The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates

Bunt barn is a stunning place to stay in a great location. Lovely little pub (Fox Inn) is cracking for food and is literally 200 yards away. Broadwell itself. is a very quiet hamlet/village and offers a much quieter place to stay than the very busy Stow on the Wold, and a one mile walk, up hill away.
The only thing I would suggest is that Bumt Barn supply a BBQ and possibly some Sun loungers, this is not a criticism, we loved our stay and would return in a heart beat.

Stayed for just 3 nights. Great location and very comfortable. My only complaint is that the primary bedroom has only a bath tub, without a shower. The 5 of us had to take turns using the other bathrooms shower.
Other than that, all was good.

Bunt barn was an ideal location for the wedding we attended that weekend. The church and reception were within walking distance.

Property is in a great little village location with a pub, green and ford. Walkable to Stow on the Wold and short drive to Bourton on the Water. Sadly, there were a lot of cobwebs around the property at height but also under chairs and tables which we had to deal with. Also suffered with significant bluebottle fly intrusion to second double bedroom and bathroom area (Early October 2023) and we were using fly spray and hoovering up around 100 dead flys every couple of hours during days. (Contacted the Property Manager who said it was a natural occurrence that was happening at other properties he looks after. Said he would call round next day but we did not see him or any note)

We loved our stay at Bunt Barn. The views are beautiful. Broadwell is a lovely village with a great pub, The Fox. We enjoyed walking into Stow, a town that has a great butcher, Lambourn’s, the baker, Otis &Bell, the Cheese Shop and great restaurants like Alexious and The Old Butcher.

Set in an idyllic location, Bunt Barn was the perfect base for our visit to the Cotswolds and a family wedding. We were very comfortable inside the barn and the wrap round garden was perfect for BBQs in the evening. There is a fantastic pub called The Fox Inn which is a few doors away on the village green which serves great ales and delicious food. All in all, a really magical time. Thank you.

Ideally positioned near Stow on the Wold to explore this beautiful part of the country.
The cottage is also a perfect place to relax.

Enjoyed our stay over Christmas but in reality the property is ideal for 4 adults and two children. We had 6 adults staying, one bedroom had no wardrobe space so the the adults in the bedroom lived out of their suitcase. Kitchen reasonably stocked though 8 mugs is a little on the depleted side. The Raeburn had one oven with a hot space below. Cooking Christmas dinner for six was a challenge but it was managed. Excellent location. Was informed only 3 cars could be parked on site and if this was exceeded money was to be deducted from the damage waiver deposit. Stay Cotswold could have informed us before booking and word the requirement in a more friendly tone.

Excellent location with walks from doorstep. Easy access to Stow. Nice open plan living and kitchen area which was great for a special birthday family gathering.
Plenty of parking space though turnaround could be a bit tight if had large car.
Ensuite in main bedroom could benefit from shower curtain or equivalent.
May also be worth replacing toilet seat in other bathroom area.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely barn conversion in a lovely village, quiet but walking distance from Stow.
The bedrooms are spacious, although the mattress in the main bedroom could do with a topper as it was a bit hard.

Helpful locals assisted us in finding the barn, as it’s tucked away behind two other barns. Bunt Barn is very spacious and well equipped with amazing outside space. The open plan design downstairs is great ,although we found the sofas gave tittle support and there was only space for 5 people to be seated comfortably. The main bedroom had an excellent en suite but we found the mattress to be very hard for our liking. The flat screen could have been a little larger considering the size of the room. If you are planning on doing much in the way of catering , then knowledge of using an aga would be helpful, but the kitchen is well equipped.
It’s situation in this delightful village is very handy for visiting NT properties and gardens in the area. We had an excellent Sunday roast in The Fox, but found you do need to book early as they are very popular. A very well situated and spacious property, we enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic location, stunning house
We had a great stay over the Easter break. The location of the house was perfect for us - 30 min walk to Stow, close enough but away from all the holiday traffic. We had some trouble finding it - it's just off the green, but the entrance isn't marked.
The house is stunning. There are lots of huge windows, so it's very light and airy. Definitely has some wow factor. Garden is huge, with nice patio / BBQ area.
Functionally speaking it has a few quirks - the layout of the bathroom is a bit odd, there is no door to the central section that has sink and mirror, so privacy might be an issue for some. The TV is positioned in underneath the upstairs balcony, so the sound carries all the way up to the bedrooms. The kitchen oven was a bit tricky to work, there were instructions provided but it's not the most user friendly appliance.
These points aside, we had a brilliant stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

We just loved it and already booking again so beautiful and so clean. I am very particular about cleaning and this beautiful Barn was the best I have ever stayed if I won the lottery I would ask to buy it as I’m on the look for my forever home n love with it and the owners you are so very lucky to have it ♥️
