We had the most amazing stay at North House. We are holidaying from Australia, and The Cotswolds was one area we were very keen to visit. Bourton on the Water did not disappoint. The cottage was gorgeous and had everything we needed, it was clean, modern and a perfect layout. We particularly loved the back yard for the kids to run around in. The location was absolutely fabulous - a few doors up from the perfumery, antique shops and one street back from the river and main strip which had restaurants, pub, tea rooms, shops etc. It was one of the best holiday accomodations we have experienced. I can highly recommend this amazing property.

Lovely cottage in the most amazing location for such a beautiful village. Parking outside the front door...great choice!

Short walk to many restaurants, pubs, cafes, gift shops, bakeries, take-aways, ice cream parlours
Fabulous Co-op, fabulous Motor Museum, fabulous Birdland!
Beautiful village.

Booked 3 nights in North House. Just perfect for a Stay in Bourton on the Water. It’s right in the centre but on a little side street with parking for car. Would definitely book again.

So if you are fortunate enough to have a little time to spend in the Cotswolds-- and you want a lovely cottage a few steps to the water with a beautiful private backyard garden, modern appliances, a parking space in a village with few of them, cozy bedrooms with views, very comfortable sitting space living room to relax, a very responsive owner, all the amenities you could possibly want-- then THIS IS YOUR HOME!. We from the states and spend lots of time in the Cotswolds and find Bourton on the water to be the best central launch point with superb dining and drinking options-- a co-op nearby-- and awesome walking trails-- we hoped to find an authentic home to relax in which is both close to the shopping/eating/pubbing and yet removed enough to not be in the crowded and the North House was everything we could have asked for. THANKS for allowing us to stay and hope we can visit again quite soon.

When we arrived on a rainy, chilly evening it was very welcoming to find that the heating was on. The house was spotlessly clean and perfect in every way. The bathroom was spacious and modern, the master bedroom was big enough with plenty of storage and a comfortable bed. The property is located on a quiet street minutes walk from many pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants. The kitchen is small, but fully equipped should you decide to cook. The garden was secluded and not overlooked and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio when the weather improved for a couple of days. We have stayed in many self catering rental properties and this is one of the best.

WOW. I don’t think pictures do this house justice.
It’s on street behind main stretch of Bourton on Water. So when tourists dwindle down you can pop out to take a few unspoilt photos. There are a few tourists walking pass the house but not overlooked. Modern kitchen with all utensils and crockery you will need are provided and we did cook a few times there. Open plan dining and living area really benefitted us with young children. Beautiful garden which we did an Easter egg hunt in.
Shower is powerful and hot. Towels are white, clean and fluffy. Bedrooms been refreshed and bed is soft with plenty of pillows to choose from. Spoke to the hosts and were extremely accommodating with check in and check out times. Having own parking space in such a location was a god send! We drive an X3 and would not have been able to fit another car on the drive, therefore be mindful if you’re planning on parking two similar sized cars. A little on the pricier side but you’re paying for prime location, cleanliness, responsive and accommodating hosts, convenience, all necessary facilities. Have shared north house with friends already!!

Myself and my father stayed at North house for the week of cheltenham festival.
North House was a great property ideally located in bourton on water .
I would highly recommend this property for is quality and location within the town

We had a great stay at this cottage in the Cotswolds. Was a bonus to have dedicated parking at the front. Just a little feedback for the housekeeping team, the bins in the kitchen had not been emptied from the previous stay so we had to do this ourselves.

Enjoyed a five day stay at North House Bourton on the Water pity the weather was not as perfect as the house. But still a very pleasurable short break in the lovely Cotswolds. The house could not be more conveniently situated, on a cul de sac in the very heart of the village. Despite its central location there was little to no vehicle or passing pedestrian noise. The house is less than a minutes walk from a myriad of pubs, restaurants shops and other eateries. The house was fully equipped for four persons and the tv and wi-fi worked perfectly. The galley kitchen whilst narrow was more than adequate with an easy to use cooker. Full instructions for the heating and all gadgets were available in a folder. The beds, a double and two singles were very comfortable and warm and we enjoyed four undisturbed sleeps. The shower a large overhead type was lovely, hot and powerful set in a large bathroom. Off road parking is a real bonus in Bourton and access and egress posed no problem.
Bourton is a great base for exploring the Cotswolds including Bath, Oxford, Gloucester, Tewkesbury and numerous lovely villages and wool towns.
We have been visitors here every year for the past 20 odd years and never tire of coming.
Overall we had a very quiet and comfortable stay in the excellent property known as North House and I would definitely return to it without hesitation.

The location is ideal, right in village centre. Parking is a bonus. The double bed is the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Looking forward to coming back next year

Second stay at North House. Lovely, cosy cottage. Has everything we need. Great location, and parking a bonus.
4.7
The location of the cottage was excellent right in the centre, it was comfortable and well appointed. Externally it needs a bit of TLC and is looking a bit tired. The front and rear gardens need attention. Noise from the pub beer garden across the road was a bit intrusive as was the commercial extractor from the Chinese takeaway next door. This was particularly problematic as the extractor started at 12 noon until 1am. Enjoyment of the garden was spoilt due to the excessive noise and the cooking smells. Even with the bedroom window closed the noise could be heard from inside the cottage.
4.7
We had a nice stay at the north house with our family of four. We knew that the house was old and small, so no surprises there. The location is perfect, right in the center of the lovely village. For this high price per night we would have expected nicer and wider beds and more comfortable dining chairs.
All in all a nice stay

It would be hard to find a better located place to stay than North House in Bourton-on-the-Water. Everything we wanted to do was within a five minute walk and, most things were even closer! The cottage itself was very comfortable and cosy with ample facilities to make our stay with another couple very enjoyable. A great place to stay.

Great place for an extended stay and within seconds of Main Street of town. Highly recommend this place.

Accommodation was lovely and extremely convenient in the centre of town. Parking space very welcome given the village was swamped with visitors.
Good eateries with selection of meal choices for dinner are thin on the ground in BotW however the Bakery on the Water did exceptional filled croissants for breakfast.

This place was was absolutely wonderful. It was exactly what we were looking for. It had all the Cotswolds charm! Loved sitting in the back garden in the evenings with a glass of wine unwinding from our daily site seeing. It’s location was perfect, everything was within walking distance. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. It was extremely clean and was well equipped for all our needs. We will definitely be back to stay here again.

This delightful Cotswold Cottage is situated in the very heart of one of the most attractive villages, with the very lovely Winrush river within a minutes walk. There are two parking spaces in front of the cottage, and all amenities are within very easy and short walking distance. North House is very well appointed, and comfortable, having been given great attention to detail. We found the cottage to be immaculately clean

My partner and I enjoyed a fabulous week long out of season (November) break at North House. Bourton-on-the-Water is not only a beautiful place but is centrally located to visit other places of interest within the Cotswolds. The accommodation itself was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable - a real ‘home from home’. Lovely pubs, shops, restaurants and take-a-ways all on your doorstep and the off street parking a huge bonus. Would definitely recommend. Many thanks to hosts Suzie and Adam.

Lovley home, comfortable and cosy.
Great location, everything you need & want in walking distance.
Bonus to have the parking space, very pretty garden.

Unfortunately as my husband was not well we had to cut short our stay and come home which was a shame as everything was perfect.
As aside we did notixce that the wind had blown up the lid of the outside storage unit and the interior may have got wet

Welcoming little cottage in the heart of The Cotswolds
Booked this charming little cottage for a weekend stay when my daughter and mother in law decided to pay us a visit from Sydney. My wife and I loved our first visit to Bourton-on-the-Water, so we were so excited to find this place to stay in one of the prettiest towns in The Cotswolds. Communication was excellent leading up to the stay and no problem checking in. It's charming, cosy, well located and ideal for a couple, small family or 2 couples. We loved the welcome wine too. Would highly recommend!

Could not have been a better location and with much needed off street parking - a few steps to the village with shops, pubs, restaurants. Very clean, character filled cottage. We all had an amazing stay

Lovely place in the centre of town
We really enjoyed our stay. Good communication from agents and hosts. The house was in a great condition aside from the exterior which needed to be tended to. The driveway had some litter/ cigarette packet/ butts and the edging was messy. Same with the garden. Even in winter it needed a bit more tending to to match the photos. Wifi failed for two days and couldn’t be fixed but the hosts tried their best. Other than that we had a great stay. It was stylish and cosy and overall a positive experience!

We loved our stay at North Cottage. The open plan downstairs worked really well for our toddler as we could always see him. Beds were comfy and everything was well presented. The location really won the show - and to have parking too was a massive positive for us!
