This luxury property is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom condominium and is a second floor unit with a lanai. This particular unit is located onthe exterior loop of The Plantation at Princeville and overlooks greenery and has a very small ocean view. The condo is fully equipped to serve all of your living needs! We recently purchased the condo and during this year we will be putting in new furnishings and making cosmetic updates (the existing furnishings are all still very nice). Overall, the condo is in great condition and will is equipped with new linens, bedding, and other supplies! The living area includes a fully equipped kitchen, which can accommodate the best of chef's, a dining room table that will accommodate four and an eat-in kitchen with bar stools that can accommodate an additional four guests (currently three seats at the bar). The living area has a comfortable couch that you can sink into and a coffee table to prop up your feet at the end of a long day. The main living area has air conditioning but honestly we prefer to turn on the ceiling fans and open all of the windows and take in the trade winds Hawaii is so famous for. Our condo has local phone service, basic cable television, Wi-Fi, high speed internet (we cannot guarantee connection as we are at the mercy of our internet provider, but the connection has been great thus far). You will also have the use of the garage and one parking space just outside the garage. Recreation
Where do I start, there are so many wonderful things to do while on Kauai’s north shore. I have named a few of our favorite things to do below:
Beaches - we absolutely love Hanalei Bay for the surfing and boogie boarding! Anini beach is fun for shell searching, we usually take the hiking trail (access near the Westin in Princeville). The hike is a bit steep at times so if you are not up for that you can always drive. Tunnels beach is in Ha'ena near the end of the road and is a 20 minute drive, this beach has great snorkeling and has a great view of Bali Hai. Hideway’s beach is also wonderful and is located about a mile away from the house, parking is limited, and there is a hike involved but once there you will enjoy this small secluded spot. Hiking - we love the Napali coast hike (Hanakapiai Falls), Stone Damn (Kilauea), Ho'opi'i Falls (Kapaa), Queens Bath (closed during winter months due to dangerous conditions), and Sleeping Giant (West of Wailua). For Napali Coast, you will find the trailhead at the end of the Kuhio highway (hwy 56) in Ha'ena state park (reservations required). Golf - Princeville is home to the Prince course and also the Makai golf club (across the street from The Plantation). Spa - spa treatments are plentiful at the Westin and 1 Hanalei Bay Resort (currently closed), both located within one mile of the plantation. Other - you may also consider a helicopter tour, boat tour, snorkeling tour, scuba diving, biking, horseback riding or renting a kayak/stand up paddle board. Our favorite excursion has been a small power boat or catamaran all day snorkel tour of the Na'pali Coast. Another fun excursion is tubing the irrigation tunnels through Kauai Backcountry Adventures!
Restaurants (our favorites):
Hanalei Bread Company (Hanalei) - Great for breakfast, lunch and people watching
Pat's Tacos (food truck at Hanalei Bay)
Anatta's Thai (food truck Kapaa & Lihue location)
Fresh Bite (Hanalei - love the chicken sandwich but everything is great, food truck best for lunch)
Bubba's Burgers (Kapaa/Poipu) - Best for lunch….yummy
Barracuda (Hanalei) – Good date night option, tapas-style
Hukilau Lanai (Kapaa - reservations for very nice dinner)
Oasis (Kapaa - reservations for very nice dinner)
Beach House (Poipu - recommend reservations)
Wishing Well Shave Ice (Hanalei) - Sweet treat!
Pink's Ice Cream (Hanalei) - yummy locally made ice cream!
Java Kai - a great spot to grab and sip your morning coffee and bagel sandwich or afternoon tea.
Grocery Shopping:
Costco- we also like to cook at home so we always stock up on essentials upon arrival. The Kauai
Costco is about 10 minutes from the Lihue airport in the opposite direction so we usually stop in on our way to the condo after landing at the airport. Foodland - located in the Princeville shopping center, approximately one mile from the condo, you can pick up grocery items for your stay. Lappert's ice cream - grab yourself a sweet treat or treat the kids. Lappert's is located in the Princeville shopping center.
The Dolphin fish market (Hanalei) - great fresh fish, poke and suchi (also have a restaurant).

We hit a few hiccups from the start and the owner was very responsive.
This condo is a true 3 bedroom unit with 3 separate bathrooms and a very open kitchen living room area. Plenty of TVs, good appliances and nice terrace to enjoy a morning coffee or evening drink.
The community pool, hot tub area is great to unwind at the end of the day. The gym is a bit outdated. The location is excellent as you can walk to Princeville and is a short drive to Hanalei and most hot spots of the north shores. The condos
The floors beds and bathrooms were clean upon arrival but there was big piles of dust on the AC vents, knives display, behind the beds and above door frames. It looks like the AC filter hadn't been changed in years.
The AC was remotely adjusted by the owner and it did a good job but it looks like the control panel is defective. The main blind strings in the living room were not working so it has to be pulled manually.
Beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, umbrella and boards are kindly provided but again half was defective.
The overall impression is that a good inspection and check up would be beneficial.
The master bedroom bed was very soft.
On our last day the cleaning lady was extremely rude to us refusing to repark her car 30ft away so that we could close the garage where we were storing our belongings for a few hours.
We had a truly great vacation as a whole family of 6, great snorkeling spots nearby I highly recommend island helicopters and Captain J's napali boat tours.

We loved this place. The beds and rooms were very comfortable. The balcony was so nice to hang out on during sunset and sunrise. The location was perfect. The owners were very gracious and responsive to our needs. I would definitely recommend this place.
