Beautiful cottage and amazing location in the centre of Burford. Would definitely recommend to others!

Even though the dishwasher didn’t work during the duration of our stay, we really enjoyed the property and the playground a short walk from the back yard. The location was perfect. All was good.

The Bake house was a very comfortable property that easily slept six adults. The beds were lovely. Bathrooms were spacious. We were there in winter and the heating kept us warm and toasty. The cottage was very well equipped, and the gift of fresh eggs was much appreciated! ( For those with mobility issues, There is a steep step into the dinning room and the staircase upstairs was also quite steep - also unloading our car in Friday evening traffic was challenging and a reminder that we should travel light- er! Although, departing on Monday morning we could easily pull outside the property to load up the car. )
Would highly recommend this property.

Very good, spacious, accommodation in a quaint period property. Very smartly presented. Very clean. Really enjoyed our stay.

We were happy with the accommodation and the location. It is pleasant and charming property with nice rooms. We had fresh bed linen and towels on weekly basis and able to reach the manager easily when required. It was a nice place to relax and everything worked well.
It is an old cottage so expect this to be part of the character such as low doorway ceilings which at 5’ 10” you have to bow down to get under the beam.
This is of course in keeping with the period cottage and expected.

This is an immaculate cottage but we had no hot water Fri eve, Sat a.m. & Sun a.m. Five of us were trying to get ready for a wedding on Saturday morning. The property manager did come over on the Saturday morning & get the boiler running but there was only 45 mins for us all to shower, get ready & leave - far from ideal. No hot water again Sun morning.
The owner only offered us 10% of what we’d paid in compensation (as though we would pay several hundred pounds for a house without hot water!). Disappointing.
The property manager was kind enough to forward something left behind. Don’t book unless the boiler has been replaced/fully serviced. It’s a real shame as it was supposed to be a relaxing weekend.
