About this cottage rental
As you enter the cottage, the hallway is light and well decorated and leads to the good sized kitchen and lounge. The lounge has a window and French doors overlooking the garden area (table and chairs are provided) making this a very light room. There are two leather settees, oak dining table & four chairs, TV, and CD player and plenty of lamps.
The kitchen is again a good light room and has plenty cupboard and worktop space. There is a fridge/freezer, gas cooker, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave etc.
Upstairs there are two pretty bedrooms, one large twin room and a smaller double room. The twin room is very spacious and has two single beds (which can be made up as a super-king for an additional charge), wardrobe, drawers, and bed-side cabinets. The double room is cosy and has a double bed, wardrobe, drawers and coordinating bed linen and curtains.
The newly fitted bathroom has bath with shower over, w.c. and wash hand basin again a very light room.
The apartment is conveniently situated a stones throw from Booth's supermarket (which has an electric car charging point) and the E-Venture shop for easy bike hire.
Being only about 15 yards away from Quaver Cottage may prove ideal for two families wishing to holiday together but not wanting to be in the same house.

Second time staying at Elm Cottage. Great location, couple of minutes walk into Main Street but very quiet. Added bonus of having allocated parking. Cottage itself comfortable and no issues.

A lovely clean property located in a very convenient spot for all Keswick has to offer, also a quiet spot.
We have stayed there for many years and the owner is continually updating the property. The staff at Keswick Cottages are always very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Have already booked for a stay next year.

Excellent location great having carpark space. Every thing you need clean very good. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Lovely property with a brilliant location.
The improvements to the bathroom are good, still the toilet is very high (step needed) for short people. Some paint work has been done, it makes whats not been done look very tired . Hopefully they will continue to update the decor and keep it to the nice standard it has been. The sofa needs a good clean and my one wish would be for the cleaners not to leave the hoover full .

Elm Cottage is a lovely 2 bedroom cottage in central Keswick. It is well equipped, warm, comfortable and has the added benefit of an allocated parking space. We've stayed there twice now and will definitely stay there again. Booked via Keswick Cottages who are our go to agent. Very professional and clear instructions on everything to do with the property.

Elm Cottage is in a perfect location in Keswick, just a couple of minutes walk and you’re right in the centre of town. The property has everything you need for your stay, and if you should be short of anything, the office is just a short walk away. We’ve stayed here before and would definitely stay again.

Stayed at Elm cottage a number of times. Great location, always clean and tidy so will be booking again.

The house was perfect for a November break. It was warm, the furniture and beds were comfortable and it was well-eqipped. The bathroom looked recent and the shower worked well.
The outside space is very tight to the carpark so probably not a great place for sitting out.
It’s really hard to avoid dirtying the hall carpet in bad weather and I’d recommend some hard flooring.
The location is excellent. Booths supermarket is your corner shop and easy access to town and the lake.

The cottage is very clean, well-equipped and spacious. It is very close to the centre of Keswick but very quiet at night. Booths supermarket, bus station, shops, cafes and pubs all within a couple of minutes walk. Ours was a last minute booking but confirmation and key collection details e-mailed within a few minutes.
We have stayed in many holiday cottages in Keswick over the years but Elm Cottage will be our first choice for future visits,

Cottage delivered what was promised being both comfortable and close to Keswick centre Although compact there was enough room for 2 adults and 2 large dogs and despite no fenced garden there was easy access to suitable night walking

Having stayed in Elm cottage although the cottage was clean and comfortable i would have liked to have been able to use the bath tub. However part of the surface of the bath was unslightly to look at. The stair landing smoke alarm cover was open with no battery in it and also the creaking floorboard outside the bathroom. People walking across the front garden was quite annoying.

A convenient place to stay.
A compact but well equipped cottage.
Everything in the property that we could need

Lovely, well equipped, comfortable and spacious cottage in a quiet part of the town but only a couple of minutes walk to the town centre. Keswick Cottages are a pleasure to deal with - helpful and friendly and with abundance of local knowledge.

The cottage is in a brilliant location.
On arrival we entered the cottage the sofas are very tired and dirty as it was late l gave them a clean but they where uncomfortable and could do with replacing . The bathroom the toilet is very high and have someone in our party that is only 5 ft found it very uncomfortable to use. The bath need replace as the coating on it is broken and it looks very dirty . For the premium price we payed we did not feel this time it was worth the money

We had a great week in Elm Cottage. Excellent location close to shops and Town centre. A very comfortable cottage with everything needed and just round the corner from Bridge House where other family members were staying for the first weekend. We have stayed here before and would do so again, we highly recommend. Keswick cottages are our first port of call when booking in the Keswick area. They are an excellent company.

Great location minutes from Main Street and the lake. Cottage itself was great, was decorated lovely for Christmas and lights and heating had been switched on for our arrival which was really appreciated. Received all the information required from Keswick Cottages and no issues.

The location was ideal and always good to have parking, aside from some paint touch ups and awkwardly placed power points in bedrooms the property is great and these things certainly would not put us off staying again. The kitchen had really good storage for food as well as good provision of crockery etc.
Will definitely look to stay here again.

This was our first stay at a Elm Cottage and we weren’t disappointed. We looked for a central Keswick location, with two bedrooms and easy parking - one allocated directly outside and a key for one of several guest parking bays. Other central properties have been lovely but parking our RAV4 has been a struggle. As I was travelling down by train and bus, I wanted to be near Keswick buses - Elm Cottage was perfect as it is situated next to Booths and the bus terminus (my husband was driving down the following day). Although this is a busy area there was no noise disturbance during the day or night.
The cottage itself was very well presented, comfortable and we had everything we needed during our stay. Heating and hot water were instantaneous when required, which was great as it was damp and cold last week.
We have stayed in other properties in Elliot Park and so understood the benefits of being next door to Booths supermarket for wonderful food shopping and being able to walk into town - no parking worries at peak time!
Elm Cottage is definitely added to our list of central places to stay and we look forward to a return visit. Travelling by public transport wouldn’t be a problem and there are so many wonderful walks that can be completed from the door, so you wouldn’t need to use the car.
As always, the Keswick Cottages Team are available to answer queries and that is another reason we always choose to book with them. They are located in town, know all the properties and owners, therefore, provide an excellent personal service!

Overall a great place to stay. Paintwork needs attention.
Seagulls are a serious problem. It might be seasonal but their noise was irritating by day and disturbing at night. If a colony takes root in and around the houses it will eventually spoil the stay.
