About this house rental
Casa Sea Esta is a wonderful home for groups up to seven guests with its open floor plan, huge outdoor covered living space, wonderful ocean views, large private swimming pool, all nestled near the Costa Rican jungle.
The well-equipped kitchen provides most everything that is needed to prepare your own meals. However, if you'd prefer someone else to prepare your meals for you, simply ask Osa Property Management for our Private Chef recommendations and pricing.
Osa Property Management’s Concierge and Vacation Planner team will contact you after you have made your reservation. We will assist with making any necessary transportation arrangements from Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose (SJO), or one of the local regional airports. Palmar Sur is closest (~30 minutes) and has one flight per day in/out of San Jose, while Quepos is approximately 45 minutes from Ojochal and has multiple flights per day on either Sansa Airlines or private charters. We will arrange all excursions/activities/tours with reputable companies in the area, provide a link for grocery delivery, and make reservations at any restaurant. Our goal is to make your trip to Costa Rica enjoyable and as relaxing as you want it to be.
Guests will meet with an Osa Property Management representative at check-in and at check-out.
Osa Property Management / Costa Rica Las Villas representatives will be available from 8 am - 8 pm during your stay.
Casa Sea Esta is located on a breezy hilltop in Phase 10 of Ojochal. Guests about 10 minutes from grocery stores and restaurants. Guests are 15 minutes from two amazing beaches: Playa Ventanas and Playa Tortuga.
Guests will meet with an Osa Property Management Representative for check-in.
The home is in a gated community and Guests will receive the access codes on the day of check-in.
Check-in must be completed by 8:30 pm.
In special circumstances, and confirmed in advance, check-in can be completed by 10 pm, but there will be an additional charge of $75 due at the time of check-in.
The property is a private home with no shared spaces.
Guests will have the exclusive use of the property and the private swimming pool.
A 4x4 vehicle is required to access Casa Sea Esta. No exceptions.
Ojochal does not have UBER and private taxis are not always available.
Please contact Osa Property Management if you would like to secure private transportation during your time at this wonderful property, and/or transportation to/from San Jose International Airport (or any other airport).

Guests in The Owner's Suite and Bedroom #2 have access to the patio and swimming pool area from their bedroom. Bedroom #3 has a set of bunk beds that can hold up to three people.
The Pacific Ocean views and the swimming pool are clearly seen from the kitchen and the patio and the Owner's Suite and Bedroom #2.
Pak-n'Play or Baby Travel Bed can be rented for an additional $50 USD (plus VAT) fee and must be requested at least 48 hours in advance
For those that enjoy grilling, there is a propane fueled grill on the covered patio, along with an outdoor sink and preparation area.
Every vacation rental managed by Osa Property Management will have the following provided:

Guests will spend most of their time outside on the comfortable outdoor furniture on the covered deck/patio area. Regardless of the weather, guests will enjoy the views and the sounds that the Southern Pacific region provides.
The swimming pool is comfortable and the perfect size for adults and for children. There is an outdoor shower near the pool to rinse off in and a 1/2 bathroom.

Stay was great and villa was clean, inviting and well situated. Beautiful sunset views. Only issue to raise was with the gated security access which hopefully can be resolved for future guests by the estate management team… Despite this issue I would go back and recommend this villa without hesitation.

We give just a mediocre valuation because we experienced a mixture of good and bad experiences. We were confronted with a lot of technical problems that could only partly solved.
The good side: Our contact person, Steven, turned out to be very ambitious and helped us quickly as soon as he could. For example he replaced a completely rotten coffee maker by a new one. He also cared for two non functioning bedside lamps and for several other lamps and fans that could not be switched on.
The bad side: There were several structural problems far beyond Stevenˋs possibilities. Just some examples: We had a stereo system that gave absolutely no sound and a TV with no pictures nor sound. A technician told us that it was not connected, neither to the internet nor to an antenna. What did thy do about that? Nothing! The terrace door could not be locked, because the lock was broken. What did they do?Again: nothing! Many times Steven gave us advices, one day later OSA office contacted us to tell us exactly the opposite. To us it seems like the right hand in this company does not know what the left does.
Conclusion: The prices of OSA are top level, their service is not!

Our family stayed for a month and loved it! The house is really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The pool was perfect for our 8 and 10 year old...they took their first swim around 6am and last swim around 8pm every night! Also, Christine and Tom (the property managers) are absolutely outstanding. This is a great home, I highly recommend it!

The property is surrounded by forest and has a beautiful view of the ocean. We awoke each morning to the sound of howler monkeys, and each evening the songs of toucans, Montezuma oropendolas, and other birds filled the air.
Tom and Christine of Jaguar Property Management were very helpful and responsive from the first time we contacted them through our final checkout. (Thank you!)
We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Pura Vida!
The only item to note is that the toilet in the master bedroom is not really "en suite", but "in suite"; meaning, there is no door.

It’s a beautiful house in the quaint town of Ojochal!!! The house itself is well equipped for a family to move-in with their luggage to have a home away from home!! The hosts Tom and Christine are the best that comes in this industry. Even though we reached a little beyond the specified timing of 8pm they greeted us personally and extended the same courtesy when we had a few bumps before settling in for the 4 weeks. We will do the same property again in future when better and safer times prevail. The town itself has a quite a few selection of restaurants that cater to the varied tourists but since this was a working holiday we had no plans of going out of the property unless it was necessary other than the grocery. The concern for the ecosystem and the measures taken to protect the environment are commendable. Thanks again for making our stay safe and memorable during these testing times.

This was a great family space. The location was a bit far and no sunset views but very safe place.

Beautiful house with exceptional views. Kitchen well equipped for all our needs. Even had beach towels and beach chairs which came in very handy as well as a secured lock room to secure all our belongings. House was very clean and beds were very comfortable.
The only issue we faced was late arrival. Jaguar Management clearly states not to arrive after 8pm and unforrunately we did. We travelled early morming from Canada and arrived at San Jose by 1:30pm. After clearing customs (1hour), picking up rental car (1hour), getting out of San Jose (45 min) and driving for 3.5+ hours and stopping for a quick bite to eat, we didnt make it by 8pm. Jaguar sent us some pictues of where to turn, plus we had their directions but still couldn't find the house after hours of driving around in the dark. We gave up at 1:30am and drove back to Uvita to find another place to sleep for the night. Luckily, we met someone who had a friend that owned a hostel. By 2:30am we were finally settled in for the night. A long day indeed. We were shown the way to the house the next morning.
Word of caution, if you think you may arrive after 8pm then dont stay here your first night because its extremely hard to find by yourself in the dark.

We are never disappointed when we stay in Costa Rica especially when we are so well looked after by Tom and Christine. This is our first stay at Casa Sea Esta and it was marvelous! The view is the first thing we were amazed about when we arrived. Everything you would need is there - clean and well organized. We had absolutely no issues the entire time we were there. Tom and Christine even checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this villa to anyone! Susan and Bruce

Everything about this Ojochal home was perfect. My husband and I loved every moment. Warm pool, beauty view, immaculately clean, great kitchen for preparing meals but also close to many delicious restaurants and grocery shops. Citrus, Halyconia, Mosaic, Las Alturras were some of our favourites. Also short drive to Playa Tortuga and Playa Ballena. Don’t hesitate to book this great home! Super hosts Tom and Christine helped us with all our questions. Could not have been a better experience!

We had an awesome time! Tom and Christine were wonderful hosts from start to finish. They answered all the questions As we were planning our trip and Took care of any of our needs While we were there. The house was exactly as advertised. What a beautiful spot! Ojochal is within a short drive of great restaurants, tours and beaches. There are many stores where you can buy supplies to get you through the week. If you are coming From North America the costs for Food is about the same. Some have mentioned the drive up to Cass Sea esta as challenging. It is a bit bumpy and there are some steep hills but you get used to it pretty quickly and Tom guides you up the first time. We went up and down everyday at least twice and at nighttime with no issues. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the main highway from up the hill. Another thing to mention about driving. Driving around Costa Rica was a pleasure. You get to see the countryside and explore on your own. We never once felt unsafe. On a map the distance and seem far but if you are used to road trips in North America, most drives are pretty short. Our drive from SAN José to Ojochal took about 3 1/2 hours. We left around 7:30 am drove about 2 hours, stopped at Manuel Antonio for a tour and drove the rest of the way To Ojochal to arrive for check in around 4. The stop made the drive seem very short. If you come here you will have a great time!
