All that we saw was impressive and aesthetic. Our room was spacious and bed itself just right to sleep after a busy day. Front of house staff and the service team in the dining area were all smiles and helpful I cannot fault them. Could do with a better taxi link for customers to avoid rouge drivers from major pick up points.

I was pleasantly surprised by the well-done recent renovations at Cresta Churchill. We booked suites which were a great value and included a separate (no door) sitting area with a couch, second tv, desk and mini fridge. Rooms were very comfortable and had ample plugs with built in converters and usb outlets. Wifi was sufficient. Bathrooms were well appointed. My colleagues fridge smelled like it was overheating which was a bit of a concern but we just unplugged it. Could also hear a bit of noise from the plumbing from other rooms but nothing major. Our suites were on the third floor with no lift, which may present problems for some. Check-in wasnt very smooth--they did not have our reservations (from hotels.com) and we had to present the printouts, but they were not near full and let us checkin very early (9am after arriving on an international flight) which was very welcomed. The cold breakfast buffet wasnt great, but Zim is having a tough time on imports at present so it wasnt too unexpected, and the hot options for breakfast were good. Dinner was fine but not the best quality meat and quite expensive for what you got (if you paid in USD). Hotel is a bit removed from town but we didnt mind and it was a quiet area. Overall a good stay and option for Bulawayo, despite some minor issues.

Generally OK, but we were kept waiting rather too long at reception on arrival, no-one offered to help with our bags and the restaurant said it wasnt authorised to add our meals to the hotel bill.Minor points, but all adding up to something less than full satisfaction.

this is an old hotel with history like most places in Zimbabwe the grandeur has faded a bit but it is very clean and reasonably well kept. The staff staff is wonderful and proper lifting up the premisis and made it a nice place to stay. I wouldn't worry about being outside of town you just stand on the road and a honda fit will roll by honk it's horn and you jump in and for 50 cents you are in town in a few minutes. This shared taxi works great. The wifi was excellent better than any we have had in souther Africa. The bar and restaurant reasonable. There is a supermarket a couple doors down if you want to stock up on snacks. We had a good stay I was also happy they arranged my airport pickup by email! I would definitely return.

Rather tired, nothing obviously wrong but not a good feel. The hotel offers complementary transfers to the airport but wanted to charge us $30. Lunch was offered at $2 for beef stew and £3 for oxtail. Warm, not particularly tasty but when the bill came they wanted $3 and $4 respectively. Breakfast offered a limited buffet choice. My cooked breakfast, no fried eggs, was barely luke warm; they offered to heat it up but it came back the same temperature. Decided to make bacon sandwich but the bread was stale. No toast.

With difficult conditions in the country this hotel continues to offer very excellent accommodations. The hotel is in need of some updates but everything works well, and the staff is very outstanding. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bulawayo.

Strange old mock-Tudor hotel about 8kms out of Bulawayo towards the Matobos. Room was clean but furnishes are old. Fine for an overnight stop. A bit expensive for what you get - but Zim is an expensive place. Food in the restaurant was decent. Quite enjoyed the weird vibe!

Nice hotel, nice and friendly people. The hotel could use a renovation, especially for the bathroom. Breakfast was very good. We booked the hotel because it was close to the Matobo park. We arranged a visit to the park at the reception, which was a bit unfortunate: they arranged their taxi driver, who appeared not to know anything of the park, while the car was not a 4wd, not able to drive us to the most interesting places.

Unfortunately we only had time to stay one night but we found the hotel very pleasant and the staff friendly and efficient. The food in the dining room was very good and a reasonable cost. I will definitely stay there again. We came from Harare airport and were on our way to Hwange National Park.

I stopped at the Cresta for one night as I passed through Bulawayo on the way to Victoria Falls. It was a nice enough hotel, although further out from the centre of town that I realised.

I stayed at this hotel with a large group of people initially and then on my own after the group left.
The staff went above and beyond to serve us and always with a smile on their face!!!
Bed was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was also well maintained throughout the 11 days of my stay.
Delicious full breakfast was varied and delicious every morning !!
Management were extremely helpful even when I had to change my booking at last minute!!
