About this house rental

Lincoln Park is one of the most coveted areas to live or stay in Chicago. DePaul University is less than a block away. Lincoln Park Zoo, the Lakefront, Second City, Park West are a few of the places just within a mile.
Within walking distance you will find coffee shops, grocers, fine, casual and specialty dining, bars, boutiques ,salons, spas, and yoga/workout studios.
You'll find everything you need in our casual, cozy digs.....but, the adventures of the city are just a quick Uber away!

When you walk in on the first floor level, the hallway to the 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths are in front of you. To your right is the the view of the living room, kitchen and half bath. The first bedroom has a King sized bed, TV, twin bunk beds, and a large closet. The second bedroom has a Queen sized bed and a closet. Across the hall from those bedrooms is a bathroom with a large glass enclosed shower. The third bedroom has a Queen sized bed and a large walk in closet, plus it's own full bathroom with a shallow tub/shower.
The stairs will then take you to the street level living space which features a 20 plus foot vaulted ceiling with original brickwork (1939). It is an open concept kitchen/dining/living room. The living room has a couch and chair and cozy rug for viewing the TV. The dining room has seating for 8. The kitchen is well stocked, and equipped, and has a huge pantry for extra storage. Past the kitchen is the half bath and a door that leads to a laundry room. The washer and dryer are for your use, however it is a space that is shared with our two wonderful neighbors.

If booking is cancelled after 24 hours of booking, we will keep 3% of the payment due to charges acquired by issuing the refund.

Great place to stay, absolutely nothing to complain about. Great layout, well stocked on everything. Some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on in a Vrbo rental. Lots of great places to eat within walking distance of the house. Awesome neighborhood Would definitely stay here again

We were traveling with two of our adult children. This home with three bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths worked very well for us. Short walk to train stations for getting around Chicago area and walking distance to some nearby restaurants. Easy check in and check out process.

Loved our stay at The Village Inn. Very comfortable and quiet. A beautiful neighborhood in Lincoln Parl. Communication was great. Very clean and there were no disappointments with the furnishings. Loved the gesture of providing us with overnight parking stickers!!

This very comfortable rental is in the heart of Lincoln Park, close to zoo & lakefront & numerous shops, eateries & cafes. Our most enjoyable times were spent walking the beautiful neighborhoods or sitting on our stoop, watching the world go by. A truly great Chicago experience!

This home is located on a beautiful street with plenty of shops and public transportation in walking distance. Unfortunately, the outdoor space was unusable due to moldy furniture that was covered in animal droppings. The interior is decorated with quirky furnishings and was plenty large enough to accommodate seven adults comfortably. The place was damp (dehumidifier needed) and not thoroughly clean upon our arrival. Additionally, the shower fixture in the main bedroom bathroom was broken. Overall, the location and space are great, but the home needs some love, cleaning and better lighting.

Julie, Thank you for a wonderful space in a great neighborhood in Chicago for us to gather for the weekend! We got to experience the best of what Chicago offers - a White Sox game, a Bears (preseason) game, Pequod's, and a great, quiet neighborhood that allowed us to walk to great places! The VRBO itself was clean, true to the pictures online, and communication with the host was easy and reliable. We felt safe and secure in the place and had a good time coming together there. Thank you for everything! I'll have this at the top of my list to return to in the future!

We were a little worried about finding a place close to everything but the Village Inn was way beyond our expectations. The property was fantastic and everyone in our group was very comfortable - from teenage daughter thru early 20’s sons and my wife and I. Located close to everything - very up best and cool area! We are already looking for other Dakota Gals properties to rent in other cool areas! Blown away on how amazing this rental was!

Six college friends had our annual girls trip/a bachelorette party here and it was great! We had four people stay in one bedroom (bunkbeds and a kind bed with two people in it) and then one in each of the queen bedrooms. The house is cute and functional for six adults to spread out to visit and get ready. The kitchen was well equipped, and sound didn't carry too much, especially with the sound machines in all the rooms - the bedrooms are upstairs and the living area and kitchen are downstairs so those that got up early were able to visit without waking up anyone else. Loved it, thank you!

Had a wonderful time staying at the Village Inn recently with some friends from the college days meeting up in Chicago to catch-up and enjoy the St. Paddy's festivities! The place was exactly as pictured, easy to check-in and the owner was very responsive to any questions we had. Would recommend to any group looking for a great place to stay in Chicago!

We stayed at The Village Inn over the Christmas holidays and it was perfect! I had inquired if the home would have decor for the holidays and while this was not typically included Julie added some lovely holiday decor. As well the home was warm and welcoming with welcome treats for adults and kids alike. We did have one minor issue when a fuse blew and we could not find the fuse box. Julie had left her number, promptly picked up the call and helped us immediately. Julie was an amazing host and the home is fabulous. I highly recommend the Village Inn for adults and families! We hope to stay there again!

Location location location!!! This beautiful rental is walkable to shops, parks, and restaurants. The decor was beautiful and our entire group can’t stalk talking about our fantastic weekend. Staying at ‘The Village Inn’ was awesome! The location was perfect for what my group wanted/needed. It was in a safe neighborhood with walkable restaurant/coffee/shops. Also it was only a short ride to the downtown area which was great! I Would highly recommend to others and I would stay here again if I am to travel to Chicago again.

The property was perfect for our 25th anniversary weekend. Perfect space for 3 couples. Found parking easily on the street in front of the unit. The kitchen had everything we needed, including bar ware. Beds were comfortable and the living room/kitchen area was perfect for hanging out. Perfect family getaway

The Village Inn provided an ideal place for our family with 3 young adult children to have a long weekend getaway. The Village Inn is a smart, cozy, comfortable townhouse on a gorgeous residential street. Everything is clean, functioning, and comfortable, and the vibe is very stylish. The kitchen is well-appointed, the bathrooms are nice, the TV is easy to operate, and it was just a lovely place to spend the weekend. Had the weather been a little warmer we would have made use of the cute back porch/patio. Julie, the host, was very responsive and helpful in planning our trip. Arrival and departure were very easy. We will gladly stay at the Village Inn or another of Julie's properties in the future!
