The Owl’s Nest is cozy with many thoughtful details by the owners that make us feel welcome. So many things to do and the owners provide just about everything. We kayak, swim, paddle, hike, fish, shop. On a rainy day, there are plenty of books and puzzles to choose from. The lake is spectacular and only a few steps away.

This is an absolutely beautiful property. Our family of 4 had a gorgeous week here. We’ve stayed in other places where the property description seemed “too good to be true” and it was…that’s not the case here! Everything is as wonderful (more wonderful, even!) as advertised. The owners have thoughtfully provided everything needed for a true escape. Stay all week and never leave, or explore the area, either way you can’t go wrong. Well-organized and thorough binder includes all the info you need. Irina even sent information ahead of time which was great, as we didn’t need to spend precious time when we arrived, tired after a day of traveling, figuring out what to do and where to eat. The swimming, boating, and hiking could not be beat. We had a great stay and there is really no way to go wrong as a guest here! Even the kitchen knives are sharp! :)

The best thing I can say about Owl's Nest is that we stayed there last year, again this year, and when we come back we will hope to stay there again. The house couldn't be better and the location is idyllic. And on top of that Irina is just the best.

It was relaxing very comfortable. clean my family also thought it's a beautiful place. The only thing i would suggest it putting in darker curtains in the bedroom downstairs, and there a bee hives in the tree out of the first-floor bedroom, halfway up its white face hornets very nasty. but other than that, it was a beautiful place we enjoy very much. It was definitely all we needed that week! The water was warm and we swam numerous times each day, even one evening! We explored in the kayaks, friends came and caught fish off the dock, found the passage over to Pemiquid Pond kayaking, read 2 books and even found creative time to paint & sketch! Thank you, Irina & Vincent for sharing your wonderful spot! We will most definitely be back!

Our second year in a row at this beautiful house. We spent many hours boating, paddleboarding and swimming in the lake. The house had everything we needed - well stocked kitchen, books, games and cozy blankets for chilly evenings. We are already dreaming about our visit next year!

My little family was very happy to return to the Owl’s Nest for another restful week. The house is always in great condition and is comfortable and well equipped for everything we need. We lucked out with weather and spent most of our time swimming just off the rocks and taking turns on the kayaks and paddle boards. We can’t wait to return again sometime soon.

This was our second stay at Owl's Nest, a beautiful setting on a lake perfect for kayaking, swimming and fishing. The house is extremely comfortable, private, and had everything we could possibly need. It is close to many attractions but very tempting just to stay and relax. Thank you Irina and Vincent for all the extra little touches and making us feel so welcome!

Our wonderful hosts’ tastefully appointed home is flooded with light. It offered serene lake views from every room. Loons and ospreys frequent the water. We enjoyed them from: inside; the dock; and the thoughtfully provided kayaks. Damariscotta provided a food market, shops and riverfront dining- all within minutes. On the damp days, the region offered alternatives like the Maritime Museum in Bath or the thunder of waves crashing at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. We will return!

This was our second time at Owls Nest. It is a fabulous house, extremely well managed by the owners. Special touches everywhere. We kayaked, hiked, took boat tours and just did nothing. It was marvelous.

Wonderful stay again this year at Owls Nest. Love the location on the pond, perfect for sculling. Beautiful home and so well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. And truly love midcoast Maine with the ocean, rivers, lakes, and family that live nearby. Loved our stay! Thank you!

Ideally situated on a commanding promontory along serene Biscay Pond, Owl’s Nest is the perfect launching point for all that Maine has to offer: swimming, kayaking, fishing, and hiking, as well as shopping and dining in charming Damariscotta only 5 minutes away. The beautiful and well-appointed house is very spacious and comfortable, and the property offers plenty of privacy and space for outdoor activities or relaxation. We especially enjoyed the dock, raft, and paddle boards. The owners were extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. We hope to come back next summer!

We had a great vacation at Own's Nest, the home was spacious and immaculate and included everything we needed both indoors and outdoors. Very comfortable for active and quiet times, great views of the lake and wildlife. The guest book of info on the area and activities was very helpful. Thanks Irina and Vincent for creating a spectacular experience. Look forward to returning next year.

I don’t want to rave too much about the Owl’s Nest because I don’t want it to be too booked that we don’t get to stay there again soon! However, this home was perfect for our family and we had a spectacular week.
Thank you to Irina and Vincent who thought of everything to make our stay super comfortable.
The location is very convenient and the lake is beautiful. We spent many hours paddling on the paddle boards and kayaks and enjoyed seeing bald eagles and loons from the deck.
We love exploring this area and the Owl’s Nest is a perfect home base. We will definitely be returning!

This was our second stay at the Owl’s Nest and it was perfect as always. The house is in amazing shape and the owners take extra care to listen to all suggestions to make it welcoming to all kinds of guests. They even left a stuffed owl as a welcome gift for our daughter! Our 3 year old daughter loved the little sandy shoreline and the house is situated perfectly to catch afternoon breezes to keep the bugs and heat away. We can’t wait to come back again!

Fantastic vacation, beautiful home, amazing location
Irina and Vincent welcomed my family of four with a bottle of wine and jar of Maine blueberry jam! They work hard to make sure guests enjoy their stay. The home is clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped and has many pantry items which we really appreciated. We do a lot of cooking and the kitchen had everything we needed, including a lobster pot and grilling tools (and a gas grill!)The beds and furniture are cozy and comfortable. The linens and towels provided were much appreciated. Everything was very clean and organized! There are several sitting areas both inside and outside, which means there's a place to read. watch TV or sit on the porch and enjoy the quiet of Biscay Pond. We had lunch at the picnic table in the yard, drank our morning coffee on the front deck and browsed the extensive book collection to learn more about Maine. The owners have a variety of books for folks of all ages, games, puzzles, binoculars, even a basket of cozy socks to wear in the house! Biscay Pond is ideal for swimming, kayaking and fishing. We did all three everyday. The two kayaks and two paddleboards were used everyday. We also enjoyed floating in the water using the "noodles". Having these items at the house made our stay even more amazing and convenient. There are plenty of day trips nearby: the Pemaquid Lighthouse, several hiking trails and small Maine towns. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Owl's Nest. Thank you very much, Irina and Vincent, for making our vacation fabulous!

Owl’s Nest
The house was very comfortable and even better than the photos. It was immaculate and equipped with everything we could possibly need. By far the best vacation place we have ever stayed in. The host was very welcoming and answered any questions we had immediately.

A lovely retreat!
My husband, 17 year old son and I just spent a restful week at the Owl’s Nest and it was all that we had hoped. Both the interior and exterior living spaces were immaculate and the linens provided were luxurious. The entire back of the house is comprised of windows and sliding doors which make you feel like you’re outside even when you’re inside, with stunning views of the water, cranes and loons (it is also a great place to watch a lightning storm at night!). The hosts responded to all inquiries almost immediately and also left a thoughtful welcome gift for us upon our arrival. I highly recommend this property!

Aquatic Bliss
Owl’s Nest is sited at one end of a 3 mile pond that offers outstanding views of open water, uncluttered shoreline with homes tucked behind trees, and an array of loons, heron, osprey and ducks flying and swimming by. The hosts offer a warm, enthused and informative welcome to their well kept and tastefully decorated home. The only challenge is in deciding each morning whether one should venture out onto the water in one of the provided kayaks, visit one of the many scenic spots or restaurants nearby, or simply brew a cup and enjoy the view.

Beautiful Winter Escape
Owl’s Nest was a great place to relax and have fun for our winter getaway. We enjoyed playing games by the fireplace and loved warming our toes with the fuzzy socks left for guests’ use! We also appreciated the well-stocked pantry and kitchen supplies. The view from every bedroom was superb in the mornings. We loved watching the local ice fishermen from the window while sipping hot coffee from the warmth of our home. We brought our ice skates and spent hours skating and exploring the lake. We got to chat with the ice fishermen while watching bald eagles swooping and soaring throughout the day. We especially enjoyed the ocean views at the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse and snowshoeing on several trails and parks nearby. Thanks Irina for the great stay and we can’t wait to come back, maybe this summer but definitely next winter!

Beautiful Property and Beautiful Views
My small family had a lovely stay at the Owl's Nest this fall. The property is very updated with everything that you could need for a comfortable stay. The hosts are lovely and even put their xmas tree up early because they thought our two-year-old daughter would enjoy it! We can't wait to come back during all times of the year.

Fall in Maine
We spent a wonderful week in early October at the Owls nest. Irini, the owner, was excellent to work with all the way from booking to sending updates regarding arrival instructions. She provided an extensive list of restaurant recommendations and suggestions for many local activities. She was very responsive to all my questions both prior to our arrival and during our stay.
We loved the beautiful house. The view of Biscay Pond is just spectacular. Early morning Kayak rides (2 included with the rental), were so serene and peaceful. The house was well appointed with a fully stocked kitchen for cooking and eating in. We used the cozy fireplace each morning to enjoy our coffee and set plans for the day’s activities. An outdoor gathering around the firepit was a great way to end our day. The beds and linens were of high quality and quite comfortable.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Damariscotta area. The town is quaint with many local shops and restaurants. King Eiders Pub, Schooner Landing, The River Grill, Glidden Point Oysters and Shaws Fish and Lobster Warf were just a few of the wonderful food offerings we enjoyed. Damariscotta is also in close proximity to many other towns to visit. We enjoyed Camden, Wiscasset. Booth Bay Harbor and Belfast.
We want to thank the Cases for sharing their lovely home with us. I highly recommend the Owls Nest to anyone looking for a relaxing get-away in an awesome location.

The kayaks were really fun as there are 2 islands you can paddle out to. We also rented another kayak and a paddle board so everyone could go out together.
