Janey’s place is a gorgeous place to stay, a stunning area of the Cotswolds and ideal for groups that have their own transport. Lovely garden area to sit and enjoy the long warm evenings with a glass of wine. Bedrooms were nice and spacious and the Orchard End snug was really cosy and spacious enough for two. Surrounding area is beautiful however you need transport to get anywhere as there isn’t anything to do in Clapton-on-the-Hill. Burton on the Water is a short drive away, should you prefer a taxi a people carrier for 6 people will cost you £35 - £40 per journey. Walking into Burton on the Water will take you approx. 45 mins across the fields, it is a really enjoyable walk. We felt relaxed as soon as we arrived and had a great weekend. Janey is a superb host and responds to any queries promptly. We would highly recommend Janey’s place for a visit to the Cotswolds.

We were so pleased to settle in this gorgeous home for our four day stay. Everything we needed was provided. The beds were the most comfortable we had slept in during our five week UK trip. The house was impeccably clean and spacious. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a stay in the Cotswold.

Lovely character property. Nice open plan living with enough comfortable seating for the 5 of us and a good size dining table and chairs. Kitchen is a good size with everything you need and a big refrigerator / freezer. Good size 2 double bedrooms and the 3rd double bedroom in the shepherds hut is unique and was comfortable and warm even in a huge thunder storm. Good off road parking. Really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful location albeit a bit out in the sticks. Visiting outside the area will need to be by car or walking. Bourton on the water is stunning.

Brilliant stay in a beautifully kept converted barn. It could do with a bit of a deep clean but overall a great stay in a great location to explore some beautiful places. Thank you!

My family and I were looking for a quiet, quaint place to stay in the Cotswolds and this ticked every box for us. The property was like a setting out of a movie. The house was perfect, well laid out and well kept. Every appliance you may need (including a clothes washer, no dryer though) was included. It can’t really stress how cool this house was and how beautiful the grounds are. My oldest son slept in the “shepherds hut” and loved it. The small village didn’t have any restaurants or pubs but that leant to the quiet and peacefulness of the setting. There are walking paths nearby and you can get to Bourton on the water (you have to spend some time here), Stow on the Wild, Upper and Lower Slaughter (Lower Slaughter almost doesn’t seem real) and easily. It really was a perfect location for us to explore. We didn’t spend much time at the house because we were out exploring but it f we ever get the chance we will definitely be back. Can’t say enough about this place. Don’t hesitate, just book it today!!

This is the picture postcard Cotswold experience. Staying in a rustic converted barn, with a cottage style garden, overlooking the rolling hills and fields. We had the best time in a beautifully kept property. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Rooms are spacious and modern. Technology is great and you have everything you need for the perfect experience.
