In addition to kayaks, you are just minutes from hiking, mountain biking, and golf. Bring your boat- we have a launch ramp in the neighborhood and mooring cleats on our dock. You can rent a pontoon boat, receive 10% discount and tie up to our dock! Ask me for details. Bring your fishing rods as there are plenty of fish waiting just for you! If you love to cook and grill (we do!), you will have a fully stocked kitchen as well as a grill and griddle. Relax in the evening after a fun day in the rec room with a pool table and 72” TV or by the firepit. No cold showers at Lakewood Shores- we have a tankless water heater. The private and spectacular views are year-round as the lake levels never go down. There was plenty of room for our family to stay while we prepared for my daughter's wedding. I would recommend for family gathering.

We enjoyed our stay. The home had several bedrooms so everyone got their own. The kitchen was well stocked and the griddle was a bonus on the porch outside. The pool table was also a hit in the basement. The dock was where we spent most of our time, and the kayaks and the fishing net were a big hit. Communication with the owner was amazing, she answered all of our questions and in a timely manner, which was wonderful. My son loved the cat that hung around outside, but unfortunately, I am allergic and he tried to come in the house every time we would open the door, and my dogs did not the cat, So it became a little bit of an issue. Also, the dock was a struggle as far as tying up. Due to all the traffic that passes in front of the house, And the differing water levels during our weekend stay, our boat got beat up quite a bit. We had rubber bumpers that were crushed, and the rubber that was on the side of the dock didn’t help much so we have several damaged areas that will need repair. Definitely do not recommend bringing your own boat unless the boatlift.is available.

We could not have asked for a better time. We got to meet the owners when we got there and they were so nice! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We had so much fun enjoying the lake and our time together. Definitely will stay again.

We stayed here as the base for our visit to the 2024 US Open at Pinehurst. About an hour from the course but a much more reasonable price compared to Pinehurst area. A jump in the lake was just the thing to cool down and rinse off the dust coating us from a long hot day at the Open. The game room was the perfect cool place to watch more coverage on the big screen. Overall a really good stay.

This home has all the essentials and a wonderful view. Tucked away on the lake with expansive views of the lake and morrow mountains. Yet private for a lake home. We will definitely be back!

Clean, comfortable, quiet. Pool table was a great addition to the stay but could use some updating. Views of the water were beautiful! Not for anyone who has issues with stairs! Close proximity to restaurants, gas and supplies. Likely to stay again? 5/5!

Our family gathered here over Christmas time as we came from different locations from around US and found the lake house to be the perfect location to spend quality time together. The host even had a little Christmas tree set up as well, that was sweet! Sleeping options were plentiful and very comfortable! Kitchen well appointed with almost everything you need, even to prepare holiday meals! Right outside of kitchen door on deck was a grill and griddle which was super convenient. Plenty of chairs/table on the spacious deck to enjoy the beautiful lake views. From the pool table, games stocked in cabinet, kayaks and fire pit we had plenty to do. Entire family agreed that this was the perfect location to enjoy having fun with the family and relaxing on this serene lake in the evenings. Bonus was being able to bring our dog who had a great time as well!

The house was beautiful, comfortable and everything you could need at home was thought of. The layout and sleeping arrangements were well thought out for a family or group to stay. We loved it kids loved the dock, kayaks and fishing, we loved we went to grocery and everything else we needed was there. Our only downfall was no tvs in the bedrooms that was a big deal for the kids but we survived and loved our stay.

My family stayed in this home for our annual family vacation. We always look for a home with water. The house is very well kept and had plenty of rooms, beds, and seating for all of us. We spent a lot of time on the porch, as it rained for most of our stay. The extra life jackets, and party float in the boat house were a really nice “extra” for our experience! I would highly recommend this property!

Wonderful. Sweet little gifts left for us. The house was clean and had everything we needed and more. We had to reschedule our stay at the last minute due to a family emergency and host was so accommodating. My husband left his new pair of boots and she kindly mailed them to us. Can’t say enough about this rental. Also loved the option of separate a/c units upstairs and down! That way I didn’t have to freeze everyone in the house out!

My family and I rented this for our annual Memorial Day vacation. The house was clean and spacious. The owner was great to work with and responded very quickly. It was nice having a fully stocked kitchen and starter supplies in the bathrooms. Even though it rained most of the weekend, we enjoyed fishing from the dock, hanging out in the game room, and playing the variety of board games. It definitely made our list of places to visit again.

The house is situated perfectly on the lake to enjoy sunsets on the back deck. The dock was great. We enjoyed the kayaks as well as being able to dock the rental boat during our stay. Everything was well stocked and clean. We had enough space to really spread out as a family of 4 with our pup. We loved being close to the state park but had lots to do without leaving the house. This definitely felt like a home away from home instead of a boring show home with no personality. You could feel the happiness from all the memories made in that house! Hopefully we can stay again some time soon.

This was an amazing stay! The house was clean and inviting. They had everything you needed and everything you wanted. You were far enough from town to view the stars (with a telescope in the basement), but close enough to Albemarle to go to restaurants and bars! Our dog Charlie was welcome, and our 5yo loved the board games and puzzles. You are right on the lake, we were able to fish, and sit by the lake sipping morning tea. Accidentally locked ourselves out of the house and the owners were very nice and got us back in as quickly as possible. Will absolutely stay again!

Our stay was great, and the host had everything we needed for our Thanksgiving dinner! The house was clean and there are plenty of beds! My grandson and I even caught lots of fish thanks to a stop at Joe’s Tackle Shop for bait. Would definitely stay again!!

The view of the lake was awesome. House has three floors. Plenty of room for family and beds! The wrap around porch on 3 floors lead to a two tier dock. Gorgeous full access of water. Quiet. Lots of hills. Lots of area to walk on gravel roads.

When I was at my most desperate Elesia was tremendous in helping us salvage our son's wedding weekend. After arriving in the pitch black dark and waking up the next morning to actually see to beauty of this property, I was blown away with it's spaciousness and calmness. Driftwood was the best pick for our family. The description was just as listed. We were very pleased with the amenities available within the home and on the dock. Stocked supplies were available if needed as well. There is plenty of room to play the board games they have if needed on a rainy day. They have a variety of books to enjoy on rainy days or while soaking up the sun! We throughly enjoyed having our boat docked just right outside as well. We look forward to possibly spending a longer visit here in the future!
