Very comfortable room with lots of amenities convenient to Duluth activities. The property is well maintained and has many original historic features. Didn't try the sauna or walk the grounds due to rain but it looks lovely.

The room was very clean and comfortable. It was easy to access and instructions were very clear. Highly recommend it.

Lovely place, unfortunately someone was trying to use the code to get into the place at 4 A.M. over and over for at least an hour on a Saturday night. The room we stayed in was by the front door so we could hear everything. Not the property’s fault however.

The continental breakfast was better than anticipated. Common areas were very comfortable. It would’ve been nice to know that the room was directly off the main entrance, and would have all the foot traffic of everyone else in the house going past, otherwise the description was very accurate in the listing.

My wife and I try to get up to the Duluth area most every fall and wanted to try something less commercial feeling this year. It worked out very well. We were pretty much on our own with a beautiful room and access to the living area which we most always had to ourselves. The coffee and muffins magically appeared each morning and the fall leaf color on the street was Amazing. Thanks for helping us find this property.

The second you walk to the door of the mansion, your breath is taken away. It's so beautiful. The check in process was so easy and it was nice not having to do anything because I arrived a little late in the evening. The second I walked in the room I was wowed by it. It was very large, lots of space, very clean (and there's a lot of things to keep clean in that room), and so many beautiful things to see. The bathroom is very large and the shower is amazing! I liked the shampoo and conditioner that was supplied. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in and all the bedding was clean, not like in hotels where they only change the sheets and not the conforter (true story, I worked in housekeeping at a hotel). The only issues I had: I struggled to find a pulg in that wasn't connected to the lights so I could charge my phone while I slept. I was able to figure out the lamps in the window ledges on either side of the bed were connected to an extension cord that wasn't controlled by the light switches. The other thing isn't really an issue but this room is right next to time main front door and you can hear when other guests come in or out. At night, the house was very quiet and I'm pretty sure everyone could hear me talking on the phone. Overall, excellent experience and I've already booked a stay in this room again (I am a travel nurse and have a contract at the hospital, I live 3 hours away so I just find somewhere to stay on the days I work and then go home in between). Oh also, the prices to stay in the beautiful mansions are a great deal cheaper than the hotels which makes it feel like even more amazing because this mansion is historical and special.

This was my first time staying in a place like this and I was totally blown away. The estate in itself is something out of a Jane Austin novel. Plus there many other homes of this time period in the area to check out as well. The only thing I didn't like was not having instructions for the TV remote. If I am in a position to afford another stay at this awesome place, I sure will.

We ended up having to cancel when our son got sick, so didn't actually get to stay this time. We've stayed at the house several times over the past 20 years (it was our honeymoon destination!). Communication with the host was easy, and we look forward to booking again in the future.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our room was beautiful and very clean. We also enjoyed the common areas of the house especially the lovely sun porch. The grounds are very pretty also with places to sit and enjoy the beauty. Also enjoyed the morning bakery treats and coffee. Would definitely stay here again.

Property contact was extremely lacking in compassion and understanding. In, addition I could hear everything outside my room, including the clanking of dishes, people talking, doors closing and I could hear every step the people upstairs took. The room seemed fairly clean until I found a used condom wrapper behind the entertainment stand by the garbage.
Access was easy and the grounds had a nice esthetic.

A wonderful time
The property and the people who are around Duluth are some of the nicest people I have met my partner and I were so happy to be in a room like that it was wonderful
