Prepare to be BLOWN away by this hot, delicious breakfast! No cold cereal & an apple!!! Instead fresh Cal Poly Eggs cooked to order for you! Add in hot breakfast potatoes & crispy well done bacon. This breakfast would have cost our family $50-$60 at a restaurant! Wow what an unexpected V-a-L-U-E!! Plus we were offered complimentary drinks at the bar. We felt like we stumbled onto a gem! Also I LuVed the gym. Very clean. Plus you can’t beat the location…I popped out to Nordstrom Rack, World Market, REi & Hobby Lobby (all a stones throw from the hotel lobby) 🌲🛍️

Very disappointed in our stay. The breakfast is mediocre and not worth the higher cost of the hotel. The cocktail happy hour was very disappointing. It included corn chips, a cheap pretzel mix and ritz crackers. They used to have food including vegetable and fruit trays. We were surprised to find that they charged $12 per night for parking. It used to be included in the high price of the room. They never mentioned that they were going to charge extra until I checked out.

While the property is clean, there is work that can be done to finally upgrade these rooms. If you book a "balcony room" be aware that the constant noise from those above you opening and shutting the sliding balcony door sounds and reverberates down at a noise level that is quite jarring and disturbing. ALSO, regardless if you are a Hilton member or not, I used to be able to request a late checkout up to 2PM (needed as i have elderly family visiting and need the additional time) and now that latest the give you and call it "complimentary" is 12PM, otherwise they bill you $50 per additional hour (completely a cash grab) and the front desk acts as though they can not do anything and pawn it off on the upper office so not to have to deal with it. Now, I am not sure if this is the case as a Diamond member still because recently my membership was downgraded to Gold but when I was a Diamond member at other Hilton properties, I never had to experience this issue. So that would def be alarming that the customer is now classified by membership type for a hotel to determine whether to charge or not. Also, can something be done about the fact that check-in is 4PM. I asked the front desk why this was and the solution was essentially to check in and pay for an extra day early so that a person can actually have a full day's stay. Oh, and the incidental up-front fee now increased to $100 from $50 in the last few months. The consumer is becoming less appreciated and more like herded cattle

Breakfast was great especially the made to order omelettes but aside from this the response to maintenance requests was one of the worst i experienced
We noticed that the toilet was flushing kind of slow and called the front desk at 7pm. They said they would get engineering over. Waited until 9pm and no one came. Got too sleepy and ended up falling asleep.
Next morning at 6am I notified front desk again and said that no one came when I notified them of the problem last night. They said they would send someone over. Waited until 7 and still no one came. Had breakfast and by the time we packed and checked out at 9:15 still no one came
Family of 4 and cannot even use the toilet in our hotel room? Inexcusable and very unpleasant experience service wise.

We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. We’ve always passed by but never stayed. Was close to shopping and not far from the beach.

I was in room 243 and had a dog barking, sounded like the dog was in my room. Obviously u know how that turned out, other neighbors were banging on walls and it never stopped . I believed dogs were left alone. I told front desk. The gentlemen didnt seem to concern about it, super frustrating and really hoping for my money back. Also i let the front desk listen to my videos and then he believed me. Where do i send videos

It was above the kitchen and it smelled like hamburgers. The court lot yard can get a little loud in the evening.
4.2
The hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is older and hasn’t been updated in a while. The rooms were ok but the bathroom wasn’t very clean.
4.2
No jacuzzi/hot tub. Could have usb-c/usb plugs. Plate was left in hallway for almost a day. Could of been long since it was still there when I left. Housekeeping was cleaning the next room over and left and never picked it up.
4.2
I would stay here again but next time I would take my own coffee and pillow. Breakfast is free, order the omelette because the buffet tends to be cold.
4.2
everything good. would be better if there was a hot spa next to the pool as well.
floor plan not great - the bathroom door opens out into a narrow busy area with microwave, fridge and sink where people are likely to be hit by the door when someone comes out of the bathroom.
4.2
Check in was fine, rooms seem dated. We paid for an executive suite so it was on the top floor, only four levels at this location, but the room was waaay off in a corner corridor and the balcony overlooked a parking lot next to the freeway. In the morning we realized that there was a leak from the ceiling and some other obvious water damage to the ceiling in another part of the room. Its on the small side for an embassy suites. Luckily we only needed a place to shower and sleep for a high school football game we were attending. I feel like it was overpriced for the room we received.

Everything was good, no complaints. Super comfortable bed, close to shopping and good eats.

Close to shopping

Good location in the area!

Great hotel. Stag.was very helpful. Very very clean
4.2
Rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable (Beauty rest mattresses!). The complimentary breakfast was also great, with a decent amount of variety and a made to order omelet bar. Would recommend to others and would also stay again.
4.2
Big rooms very comfortable beds. Veey clean property
4.2
Good for an overnight stay. Could hear noise coming from adjacent rooms and there was police activity outside our windows in the main entrance.
4.2
The staff is friendly and our room was nice and clean.
4.2
Amazing stay.
4.2
Our room was noisy the first night as you could hear loud delivery trucks early in the morning and I got terrible sleep, so I requested a different room. Then the cleaning service didn’t give us a chance to pack up to move rooms and began cleaning bathrooms, so I asked her to come back. Then we had a leaky shower faucet in the new room but guest services had the repair guy come up fast. He remedied the problem but didn’t fix it. The pros were it’s pet friendly and they had plenty of areas for your dog to go out with clean up bags available. The breakfast wasn’t good but the coffee was great! I probably won’t return but enjoyed our visit to SLO.
4.2
I enjoyed my stay. The rooms are a great size for families. The breakfast includes made to order omelettes! Staff were super friendly.
4.2
The morning staff at the breakfast area is very nice and helpful. What I didn’t like was the pool. Unable to identify if the pool had dirt or feces. The room needs to be air out. Overall these are small things that can be fix. But staff were great and helpful.
4.2
Everything was clean, a little too loud because of the highway. The AC was making noise all night long.
4.2
Embassy does appear what it use to be. Our stay in Palm Desert Embassy was terrible. At least this on is doable.
4.2
I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service. When I arrived, there was no one at the front desk for a good 15 minutes, leaving me standing there feeling ignored.
To make matters worse, as part of my stay, I was supposed to receive two free drinks at the bar. However, when I went to redeem them, I found out that the bar had closed 15 minutes early, meaning I missed out on my complimentary drinks. This was incredibly frustrating and felt like a slap in the face.
On top of all of that, my room was situated right next to a freeway, resulting in constant noise throughout the night. It was impossible to get a good night's sleep with the constant traffic sounds filling the room.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The lack of customer service, early closure of amenities, and noisy room made for a disappointing experience. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for accommodations.
4.2
It was an overall excellent experience and stay. Would definitely book it again!
4.2
Outdated property.
4.2
After staying in some lower quality hotels on our journey, this hotel was a breath of fresh air. As soon as we entered the hotel we were impressed by the beautiful atmosphere. We were welcomed and made to feel immediately at home. The 2 free drinks each evening at the bar were the icing on the cake.
4.2
We enjoy our stays here. The breakfast included is delicious - definitely get an omelet! The new bellman carts are very nice! The staff are always kind, friendy and helpful. Unfortunately, when busy, there are not enough disabled parking available.
4.2
We had a great stay! The hotel check in was fast and easy. Receptionist was very nice and helpful. The room was big and clean. We had extra pillows and blankets brought to us. Happy hour was a plus, very conveniently located in a shopping area with clothing stores and restaurants around.
4.2
The staff was excellent!
4.2
Overall the property is okay but there are areas it can improve.
- Don't charge for parking, it is ridiculous
- Coffee should be serve all day
- Upgrade your windows to reduce freeway noise
4.2
Expedia screwed up our booking. The desk staff at Embassy Suites saved us a lot of money.
4.2
Comfortable rooms for families. Great breakfast in the morning and happy hour in the evening
4.2
Free breakfast with decent selection. Large, dated rooms.
4.2
We like the Embassy chain for its suites, welcome reception, generous breakfast, pool for the kids, and (usually) large atrium. This Embassy has all of those perks, but our room had worn furniture and because all rooms are dog-friendly, the space activated our allergies.
4.2
Underwhelming facility. Reception and breakfast are top notch. Front desk staff are excellent. Facilities need major updating and better job cleaning. Our room had quite a bit of damage and stains
4.2
So easy to stay in these hotels. Everything is great. Except when the room is for 4 people and there are only 2 towels in the bathroom.
