We are happy to share our family and pet friendly home with fellow lake lovers! Sunset Paradise is a family friendly waterfront property that sleeps 18! This property is perfect for all ages! Featuring a lake front home with multi-level decks, Jacuzzi hot tub for 6-8, parking for six cars, a double boat house with, sun deck, deep water that provides lake and sunset views, a 20' water trampoline, kayaks, and a large backyard with a fire pit for cozy evenings. We want your stay to be as easy as possible; quality linens and towels are provided at no additional charge. Pets. We love traveling with our dogs and we are happy to offer a pet friendly vacation rental. Sunset Paradise allows 3 pre-approved dogs for the $200 pet fee. Additional dogs must be pre-approved and a $100 per dog fee added. All animals must be flea/tick free and pre-approved.

Sunset Paradise is a clean, comfortable, well maintained 7 bedroom house on an easy to navigate flat lot with a boardwalk all the way to the lake. It has a reverse floor plan to enjoy views from multi-level decks. Contactless entry by accessing the front door key with a lock box code with the added convenience of a keypad door entry with individual code. No picking up or returning keys!
Enter into the foyer on the lower level, where you will find helpful information about the house and surrounding area. This is where you will get your first water view. There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on this lower level as well as an additional bedroom/sleeping space (with a door for privacy and closet) set up with a queen size sleeper couch and 2 single size sleeper chairs. This space has ample room for an additional air mattress if needed. The three lake facing bedrooms have sliding doors to easily access the deck. From the lower entry level, you can access the conditioned garage/game room where you will find the game tables! Shuffleboard, Skee-Ball, and Ping Pong - tournament anyone? Conditioning this space allows for comfortable year round use. Lower level amenities include an additional refrigerator, a new washer/dryer (Oct 2022) and stand alone ice machine- never run out of ice!! This floor also features two full bathrooms on opposite sides of the house.
The upper level is set up with an open floor plan, excellent for entertaining large groups, open from the kitchen & dining area to the living room. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishware, silverware, microwave, toaster, 12 cup coffee maker & Keurig, oven/stove top, refrigerator, dishwasher and more. There is an additional full size refrigerator in the garage and a 100lb ice maker. The dining room opens to the kitchen and living room, comfortably seats ten (included high chair makes eleven!); an additional table is in the rec room adjacent to the dining room that seats six more. The open floor plan and a wall of windows which floods the common living area with natural light for hanging out, playing games, watching the new 65" smart TV, relaxing, or dining. The 2021 kitchen remodel brightens up meal time with white cabinets, an island that seats 4 and is adjacent to the dining room with seating for 10. The kid’s room has 5 full sized beds, a kid sized sofa, smart TV, books, games, puzzles and room to play! On the deck you will find three patio tables that seat six per table and a propane grill. The living room features a large vaulted ceiling with two fans, Smart TV with satellite to stream tv and movies, large comfortable sectional, and amazing views from the wall of windows. On the upper level you will find the primary bedroom with a king bed, plenty of storage, and ensuite bathroom with shower and soaking jacuzzi tub. On the opposite side of the main floor is the kid’s room/rec room. This room features 5 full sized beds, a second living area with couches, HD TV, arcade game, DVD player, board games, children’s toys and more. This floor also includes a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer.
When not on the lake, there are a multitude of activities to keep everyone busy! Sunset Paradise has a spacious lawn with a horseshoe pit and guest favorite - a fire pit with ample seating. Don’t miss a sunrise or sunset from the upper deck of the boat house. Enjoy Mother Nature’s show with your favorite beverage and relax the day - or evening- away. The outside spaces all have furniture made from recycled bottles! Boat house rooftop is outfitted with Polywood lounger chairs and a picnic table with chairs, the firepit has Adirondack style chairs and wooden benches, the upper deck has a conversation table and chairs as well as THREE picnic tables for guests to enjoy. Our newest addition to the Sunset Paradise line up of FUN- a new Jacuzzi hot tub with seating for 6-8 people.
The house features two new HVAC systems one for each floor that does a great job keeping the house at the right temperature for all guests. Each floor has its own individual thermostat. The extra wide driveway has enough room for parking and if you need extra space for boats/trailers just two lots down is the gated neighborhood boat ramp and storage area which guests are welcome to use.
Additionally, the property is located on a main lake cove, there are NO bridges/tunnels/culverts to go under with your boat! Or rent the Sunset Paradise 24’ Party Barge (Sun Tracker Pontoon boat with 90 hp four stroke)
Sunset Paradise is conveniently located to restaurants, shopping, marinas and more. Just a ten minute drive to the Food Lion grocery store, restaurants and more.

A great deal of thought went into equipping this home, from the fully stocked kitchen, to the paddle boards, kayaks and boats. The contact people, Nicole and Mike, were pleasant and very responsive to any questions. Excellent experience.

Sunset Paradise is a terrific place for a summer vacation. There were fourteen of us and every person said they had a great time. Suset Paradise, besides having beautiful sunsets, has just about everything you could ask for being comfortable and having fun. The swimming was great and there was plenty of entertaining equipment around the boathouse. Favorites were the water trampoline and the water boards. Also the pontoon boat. We enjoyed fires in the fire pit at night and many enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi. The owners responded promptly whenever we had anything that needed fixing. I highly recommend Sunset Paradise for a splendid vacation.

This home was an ideal fit for our family. Days were spent lakeside, with the top deck of the dock being a favorite spot, and the kids thoroughly enjoying the trampoline. Evenings were cherished on the expansive seating of the top deck, soaking in breathtaking sunsets. The communication with the property manager was exceptional throughout our reservation process and entire stay. Since it's near mile marker 1, we enjoyed a quieter part of the lake. Few low boat traffic all week long, which was great for wakeboarding, tubing, kayaking, etc. I enthusiastically recommend this home if it aligns with your family's requirements.

Home was clean and well stocked with everything needed. Water trampoline was a big hit with the kids, as were the games in the garage. Baby gates on the main level (inside) and both house decks made it easy to relax with a toddler and pet. Highly recommend.

I hosted my yearly Easter family reunion at this wonderful home. Nicole supplies all the necessary items for a most comfortable stay!
The kid’s LOVED the game room, their private dormitory, the giant lake trampoline, the pac man arcade and room to run!

The property had everything we needed for my parents, siblings and our kids to come visit with Family! The house fit everyone comfortably, had everything we needed to keep us entertained with games, outside attractions and plenty of fishing. we loved the big kitchen for meals at home! The only time we had to leave was to go to the grocery store which is conveniently close for the area. We will definitely be back!

This is our second year coming and we love it more each time! This time in addition to the continued amazing views were the unexplored amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, and the weather was great so we could sit out and enjoy the sun a little afterwards on the top deck of the dock space. They had great kitchenware for all the meals we prepared, lots of items to use. And the space offered privacy while also being close enough to a few stores we could get some spare items we forgot. It is very spacious and with the group we took, we had more than enough beds for afternoon naps. The little touches such as labeling where all the items were made this trip even better than last year. We look forward to coming back again year after year!

2024 . The owners are so sweet thay are very accommodating as we had to make changes at last Minute. And they work with us. We highly recommended this home it has ever thing you need to be away from home .

This place is amazing. This is our second year at this property and it is awesome. The house is clean, well put together and the owners are super nice people. This vacation at Sunset Paradise was one of the best family vacations we have taken. The house and property location was magnificent! Everyone just loved floating and playing in the lake right in front of the house in a beautiful secluded cove. The paddle boards and kayaks were extensively used. We enjoyed the pontoon boat rental as well for sightseeing the lake. The house was perfect for our large family with a well stocked kitchen, game room and large areas to spread out. The owners were amazing to work with and such a pleasure to speak to. There was not one negative to mention and we will definitely book this house again in the future!

If I had it to do over, I wouldn't change a thing! Location is terrific, kid and pet friendly, all the toys you need on site, fire pit and wood right there, huge hot tub, and all the amenities you would expect and more inside the house. Our group of 9 adults and 4 children rated the experience as terrific and we made wonderful memories we'll cherish forever.

My husband recently retired and we moved back to NC. We have 1 daughter in Virginia and 3 daughters in North Carolina so this was the perfect location and perfect house for our family. Nicole and her team have thought of everything to meet our needs and make us feel welcome and comfortable during our visit. There was plenty of space indoors and we have never stayed at a house that was so well equipped with every necessity. The outdoors was a blast and our weather was just about perfect so we certainly enjoyed all the water activities throughout the days and the fire pit every evening. Best of all, after 45 years of working my husband was able to go throw his fishing line in the water multiple times every day whenever he wanted. This house could not have worked out better and Nicole was terrific to work with.

Our family of 16 people enjoyed the most memorable vacation at Sunset Paradise. This was the first time our entire family has been together in a year and a half.
Sunset Paradise's accomodations we perfect! We had 8 children all under the age of 12. The loved the kid room over the garage. Each bed had it's own light and tray for devices, books, etc... All were the same so there was no fighting. The large couch converted into a mat which was perfect for the girls to show us their latest gynmasic moves. Us older kids had more fun playing pacman and madden on the gaming system. We had two days of rain but that did not interfere with the fun. We enjoyed movies, games, craft time, the hot tub and fishing off the dock. We caught some good size bass too! All of the bedrooms had comfortable bedding and pillows. All adults agreed the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with nice, new equipment. (We cooked 3 meals a day for 16 people so all of the kitchen tools were being used.) The outdoor setting was beautiful. We used the fire pit all day long and through the night on our first and last days of the vacation. There was plenty of wood available. The kids loved the water trampoline! The kayaks and SUP boards were a hit with the adults and oldest cousin. We really can not say enough good about the property!! Our plan is to come back the same time next year.

Had a lot of fun, definitely plenty of activities for adults and children to do to keep entertained, just a little bit of a drive to a grocery store and a minor issue with the hot tub needing some attention, but other than that it was a great place to stay.

The perfect getaway!! If you are looking for water front luxury with plenty of space this is the place. Myself and 8 of my friends come to Sunset Paradise twice a year and absolutely love it. The home has everything you could need for an amazing get away!!

What a great experience we had! We had our entire family together at thanksgiving and the entire experience from registration to checkout was great. All cousins loved piling into the bonus room with the 5 double beds. The owners are very responsive (had hot tub issue), kitchen was well stocked, loved the 2 washer/dryers, pool/ping pong tables were great and enjoyed great conversation by the fire. One of the best houses that we have ever stayed in!

The house was clean, lovely and sleeps lots of people. The kitchen is well equipped. The house has so much fun included...lake swimming, boat rental option, paddle boards, kayaks, trampoline and a hot tub! The game room and garage add even more options to your entertaining options, pac man, pool, ping pong...
The extra fridge in the basement and the ice maker were super helpful for our early Thanksgiving gathering. the owners were very responsive and helpful.

Great Sunset property

Wonderful Views and Lots of Space
We were pleasantly surprised with the wonderful lake views and ample space in this home... the pictures do not do it justice. The home was very clean when we arrived, although it would have been nice to have the front light on and the heat turned up a little for a warmer welcome (not a big deal). We only needed 2 bedrooms, but there were plenty more if needed. The firepit, sundeck, kayaks, and big back yard were are great outdoor perks. The kids room, with its many books and games, was a nice indoor bonus. We enjoyed our time here, and would definitely book here again for a lakeside retreat; but we would suggest the following upgrades to take this home truly over the top: 1) replace the cool white bulbs with warm white - no one feels welcomed by sterile, office lighting; 2) find a way to fix the creeky floors - guests easily wake each other by simply walking around; 3) provide propane for the gas grill, wood for the fire pit, coffee pods, paper towels, and garbage bags - these are minimal expenses that provide a lot of convenience for guests; and 4) try to find a way to bump up the internet speed if possible - with a lot of guests using the connection, it can quickly get overwhelmed. That said, we think this is a fantastic lake home, and we look forward to returning again soon.

PERFECT house for family and friends
We had the pleasure of staying at this property for a long MLK weekend with 4 couples and 11 children ages 6 and under. The house was PERFECT for all of us and we can't wait to do it again next year. They thought of everything when it comes to organization and supplies and was a dream for occupying so many children with ease! Highly recommend for extended families and friends.

Great lake vacay
We loved our stay on the lake. There was more than enough room for 4 adults, 6 kids and 2 dogs. The dock was so fun. We used everything...kayaks, paddleboards, trampoline, pool table, ping pong and firepit. The house is very well set up for lots of people to have their own space. We will for sure be back, but will remember to bring more things for the kitchen...like salt and pepper and spices. Thank you for sharing your home with us...we would for sure recommend this to others.

Well stocked house
We finally stayed in a house that has a well stocked kitchen, with sharp knives! The neighborhood was great, the view was awesome! We had rented the boat for the week and everyone enjoyed going out several times a day! Great location for children too.

Fun Vacation
The property is exactly as described. It was clean and well supplied when we arrived. The beds are comfortable. We have children between the ages of 11-24 and a 2 year-old grandchild, and all were very happy with everything provided.

For years we would rent a house at the beach then our Daughter-in-law suggested trying Lake Gaston last year. This is our second year and it couldn't be more perfect. The house is wonderful with many thing included to make it the best, most relaxing vacation. The owner, John Muse is so accommodating and nice. This will be our summer vacation spot for years to come!

Fantastic house with an unbeatable location
We loved our stay at the house! Our boys jumped off the deck hundreds of times throughout our stay. We all enjoyed the amenities kayaks, paddle boards, hammock, pool table and fire pit! We caught a 30lb catfish and loved seeing the giant turtle each morning. We really loved that we basically had our own private cove. It was great for the kids to go off on their own adventure without being out of sight. The house was clean, comfortable and fully stocked with everything we needed for the week. The lake house can easily sleep 3 families. The beds and linens were quality and very comfy! Great communication with the owner - we plan to come back with a bigger group in the future.
