About this house rental
The Corner House is a family and dog-friendly, 3 bedroom cabin in the Lake Forest Neighborhood! Just 1.5 miles north of Tahoe City along the awesome bike path. This cabin's driveway and the whole neighborhood's roads are flat for easy winter access and enjoyable summer biking and walking. Stroll to SugarPine Cakery for a coffee and tasty treats and then pick between Skylandia Beach, Lake Forest Beach, or the Bristlecone Dog Beach all within a few easy blocks' walk!
The space
The great room is a cozy retreat for the whole family to enjoy lounging, cooking, and dining all together!! This room includes updated furnishings, a flat-screen smart TV with streaming capabilities (no cable/ satellite provided), a gas stove, and a small desk for those needing to work remotely. On the main floor, there are two queen bedrooms, adjacent to the hallway bathroom and laundry area. This hallway bathroom was just remodeled October 2020 and is absolutely stunning!! The third bedroom is located in the loft, which features two double beds, a small TV, and small sink. The backyard offers a private area to hang out and BBQ.
Pet friendly to dogs only! Pet fee $100 + tax
PLEASE NOTE: This home may be equipped with outdoor surveillance cameras and electric bear fencing that are utilized for security and bear activity in the area. These cameras in no way infringe upon guests' privacy, and monitor exterior portions of the home exclusively. Decks and BBQ grills may NOT be available during winter months, exterior areas may be icy. This home is not equipped with AC. Per Placer County Short term rental laws, quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am, and no street parking is permitted at any time, including boats and trailers. We recommend purchasing 3rd party trip insurance if you have concerns about canceling your reservation.
Wells and Bennett will be charging separately a $500 down payment at time of booking to hold your reservation that will go towards your final balance.
Cancellation Policy / Cancellation fee: If cancellation is made more than 60 days of arrival, a cancellation fee of $100 plus the 4% booking fee will be applied.
If the cancellation is made within 60 (or less) days of arrival, the entire rent will be retained unless Wells and Bennett Realtors is able to re-rent the specified property.
If the property is re-rented, a cancellation fee of $100 plus the 4% booking fee will still apply, but the remainder of rent will be refunded after the replacement guests have checked out.

CHRISTMAS - Check-In must be by December 20th, 21st, or 22nd. There is a 5 to 7 night minimum stay required. (Must check out by December 28th at latest, to allow 7 days for a New Years Reservation.)**No Check-Ins or Check-Outs on December 24th or 25th
NEW YEARS - Check-In must be on December 27, 28, or 29. There is a 7 night minimum stay required. **No Check-Ins or Check-Outs on December 31st or January 1st

We were very pleased with the cabin and location for our week in Tahoe this summer. Even with the lake being so high there was plenty of beach for our family and dog and as usual, Tahoe didn’t disappoint. The cabin was very clean and worked out great for our family and dog. Highly recommend it.

We had such a lovely weekend in Tahoe. House was clean, well organized and a perfect location. Great dog beach only a few blocks away and the café mention in the suggestion book had delicious treats. We'd stay here again and will suggest to friends looking for a house near the lake.

Loved the location . Cozy comfy and enjoyable to stay at this home. Easy walk to lake and Skylandia park. Shopping was close also .

We were two teens, a toddler, two grandparents, and a mom. The house was roomy enough to accommodate us all comfortably. Well equipped kitchen. Short walk to the lake. We had a grand time playing board games. This was as well managed as any vacation rental I've ever stayed at.

We had a good experience staying at the house. The only issue we had was that washer machine handle was broken. And we couldn’t open. I contact the management and he answered me. He told me that they were not able to send someone the late on Friday night. But someone was going to come on Saturday. Nobody show up !!!!I waited

This cozy, nicely appointed cabin was perfect for our family trip to Tahoe. It's close to Alpine (Palisades Tahoe) as
well as all of the restaurants and shops in Tahoe City and other surrounding areas. The location is very close to Bristlecone dog beach, which our dog loved. I highly recommend this charming cabin for your next trip to Tahoe.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Corner Cabin. The cabin was clean and welcoming. The location is ideal being just a few blocks to the beach! I loved the convenience of that and being just outside the crowded area of Tahoe City, but close enough to walk or ride bikes. My family and I would definitely stay here again!

Adequate property premium fees
Great location, excessive fees more than doubled the advertised price. Kitchen could be stocked better (more dish towels at a minimum) and the upstairs was unusable during our stay (one of the hottest weeks of the year) due to heat.
Booking processes involved repeated emails with reminders that didn't necessarily apply to the property such as references to hot tubs, and repeated indications that guests should bring supplies (such as toilet paper) that were actually provided by the property.
Overall this place is fine, but if you're going to stay, stay long enough to spread out the fees. At the price we paid, I can't recommend it.
