We were in Scranton for a dinner out with the family. We love the Station Hotel mainly because it is a beautiful historic hotel. The lobby decor is festive and amazing. The bar also is nice. I was travelling with my service dog and I appreciated the pet friendliness. In terms of improvement, our room looked like it needed a refurbish. We were on the 3rd floor.Overall a great stay.

The door lock was not working properly which was a big inconvenience

The room was smaller than expected, but was clean and comfortable. The staff worked hard to get people checked in though the computers were down. They maintained a pleasant and professional attitude even though it was stressful for them. We enjoyed our stay.

Meh. This historic structure deserves better management. Get your WiFi together, this isn’t 2002.

Didn't realize that people could leave their dogs in the room all day unattended to constantly bark and cry. Frint desk blew it off. The 5am dog barks and wakes everyone up. Check this place off to never go again

We had a family memorial in town- the hotel was well located and very interesting historically. The building WAs beautifully restored in the main hall and offered several good dining options in the lobby- a beautiful setting. The rooms were somewhat dark but clean. Beds were comfortable. The AC system has loud.

I was expecting a much better experience for that price. The check in was long, the room (607) was tiny, claustrophobic, no fresh air, hair in the shower and on the towels. The air conditioner was so loud we couldn't sleep and eventually checked out at 6am.

Check in was a little messy as the systems were down, but all in all this is a beautiful clean hotel that we stayed in for one night. We didn't eat or use any facilities there, but I would have liked to. You get to dine in the old great hall of the train station.

Nicest place in town. Large comfy room, good bar, good vibes. If you’re planning on heading to Steamtown why would you stay anywhere else?

I booked this for an overnight on our way home from vacation. I booked a double queen they gave us one full bed and a rollaway. I complained and was given a king room with a sleeper. Literature showed dates times and phone # for room service. The info was incorrect. Upon registering we were told that Carmen's restaurant opened at five. We went to enjoy dinner only to be told that because of a festival in town the restaurant was not open. the toilet was a slow flusher and had to be refilled and flushed twice with each use.It was a very cool building but I was severely disappointed as I picked it for the multiple dining options. I would have been better off going with a more affordable hotel with a pool. There was a wedding there and a baby crying kept us from going to bed early or sleeping late while the festivities kept us up until 2 am.

Nice, close to everything.

The building is beautiful and the beds are comfortable. The rooms were temperature controlled but the common areas felt damp. The shower stall is very small, although that’s not a substantial issue. Good stay overall.

I feel sorry for this hotel - it's just like the city of Scranton. They keep trying and trying, and there are glimmer of real prosperity and glamour, but the shabbiness shows through. I give a lot of credit to the entrepreneurs who rescued the beautiful building in the 1980's - they did a fabulous job restoring the building to its former glory. Unfortunately, the hotel shows a lot of evidence of underinvestment since then. The chairs in the lobby are worn through, the reception area is kind of shabby, the rooms are generally nice but some parts (like the faucets and tile) are clearly 1980's vintage, and the shower was redone in a plasticy cover. The room furnishings are OK, though the desk chair is incredibly uncomfortable. The TVs look to be about 10 years old. Service at the reception desk was kind of gruff - certainly not what I expected.
I wanted to like this hotel, but it really needs an infusion of capital and staff training.

This is an incredible property with deep historic roots. If you are a train buff, this is the place for you! Front desk staff could have been a bit more friendly. Room was large and clean with updated amenities like good bedside lighting and plugs and ports. Not that we really watch tv but the tv was pretty small. Nice to have a tub. Dining room for breakfast is beautiful but staff simply need more training. Food was bleh.

Two fabulous restaurants on site. Room was lovely, check in was great, housekeeping was wonderful and super on top of any needs. .

It’s an older property but very well maintained. Staff was great, the property was clean, there’s a coffee shop plus 2 restaurants to eat at on site, plus many others within walking distance.

The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. I love the historic details and it was a beautiful stay. It was also conveniently close to Scranton University for our campus tour.

Let me start with the things I really did not like. The SMELL of the hotel hits you right in the face as you walk in. Yes, it’s an older historic building, but there is no excuse for it to smell like grandma’s mildew-ridden closet. They do have nice air freshener systems out there. The second thing that I did not like was the air conditioner unit in our room. That thing made a lot of noise. Like A LOT. Just as you almost fall asleep, it kicks in with a roar and a rumble. The third thing that really ticked me off was the room service for breakfast. Long gone are the days when your breakfast was rolled in on a nicely set table with a waiter. We got a few trays with plates wrapped in layers of plastic plopped on a writing desk that is NOT suitable for two people.
However, the hotel is breathtaking if you love history and architecture. The food is great! (Just skip the room service’s extra charge and go to eat downstairs).
The beds are extremely comfortable and inviting. The shower was just perfect combo of pressure and temperature.
The staff is very helpful and accommodating, but it feels like they are understaffed or something, because they all look very stressed.
I would stay in this hotel again though, because out of all Scranton options this one is the best for it’s price

Incredible architecture and history of Americas railroad and the Industrial Revolution of late 1800s to early 1900s. This is a unique proprty that the Radisson manages well

Hotel. Com gave us a quote $149 for one night including taxes. We received a charge on our credit card $227. The disclaimer states does not include details of Hotel fees and other items. Fees exceeding $70 are totally historical alright. Staff were excellent but when you discover mold in the ceilings return vents in the center of the 6th floor you question your choice. Room was fine and clean. Water closet height definitely challenging to sit on. Oye Vey
