We had a perfect stay at Jessie’s. The house is very comfortable, neat, and very well stocked with everything you’d need. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. The highlight are the gorgeous direct ocean views! Jessie was great to communicate with and super helpful. Thanks!

Wonderful place to stay. Our grandsons enjoyed the kayaks. Easy walking distance to restaurants, museum, bike rental, bakery, causeway. Short drive to Acadia National Park.

Four adults (mom/dad/2 grown kids) and one 13 yo. This place has everything a family could want. Bar Harbor close, went in every day. Hiking, biking, and highest level climbing available (right up road in SWH or BH area, u pick). Bonus two kayaks used daily. Can walk/bike to SWH (easily). Separate apartment above garage is nice for privacy if needed, plenty of sleeping room. Fire pit overlooking harbor out back (front ?!?!). Jessie is great to work with. Will definitely return!

None of us had been to Acadia, and this house was perfect for 2 50-something’s and 3 20-something’s. Plenty of space, abundant supplies (toilet paper, towels, kitchen-wares, even extra toiletries), beautiful sunsets and water access, and walk-ability to a small town. It’s especially great if you don’t want to stay in Bar Harbor. We spent most evenings by the fire pit, and cooled off in the brisk harbor after our hikes. The owner was responsive before and during our stay, and we could not have hoped for a better house for our group. Thanks Jessie!!

Tucked away in a quiet area. Within walking distance to restaurants and small downtown of Southwest Harbor. Loved our stay.

This is our family’s second time at Jesse’s rental. The addition of the heat pumps was appreciated in the humid weather. Fast communication was good throughout. We had an urgent need and the solution appeared at the door within minutes. Walking to area restaurants. Great harbor front location. Kayaks to use. Washer/dryer. We hope to return next summer.

Waterfront gem
Great rental. Location was an easy walk to restaurants and shops in town as well as to Beals and Little Fern. Very quiet. The apartment over the garage was key to our stay. Master bed was comfortable.

A perfect place for us to enjoy Acadia
This house couldn't have been more perfect for us. We loved the privacy of the attached apartment for our daughter, son-in-law and their 10 month old baby. The house is as well equipped as any I have ever experienced in a vacation rental and the kayaks and canoe are a wonderful addition. The peaceful harbor view is stunning and we enjoyed fresh pastries from the neighboring, roadside kiosk (a local catering company) on the deck with our coffee every morning! We could walk into town within minutes and enjoy several purveyors of lobster and our favorite restaurant - Red Sky.
On our last day, we all discussed returning next year - clearly a reflection of how great a place this is.

Wonderful stay on the quiet side of MDI
We enjoyed a super relaxing week in Southwest Harbor. The property was great - location fantastic, easy walking distance to SW Harbor with a great patio overlooking the harbor where we spent every evening. The fire pit, canoe, and water access were great. The house was well stocked and served us and our young daughter quite well. My mother used the attached apartment for a couple of nights, which also worked out great. Host was wonderful about providing tips on activities for our family as well. Highly recommended for a stay on the quiet side of MDI!

SIMPLY AMAZING
I welcome the opportunity to share our almost perfect experience because it was wonderful.
the location is right on the Harbor and it is beautiful. Different sunrises every day and even though the sunsets in the west, it still illuminates the eastern skyline with a lovely pink. We are from Florida and use to tidal changes but were amazed at how significant they are in Maine. The outdoor area has a couch, two love seats, coffee table, firepit and adirondack chairs. We pretty much lived outside every days except one, because it rained. We just loved it.
The property basically has two separate living quarters, which worked out great for us as we had an Uncle with us who stayed in the upstairs apartment and he had the best view to be sure. The house and apartment offer very comfortable beds, pillows and nice quality linens and towels. You want for nothing in the kitchen as it is equipped very well.
The property is perfectly located and we could walk to a variety of restaurants. The Claremont is just down the street and it's a pricey restaurant but so worth it! Even if you don't eat there, make sure you visit. It's a beautiful property. But there are several other restaurants within walking distance just down Clark. Eat A Pita was one of our favorites and the Hearth and Harbor has AMAZING wood fired oven. So good.
We hiked two days in Acadia, spent a day in Bar Harbor and rented bikes, and went sailing out of Northeast Harbor. Oh, the property also has a canoe and two sea kayaks but we never had the time to take advantage of them.
The only negative was the TV situation. There is only one and it's very dated and small. We don't watch much TV when we are traveling but we do enjoy keeping up on the news. There was one day it rained and wished we could just stay inside and watch some movies but it's pretty silly. I did mention it to the owners and they assured me they are getting a better TV. So if that's important, be sure to check before you book, especially if you have children accompanying you.
Overall this is one of our most favorite spots (and we travel a lot). The location might give you pause when you arrive, but remember it's a fishing community. We absolutely enjoyed it and will be sharing this little gem with our friends too.

Best Harbor View Possible
We have stayed in SW Harbor many times, but always in local B&Bs. We booked 7 Ships Lane to bring my in-laws and my wife’s sister and her friend. The house was fabulous for three couples and is spectacularly situated in the harbor. The views from the patio are sensational. There are two levels on the lawn with adirondack chairs perfect for a couple to watch the tide change while enjoying a beverage of choice. The house is well equipped and Julie was incredibly welcoming and willing to help us in any way. Easy walk to dinner in town or a little longer distance to two places for a great lobster feed. You will be blown away by the views, Quintessential Maine! We can’t wait to go back.
