Beautiful property in the woods. Plenty of space for the dogs to run and play. This cabin will provide you with an “wow” factor.
Just make sure you grab your supplies before getting in. You’ll want to be on the front porch most of the day.
Would return in a heartbeat.

This property is by far the most beautiful “cabin” we’ve ever stayed at in many years. Attention to detail is simply over-the-top. Sally is so communicative and if we had any questions she always replied immediately. We cannot say enough about it and its beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Will definitely return! I wish I could add photos as the rental photos do not do it justice.

Wonderful private retreat in the woods with open area with ponds and fishing. Owners had excellent communication and were very accommodating!

We was in town for a dog event, great stay, very accommodating, clean house. Couldn’t ask for a better place.

If looking for a place to get away from everything this is your place. Super clean and great host.

I was extremely pleased with everything during my stay. This cabin is a gem. The first thing you see coming in is the fire pit and covered porch. Firewood is stacked and waiting. Yes, coffee on the porch watching the rain! The beautiful kitchen has everything you need. Sally provides blankets and food and water bowls for the pets. And that bathroom and shower! I was impressed with the over all cleanliness of the cabin. This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. Sally is very responsive with any questions or needs. Do not think twice about making a reservation.

Beautiful. Peaceful. Isolated. We love it. Its great for some quality down time. Relaxing and fun. Walked around the woods a little. Fished the ponds. We love that we can bring our dogs too. Second trip for us, there will definitely be more trips.

The cabin is cozy, plenty of space for my husband and I and our dog (who loved the fact that the floors are all not carpeted so that her ball could bounce every time she dropped it) private, homey, great shower, the flowers and ponds are gorgeous. The fire pit area is a great touch. All in all a nice place to spend the week.

Everything about our stay was perfect. I can't say enough good things. Communication with owner was great. The cabin was clean and spacious and well equipped. The location was amazing (pictures do not do it justice). We enjoyed hiking, fishing, picking wild flowers, the fire pit. Kids found lizards and frogs and crickets.
I wish I had found this place earlier so I could have scheduled it for longer.

Very nice clean comfortable spacious cabin. The property is beautiful and secluded.

This cabin was so nice and had everything you'd need. With ample sleeping for 4 adults 3 kids and a baby. We had such a great experience on the property with the trails, picking flowers, and just being able to have a relaxing getaway.
The owner was in constant contact, so if we needed anything or had any questions it was taken care of. I highly recommend this cabin, and we plan on coming back in the future.

We loved our stay! My boyfriend and I brought our two dogs. Sally was kind enough to provide dog blankets, dog bowls and towels for our pups. It made it easy for us to settle in to the gorgeous updated cabin that has all of the cooking and grilling utensils you could need. We had several nights of rain/ storms during our stay, and we enjoyed the comfortable beds, couches, and smart TVs. The covered porch also made it easy to grill out every night, and enjoy many meals out there.
We enjoy fishing, so we spent a lot of time at the catch and release ponds. The fish were biting! Lots of fun!
We went in July; so there were fields of beautiful ‘U-Pick’ Flowers that Sally set me up to pick and take home.
We enjoyed just walking around the huge property and through the trails most days but the property is close to towns with restaurants, and many attractions to explore. We recommend Ferne Clyffe Sate Park!
I can’t say enough good things about the owner. she was quick to respond to every question and super thoughtful when it came to our dogs!
I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

My friends and I planned this trip as a retreat. A way to get away from the city. We wanted to disconnect and get trip this trip as a retreat.
We were a little hesitant, but quickly felt welcomed and had the best time.
This had everything we needed and more. The cabin was supplied with items that one might have forgotten to bring on a trip. We took a trip to Walmart prior, but turns out we were overly prepared.
Sally was very welcoming and accommodating as well. We got to cut flowers and enjoy the catch and release fishing! The cabin felt modern and cozy, with an amazing view into nature.
We enjoyed this place so much. Would recommend to anyone.

I cannot say enough positive things about the property. A luxury cabin feel. Property was super clean, beautiful and stocked with anything you may need. Sally was always in communication making sure everything was ok and answering questions. I hate cooking but actually enjoyed it there because of the nice pots and pans, appliances and openness of the kitchen. The place was super quiet and peaceful. Comfy beds and pillows. Great location in the middle of everything. Sally even provided firewood and makeup wipes!!! It is the little things that count. Make this a must if staying in that area. You won’t be disappointed.

This was the best getaway we have ever been on we enjoyed everything about it. Sally is the most helpful and nicest person. I asked her a million questions and she always was right back with a answer. Super easy check in and out. Bed was comfy and towels were so soft. That SHOWER was amazing. Everything you need is right there for cooking and fire pit and grill. It was all just awesome and sooooo clean love the cleanliness of the
whole place. Sally really does a great job of making you pampered to ladies she has make up wipes, make up towels and bath and body works soap!!! We loved everything about this place and had the most Amazing time we have had in years. We will for sure be going back soon. Highly recommend!!!

This rental is by far the most well-appointed place we’ve stayed in over our 20-year experience.
It is an ideal set-up for two families and can easily sleep 15 people but was also cozy for just the two of us.
The place was not only clean, it FELT super clean. We didn’t feel like we had to wipe it down before we settled in. The kitchen had EVERYTHING anyone would need. (We’ve learned to bring some items with us because places don’t have what we need: measuring cups, cloth napkins, food storage containers, ice maker, etc.)
The open layout means you could have tons of people in the kitchen and living space comfortably with a similar set up outside around the fire pit. (10 around the kitchen table easily, plus four at the kids table, six in the living room). A covered front porch let’s you enjoy the acreage in the shade and sheltered from the rain.
The bathroom is awesome. Two families could be hard pressed to share one bathroom but it is spacious with two sinks and a spacious shower with a marvelous rain shower.
The mattress is the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on in a rental.
Lastly, the front, covered patio and fire pit area let’s you enjoy the stars and quiet of southern Illinois—even if it’s raining.
The location puts you a stone’s throw away from great Shawnee National Forest sites and within 30 minutes from Marion if you need bigger stores or restaurant options.
We will definitely be back.

Perfect little cabin in the middle of the woods with plenty of space inside. Everything was clean with plenty of towels, blankets, cookware, and firewood.

This is a perfect place to get away and enjoy nature is a very clean, and spacious cabin. My wife and I travel to Southern Illinois to visit some of our children from time to time. This Christmas 2022 there's too many people to invade their home. So, I found this when searching and I believe that we'll be making this our place to come to. It's only six miles from the kids.
Perfect place with all the amenities of a B & B.

What a delight! Tucked deep in the woods, this may not look like a cabin or a farmhouse from the outside, but step inside and you will feel the warmth of a cabin and the charm of a modern farmhouse. The great room has soaring wood planed ceilings and beautifully finished concrete floor, plenty of room for a large family to gather around the wood burning fireplace or to cook together in the well stocked kitchen. If the weather permits the family time can spill over to the outdoors around the fire pit and grill area.
The bedrooms are large and full of comfortable beds, eight total, dressed with crisp hotel sheets, fluffy pillows, and cozy cabin blankets. The bathroom is stunning, with a luxurious walk in shower, double vanity, and fluffy hotel towels. You can pack light because this cabin includes a full size washer and dryer.
For the little ones, and the young at heart, there are games inside and acres of woods to explore outside. This place is designed for together time.
Best of all is the setting, with quiet woods surround on all sides. Complete privacy and quiet, you will naturally lower the volume of your voice and your thoughts. A true retreat from one’s day to day responsibilities.
Our host communicated all we needed to know before, during, and at the end of the stay; she was available if we needed anything, which we didn’t. This rental property is thoughtfully designed to make you feel at home.

The house was so clean and getting checked in was easy. The property was beautiful and tranquil. I've been to rentals where owners insist everything you need is in the house, but it's never been truer here. It did have everything we needed and it was all well cared for. The beds were super comfortable and there were plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets. We used the fire pit every night and they had plenty of wood ready for us. The location is great because it's central to a lot of the parks, so we were able to go east one day and west the next. We have already talked about returning for another trip in the future.

This property is simply magical. I visited to celebrate my birthday with some friends. We are rock climbers and wanted to be close to Jackson Falls and the Holy Boulders. This location certainly provided proximity and great opportunities for connecting with the Shawnee Forest. The cabin is perfectly maintained with SUPER comfy beds, a spacious common area, and everything you could need for a fun retreat. The host is also incredibly kind and responsive. 12/10. I can't wait to visit again!

This is a wonderful vacation spot for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy some nature just outside your door. The cabin is finished very nicely with a mix of modern and rustic with large windows to take in great wooded views. There is ample room to sleep a large group. The bathroom has great finishes and is large and luxurious. The living and dining area is great for entertaining and daily living. The outdoors here steals the show. Multiple ponds are beautiful and being located at a flower farm that is a majestic area to relax and enjoy. It was late April so not too many flowers had bloomed yet but there were still quite a few daffodils. Sally picked some for us to have during our visit. A fantastic souvenir. If you want to stay connected we still had 5g service, Wi-Fi, and multiple tvs. The fire pit was a nice relaxing feature and the kids enjoyed getting to make s’mores. Overall a fantastic vacation spot. Its close to Shawnee Forrest, southern illinois wine trails, Paducah, Kentucky and Marion, Illinois.

What a wonderful experience we had at this rental. The property is extremely clean; kitchen fully stocked for all our cooking needs; beds were super comfortable; and the rain shower was a pure delight. We enjoyed cooking s’mores in the fire pit. We were thrilled to be able to have our dog enjoy our hiking adventure in Shawnee Forest with us and the host kindly provided dog blankets and towels to keep the house clean. We loved enjoying our coffee in the morning listening and to the birds in the woods and the nearby farm animals; the property hosts 2 lovely ponds, an orchard and fields just waiting to burst with flowers. Sally was very easy to communicate with; responded quickly to my questions and Leo provided suggestions for local events. We hope to return to enjoy the flowers in the summer
