It's not uncommon to find multiple Turtle nest during nesting season on the beach adjacent to "Amazing GraySEA." Caswell Beach attracts several species of turtles and if you time your visit right you can witness the hundreds of hatchlings making their way to the sea.
If you prefer to spread out while lounging on the beach, Caswell is the place for you. Caswell Beach is the least populated of all the Brunswick Islands. "Amazing GraySEA" is located past the Oak Island lighthouse where public beach access is limited and space on the beach is abundant.

We are a dog friendly property. The owner will allow up to 3 dogs. Guests with dog(s) will be charge a $150 dog fee at time of booking. There is an additional dog fee of $99 for the second and third dog. The initial $150 should be charged at the time of booking. If the fee is not charged at the time of booking, the host will inform guests of the payment process for the initial dog fee and the additional dog fee, if it applies.
Guests who choose to bring dogs without registering them or bring more than 3 dogs may be escorted off the property and no refund will be given.

We had a wonderful time at the Gray Sea. The location was great! Beach wasn’t crowded at all and we got to see tons of sea turtle nests and even talk to the Sea Turtle Watch group one night. The house was well stocked with games and anything you might need for the beach. The layout of the house is great with each bedroom having its own toilet and vanity attached to the Jack and Jill shower. We can’t wait to return!

This house was wonderful, kitchen appliances and utensils were plentiful. It was a great house for kids. My son was 18 months during our stay and there were no unsecured nick knacks for him to break. Plenty of open space for him to run around. The kitchen even had plates, sippy cups, and kid utensils if we had forgotten them.

Beautiful house and view! Excellent floor plan and plenty of parking. Many games and activities available as were beach items. Quiet neighborhood with plenty of activities for whole family. Dog friendly!!

We had a great time. The property was amazing. It was well stocked & well decorated. The owner was very nice and so helpful with everything. This is my 1st rental where I actually didn't have to put the sheets on myself. It had a very welcomed feeling. We would definitely stay here again.

This home was more than we could have expected from a rental! Every need and detail was completely anticipated all the way down to the canine visitors. We didn’t have our pets with us but they would have been just as cared for as our children! Two moms and 3 daughters (8,8,9). The home is very well cared for and maintained as well as impeccably decorated! LOTS of open space so even though it’s a classical beach house layout, it’s very open with plenty of space for everyone to find their own corner to relax. Beautifully located on the private end of the island with water views from every window. We can’t wait to go back! The owner was very kind and completely accessible, altho we didn’t need a thing! The house is in great shape!

My mom wanted to get away with just her 3 daughters and her grandchildren (which meant no loud and crazy Son-in-Laws allowed). We so looked forward to relaxing days on the beach and quiet evenings playing games and reading at night...and it was just that...and perfect. This was the first vacation without my Dad who passed away two years ago. I also celebrated my 1-yr. cancer-free anniversary while we were there by taking a long walk on the beach.
The week could not have been more wonderful. The house was perfect, so well equipped and organized. The quiet street and community allowed the peacefulness we sought. Nancy was great with communicating before/during/and after the trip. We definitely hope to be back...without the husbands again!

I have been vacationing in Oak Island for 40 years and this was one of my favorite stays. Caswell Beach is just 5-10 min from East Beach Oak Island and much more private. Ocean front is always nice to have but to have waterway views from the back of the house is even better! The lighthouse was a short walk (8 houses down), very private beach (even on Memorial weekend), and the house was super clean. We brought a lot of kitchen items but did not need any of them. Paper plates, power towels, aluminum foil, etc was provided. Super spacious living area with extra seating/chairs between the dining area and main area with large TV. Nice outdoor space on the front of the house with table and furniture, and back of the house with chairs/furniture. I am sure that we will be staying here again!

We love coming back here. Location is amazing -- ocean and intracoastal views, plus two lighthouses. Close to great food in Southport and Oak Island. Extremely well stocked house -- you want for nothing in terms of supplies or beach equipment/toys!

It was an amazing experience from the moment we booked the home. Location was perfect and quiet. Bonus was having the Beach as our backyard!
The layout of the home was also perfect for our family. Having all the bedrooms on one floor worked out nicely with our 3 grandchildren.
We didn’t need for anything.
Nancy our host made sure we were comfortable and she was always available and quick to answer any questions. She also made our stay stress free so we could all relax and have a wonderful time.
I would recommend this home 100% to anyone traveling to Caswell Beach.

We loved, loved this rental! It was our first time to the area and we enjoyed the calm, quiet of being on Caswell Beach. While it was only me, my husband and our son the house is set up well for larger groups. The house was clean and nicely decorated, beds were comfy and the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Nancy was also easy to communicate with and answered any questions quickly! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again - can’t wait to come back when we can fully enjoy the beach and outdoor spaces in the summer!

We have stayed at countless rentals over the years and this is definitely one of the best. Excellent location, virtually a private beach, well stocked, beach games, plenty of chairs,umbrellas, and bikes available. Will definitely return! If you want a commercialized area, then this is not for you. If you want a fairly secluded area, with direct access to a nice beach, with limited public access then this is for you. Exceeded our expectations!

We have been renting homes throughout NC several times per year for well over a decade and this may just be the best one yet -- from the wonderful communication from the host to the amenities and cleanliness to the spectacular location. Nancy worked with us last minute when our other rental had a heating issue and couldn't be used. She was very understanding and always responded quickly. This home has everything you need for a beach visit - a room filed with beach goodies (chairs, games, toys, bikes), plenty of towels, an outdoor shower, a walkway directly to the beach, well-appointed kitchen with high quality appliances, comfortable beds, and plenty of common space inside and out. The house is located on a dead end road on Caswell Beach near the Oak Island lighthouse which makes it very quiet (both on the street and on the beach). Don't hesitate - book it while you can!

The home was very clean, comfortable, well furnished and stocked, organized, and beautifully decorated. Been to Oak Island over 8yrs and have never stayed on the Caswell Beach side. Oak Island has gotten crowded over the years but this side is still very much peaceful and relaxing which our family loves! Nancy updated us with details making sure our checking in/out went smoothly and giving us instructions on what needed to be done for an awesome stay! Wished our stay was longer but it was very last minute and thanks to Nancy everything was prepared and ready to go for us! By far one of the best properties we’ve stayed in with every amenities you could think of! Gorgeous gorgeous home!!!

This was the perfect beach house in a very nice location. The host went out of her way to accommodate our late check in due to flight delays, even going to the house to turn some lights on and leave us a few cold drinks in the fridge (I guess she knew NOTHING would be open at that hour). We will definitely rent again for our next family vacation.

Beautiful view and location
The house has beautiful views from any window and porch. The beds are comfortable. The property manager, Nancy, is very good to work with. The only reason I gave it 4 starts, instead of 5, is because for $10k/week, I felt like the kitchen should have been completely upgraded and the showers could have been bigger. The showers were very small. But it's a lovely, quaint house on a quiet beach which was perfect for our family.

Wonderful Family Vacation
This house became a "home" for us on our family vacation! The décor is beautiful and the open floor plan provided plenty of space to gather for meals and for movies at night. The outdoor shower was great for washing off sandy children (and adults!) before heading into the house for the evening. There were ample beach chairs and even bicycles that we used.
The front deck offered amazing views of the marsh, Southport, and the Oak Island Lighthouse. The back covered deck was a great space for coffee in the morning and family board games in the evening. The view of Bald Head Island and "Old Baldy" was delightful! Our family agreed, we will return!

Loved the house; it was perfect for our family of 5 adults and 2 children (8 and almost 5 year olds). Fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds, living room with games and toys for the kids. The oceanfront deck was a favorite place. Manager was always available to answer questions and help. Loved Caswell Beach!!

The house was perfect for our immediate family with a great uncrowded area of eastern crescent beach. Very clean, plenty of beach amenities, and easy access to the beach. It was Memorial Day weekend, but the beach was almost to ourselves.

Amazing house, great beach location
Our family has been going to the beach for years and this by far was the cleanest most organized, nicely furnished, custom designer touches. Comfortable beds, great linens, nice large 75 inch screen TV in the common area and tv’s in bedrooms and good internet and cell phone coverage. Outstanding views, with great porches and lovely furnishings, a well equipped kitchen, new grill, beach chairs, games and bikes and, baby equipment. Every detail was considered. It was close to charming Southport with shops and restaurants. Can’t say enough good things.

Amazing GraySEA is accurate
There really isnt much I can add to the previous reveiw, other than to validate what was said. Great location, great house, great property manager (Nancy), very well equipped, etc...Plus a deck on each side of the house with lounge areas and dining tables was great to sit based upon the wind direction.
We like to cook and the kitchen was the best equipped I have ever seen at a vacation rental. The only possible suggestion would be a few more plates but with that said, still enough for a large seating.
Nancy was very engaged and quick to respond with any questions.
I never write reviews but this house and our experience is deserving!

One of the most gorgeous homes on Caswell Beach, Oak Island, NC
I don't usually gush about vrbo properties, but I've been visiting Oak Island for 20 years, and Amazing GraySea is truly a gem! The property is located centrally on Caswell Beach, steps away from the lighthouse, a hop away from OKI golf club and Duffers pub. The home has beautiful views of the ocean and sound. Most importantly, it's a few steps over the dune to the beach, sand, waves, fun, ....
The house is very spacious, aesthetically pleasing, clean, organised, and thoughtfully stocked to host a large group or family (we had three adults and three kids). We really enjoyed the multiple comfy zones to congregate indoors and outdoors while we took in the scenery.
The kitchen is well-designed and stocked with all the necessities for cooking up a storm (just bring food or stop by Haag & Sons for the fresh catch :). The kitchen island and dining room have lots of space to seat a large contingent for meals. There are also two massive dining tables outdoors (so in-laws can eat separately;).
The bedrooms are genuinely welcoming with high-quality bedding, comfy mattresses, seating, dressers, TVs, and closets. Every bedroom has private toilets with two shared jack'n'jill showers (which wasn't a problem despite our avid bathing). Two ocean facing and two sound facing rooms are great for at least three couples. The fourth room has two bunk beds, which the kids loved (there were even remote-controlled night-lights on beds).
Last but not least, a very cozy oversized sectional sofa was invaluable for cuddling/watching movies and sports on a huge smart TV (with all manner of streaming services). There's also a cupboard full of activities, games, cards, toys, and various goodies.
Nancy was highly responsive and available to address all questions, and the owner was warm and welcoming (thank you for sharing this gem with us🙏🏼).
We are all missing Amazing GraySea and can't wait to be back soon!
