The cottage was lovely, with everything we needed for our stay. Easy to collect the keys. The shower cubical was a good size and the beds were really comfortable, we were grateful for the throws in the living room come evening. The location was great, but by bus, it was more than a 'couple of houses down', press for the next stop as you pass the pub. Saying the cottage is right by the pub (or has a seat outside) would make it much easier to find. It's a small village and isn't a negative thing. We weren't disturbed by any noise.
The buses back and forth to Hebden Bridge are 2 an hour and run quite late into the night, the drivers were friendly and gave advice on which tickets were best for our stay and its worth noting the bus stop is right outside the rail stn up to Heptonstall. The tea rooms are shut on Tuesdays, same with the pub next door (for food) the local post office has a few basics foodwise (open 9-5pm Mon-Sat), but you'd be best to get main shopping in Hebden before travelling up to Heptonstall (Co-op is nearest with a bus stop just outside) there was a Market at Hebden Bridge on Thursday. Heptonstall is small, but there was so much to explore with fantastic views down the vallys and buildings from a by-gone era around every corner. The local residents are so friendly and helpful (from helping with cases and locating the cottage to giving impromptu history lessons) worth also noting the flags (pavement) are really slippy after rain but the cobbled road is fine! You can hear vehicles approaching so its safe enough to walk in the road. We'd not hesitate to rebook to return.
I had difficulties with the spiral staircase, but that was a 'me' thing as i am mobility restricted. The stairs also made it hard for getting cases upstairs, but there was plenty of room under the stairs to store them.

A lovely cottage in a friendly and picturesque village.

Hosts very welcoming. Location excellent. Comfortable. Beautiful and historic village.

Really bi e place, lovely Cobblestone streets! House was amazing the only thing that let it down at all was the parking situation and the bus that runs down the road every hour from early hours. Couldn't fault the accommodation at all. Extremely clean and comfortable. Shower didn't have much pressure but it works. Really nice little place and great value for money
As mentioned before parking is a bit of a pain, the road is very narrow also so if you bump heads with another car it's hard to pass. There seems to be a local bus that runs every hour or so from early hours and I'm a light sleeper so it woke me nearly every time. That's not fault of the landlords though. The closest place to park is down a very tight lane down the road and trekking our luggage up hill took some effort

it’s cute
the shower could be a bit more powerful
4.6
location and especially that it was dog free
noisy early morning due to traffic

Comfortable, cosy and clean. Great facilities. Parking close by
Traffic quite close to the property could be noisy on the cobbled streets.

Lovely little cottage, very warm and comfy, everything you need was there.
Host was exceptionally helpful to us about arrival circumstances.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful area, clean and well kept, great communication with host.
Shower head is too heavy for fixings making it difficult to use.
4.6
Cozy cottage in a friendly little village. Loved it didnt want to leave. Everything to hand in the cottage. Parking two mins down the road down a small lane just past the pubs . Both pubs made you feel like a local spot on.
Staircase a bit precarious for older people. Dropping the luggage off a bit of a nightmare as on a main road but just parked a bit higher up and walked down so not too bad.
4.6
Heating off on arrival, very cold and damp. Insufficient bedding, very tight spiral staircase, stuck back door, top fell off tap in bathroom, radiator in bathrooom not attached to wall properly, no instructions for heating. Very odd sheet explaining how to score the property well. Booked for 2 nights, left after 1.

Loved the location, how quiet it was, how spacious the cottage is, loved the artificial vines on the ceiling, the beds were comfy and everything was clean.
could’ve been a bit warmer on the first day but the cottage just needed to heat up a bit so after we figured that out it was fine

complimentary biscuits left for arrival. Right next door to our favourite pub
We stay in Heptonstall often, we had to book this trip very late and this was a property that we hadn't used before. Very, very dated and needs a complete refurbishment in my opinion. It was a cheap stay but not so cheerful. Left after one night instead of the two we had booked.

beautifully clean & warm, has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable home from home stay, the host Aneika was really nice, would most definitely recommend and return again.

location was awesome! joined to the local pub - what more can you ask for!
lacking a couple of extra towels
4.6
The cottage was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our week away. There are two nice pubs locally, one immediately next door - both serve good food but check websites for opening times. There's also a fabulous little cafe just down the hill, serving great food and superb home made cakes!
Because the cottage is right on the road up through Heptonstall it's difficult to stop the car to unload/load anything. There are certainly various places to park locally so this isn't a major problem if you're happy to walk a short distance.

Fabulous location, spotlessly clean, very handy for local pubs and small community shop. Access to Hebden bridge and the surrounding area easy by car, great walking but very hilly so you need to be fit!

the bathroom - the shower really needs upgrading

Location in Heptonstall was excellent
The stairs in the cottage and the shower.
Unfortunately although not your fault the traffic due to road works was constant passing the cottage

very clean and welcoming
character and location

Lovely little cottage. Very clean and comfortable and next door to a quiet pub.
It was all good.
4.6
Perfect in every way for what we needed - cute and characterful terraced cottage over 3 floors in the centre of Heptonstall. The second bedroom is on a separate attic floor so it felt like there was plenty of room and privacy if like us there are 2 separate occupants. Very clean and the keybox made checking in and out easy at whatever time we wanted to arrive. Be sure to visit the Towngate tearoom a few doors down!! - great cakes and more. Also a couple of nice quiet pubs on the same street.
Everything was fine!!
