Location was fantastic. Having a bit of pretty, relaxing outdoor personal space was nice, in a city that isn't very green in the centre. the bed was very comfortable. Able to come and go very easily. Is a lovely haven in the city centre, when being out and about, you can pop back easily, refresh, and go out again. Great supermarket down some steps near Mc Donalds. Parking spot was worth booking and we were grateful for. Loads of character and design. Good for the younger couples. Air-con worked and was quiet.
We were plagued by mozzies, that's no ones fault but it kept us up each night and we were covered in bites after 3 nights, so be prepared for that as we weren't! It is an amazing use of space, but tricky with all the stairs to navigate, so you need to be a bit nimble. Some bits need some attention: The ceiling of the hot tub, and floor of the bathroom need some TLC.

The room was beautiful and spacious. The stairs up were a challenge at first but I got used to them. The building was very quiet. Only some street noise which is to be expected being in the city centre.
Just needed more coffee (smile). I wouldn't recommend this place to seniors due to the stairs.

The location was brilliant, the staff friendly and helpful. It was a fun little room to stay in.

Nice central location. Quiet during evening hours despite being close to many bars and restaurants. The outdoor space was lovely and I'm sure would be great to relax in during nice weather. Great whirlpool bath.
It would have been nice to have a light to the deck when returning home after dark. Maybe we just didn't see it but use our phone flashlight. Both my husband and I on separate occasions smashed our finger in the front door.

I loved the location and convenience to local transportation and good restaurants.
Our room was not clean. I complained, giving a couple of examples, like a dirty entrance way and a dead fly on the jacuzzi. They fixed those 2 things, but did not sweep the floors (let alone mop). We couldn't walk around in bare feet. The tray with the cups on it still had crumbs from the last person and even a feather and a hair!! We sent an e-mail to complain and asked for a significant discount -- no response -- we were ignored. The room was not conveniently appointed, however, the lack of cleanliness is our main complaint. We can put up with a lot if the room is spotlessly clean!

the location was great so central
the apartment was really cool, the setup really felt like a personal space cozy!
great that it had a tv, coffee machine. the bath room and bedroom were really spacious!
- No key at checkin: we did a self check in and there was no key at the entrance that we could use to lock our room.
- The room was not really clean (bedsheets looked used; they were stained and wrinkled; hair on the floor)
- there was so much storage space, an iron and board would have been a great addition

Location. Comfy beds. Windows that open. Quiet. Excellent restaurant and coffee shop nearby.
A light switch inside the bathroom would have been convenient, especially at night.

The location is perfect and the facility is very well maintained and clean. It had everything we'd need for a weekend stay.

We LOVED it here. The jacuzzi was amazing, so was the bed! The staff showed us to our room, she was really lovely. It is within walking distance from everything and there are a lot of restaurants around.
The only (little) thing was that there were some loose tiles in the bathroom and it wasn't fully clean (around the bed on both sides and underneath the bed). The jacuzzi was also a little bit dirty. But it wasn't a problem at all for us at all.

very good location, very friendly travel agent staff member.
We were in a room called Congo, where the photos of colonial life are inappropriate . The room was on first floor, noisy room above. Need proper curtains rather than flimsy window covers.

A great location, centrally placed, everything is walkable from here. The owner was so helpful and friendly and we had no complaints.
Nothing to moan about.

Good location.
Suite was dirty. Fridge was uncleared with last persons food still in it. Outside area very neglected.
We almost walked out actually but Ghent was full. It was kind of surreal as the owners were so lovely and yet presented their clients with a room in this state.

The room was very nice, interesting decoration each room has a theme and ours was called the Sultan's room so had an Indian style to it, I didn't much like the paintings they were a bit strange for a hotel room but overall nice room. I really like that the room had shutters on the windows so it would keep insects etc out, also there was aircon which you need in summer as its very warm. The bed was a decent size and they have a smart tv. The location was amazing, it was so close to the center like 5 minute walk or less however very quiet because of the shutters, and it's down a side street. There is a very sweet garden in the back you are allowed to sit and eat or drink.
There was a constant noise in our room I think it was the hot water pipes or something similar which was very annoying we thought it may have been the fridge, but when we unplugged it the noise continued. It was white noise so some people wouldn't mind, I am just particularly sensitive. The other thing that annoyed us was the bed was two single mattresses pushed together so there was a gap, I would recommend the hotel gets a thin foldable mattress to put on top so that there is no slit in the bed. Also the under bed could do with a vacuum.

It was in a great location. There was lots of space in our room and pretty much everything we required was there.
There were lots of narrow steps up to the room, but that wasn't really a problem for us. It would have been difficult for someone with a mobility problem.
3.0
Great location, easy to get to all of the sights in the city. Large room, the bed was ok, a firm mattress. Own toilet and shower in the room.
The room wasn't ready when we arrived, we were 'told' to go out and they would do it. We went out for about 2 hours and it still hadn't been done as they couldn't get hold of the cleaner to come back and do it, so we had to go out again for another 1.5 hours. The room wasn't 'made up' daily, we had to ask for more coffee, it would have been nice if these things had been done.

A lovely old oroperty. The owner kindly let us use his private secure parking which we needed as we were driving through with a full car.
4.5
It was a super place to stay, very nice people, safe, and convenient. Nice that they had a parking option.
The bed could have been bigger, but it was big enough. There are many stairs but that wasn't a problem for us.

We were greeted by Jerome (sorry can't spell the Flemish version) who gave such brilliant suggestions! We really loved just getting lost in the streets and finding undiscovered pleasures. Dinner recommendations were excellent!!
Not a fault at all as it is all down to design; the staircase to the rooms are a bit precarious.
