Wunderschöner Bungalow inmitten einer traumhaften Natur. Geschmackvolle Einrichtung, jedes Detail passt. Absolute Empfehlung!

Wonderful pool, large space within the accommodations, lush beautiful private surroundings, lanai was wonderful and used a lot, personal parking space, kitchen was practical with most needed tools, 2 bathrooms.
Some of the kitchen tools should be updated and a few maintenance things need to be addressed such as a leaky bathroom sink, a kitchen cabinet door that won’t stay closed and the microwave wasn’t functional, but overall the place was amazing and truly enjoyable! We would not hesitate to stay again if we ever find ourselves in this part of Costa Rica.

works in progress, noise from 6am up to 6 pm, workers passing by our private terrace with jacuzzi and clear window shower while we were enjoying private moments. Upsetting

There's an uplifted elegant energy throughout the grounds, from the security guard to the cleaning staff. Our two story unit smelled like rich wood. The layout was excellent design for safety, privacy, and super comfortable beds, chairs. AC was great in each bedroom, fans, curtains all clean and in great condition. The bathrooms lighting, hot water and linen quality were exceptional. It is worth mentioning that there we few mosquitos for Ojochal. The space is ample and well equipped for cooking or working remotely, even if there were several occupants. I could stay here long term. My 14 year relaxed. He enjoyed the pool, and commented on how intelligent the whole plaza was with a pharmacy, spa services, bar, store and restaurant all weaved together with hotel. We cannot say enough about the restaurant and we booked another night at end of trip because my son has to come back for more. Citrus is a gem. Families can relax and enjoy pool day, see many bird and plant species.

Very nice private villas with nice decoration, enjoyable private covered terrasse and nice swimmingpool. We also enjoyed Citrus restaurant which is the best dinner we had in Costa Rica.
The quality of the beds should be improved (the are making noise as soon as someone is moving). This is really the only improvement item.

Our bungalow was an open-air Costa Rican jungle hut. Really authentic!

The Room was loverly with big windows and a huge shower. A private balcony. there was a little shop with very good provisions where we stocked up before driving south.
the restaurant was not really part of the hotel and was closed when we were there. So it was a long walk to find another place to eat.

Absolutely beautiful rooms (more like a bungalow), with huge windows which puts you right in the jungle. Even nicer than the photos! The pool area was also lovely. The adjacent restaurant was very good (and very popular on Saturday night) if a bit expensive for Costa Rican standards.
The reception was often not staffed which meant you couldn't easily ask for help when you needed it (which we did a couple of times). It's quite difficult to get anywhere in the area without a car - there are no taxis and Ojochal is not designed for travel by foot.

This is an imaginatively designed little hotel made up of cute cottages in the jungle, but just steps through a passageway to a restaurant that would be a top choice (at twice the price) in any US or European city. The pool is idyllic. Super beaches nearby. Excellent value.
The AC struggled in our one of the rooms of our 2 BR, although we got it comfy for sleeping.

The location and setting is very nice. Inside the town but enough off the road so it is private. The villas and pool are very nice. We had the villa with the bedroom upstairs. The stairs could be difficult for some people.
All good

The setting of individual mini houses was incredible. You felt secluded but still part of a bustling community with a restaurant and shop nearby. Oh, the restaurant "Citrus": Have every single meal of your stay there. The cocktails, the food, the staff, all excellent across the board. The beaches nearby were an absolute treat - if you have a 4x4, go to Arco beach.
If you're a light sleeper you may be kept awake courtesy of the local howler monkeys - we didn't mind though. The first member of staff we bumped into spoke 0 English, the next one was a native speaker though so we were just unlucky at the start.

really pretty room! Wonderful Deilyn at desk. Quiet. super Clean.
Reception was empty a lot of the time. No one to call when we needed a hair dryer or coffee for machine in room. Pool was over chlorinated.

My cabin was spacious, perfect for a family. The pool was relaxing and inviting.
I thought I was booking a room with a bathtub. Oh, well. Next time.

Beautiful room. Secluded accommodations.
Hot water was hit or miss. Staff was lovely but minimal. Maybe still due to Covid.

We were a bit scared when we arrived to this little town, it was raining crazy and everything seemed shut down. How wrong we’re we! Ojochal is the place to be, very good restaurants everywhere and so many things to do around! (Uvita was our favourite of the whole trip). The hotel itself was great, lot of space, very traditional yet comfortable and clean. The staff was really nice and helpful. The restaurant next to the hotel (citrus) was amazing and so was the Belgian bar next to it! Great time!
The parking was not very practical

Quiet and comfortable place, everyone who works there is extremely friendly. The restaurant, Citrus is one of best restaurants we tried in Costa Rica (but a bit pricey).
Great place, great location if you have a car, otherwise far from everything.
