inside the front door that guided us around the area. Fast internet and good mobile signal (best in the courtyard) meant that we could work when necessary and book restaurants easily.

Great Porlock holiday
Very clean and modern interior. Spacious and comfortable. Excellent location for the village and coastal walks. Parking was a little complicated. Maybe a BBQ in the garden would be nice. Overall very pleasant and we would happily book again.
