The front desk people are not very friendly. I booked through Hotels and the pictures of this hotel are 100% a lie. This hotel looks nothing like the pictures provided. There’s a terrible smell coming from downstairs and when we got to our room it has a lingering smoke smell and the floors smells like urine. I booked a room for up to 4 people and we ended up having 3 adults and a child in our room and they made a big deal about it and told us we had to pay them $20 in cash. Their hotel has NOT been serviced. There is no documentation anywhere that it’s up to date in servicing and it looks like it’s going to break down. The number one button is smashed in and the floor is actually breaking. The continental breakfast they claim to provide is just sad. A few pieces of toast, 2 bagels, some cereal, and a waffle machine. Coffee tastes like dirt and old crusty powdered creamer packets were provided. When we asked for clean towels, because one of them had a giant hole in it, the front desk person made a huge deal over it and we didn’t even get them. We had to ask again. Also the light above our sink went completely out, they never came to replace it when notified. There’s no cable tv, the lamps are disgusting, and everyone woke up feeling broken from how cheap the beds are. Provided photos of elevator, lamps, and “breakfast.” I was here for my best friends wedding and needed to be close to the venue. Which is why we booked this hotel.

I booked the hotel for Wednesday and Thursday i didn't show up on Wednesday but i showed up Thursday morning at 6:30 to check in. The clerk was extremely unhelpful with seeing if i can check in or if i could stay late because she doesn't know the status of the room. It would be nice if a customer is willing to pay extra to stay late and pay extra to check in early to work with a customer. But I guess thats just Baymont by Wyndham of St. Charles Customer service definitely not a good look.

My hotel room phone was not working. I had to leave the room and go down to the front when I need something. The tv did not come with a list. The tv set up was wired l. I had to tURN EVERY SINGLE channel to get to what I like to look at.

It smelled awful. I have to wonder if there hadn't been widespread water damage ... perhaps that afternoon? We hoped the smell would be limited to the hallways but no, room smelled awful, too. We tried our best to fall asleep as soon as possible, and set an early alarm to get out as soon as possible. It was sort of hard to find the hotel -- our navigation had us snaking through a nearby apartment complex parking lot, and there were no obvious signage to help us figure it out. Our room's door handle didn't work properly. And the computer system was down at checkout, so no receipt (and one was not emailed to me, even though I left them an address when they asked for one). They are renovating the place -- they have a huge job ahead of them.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The breakfasts were wonderful with at least 2 egg choices and 2-3 meat choices each morning plus other options (toast, bagels, fruit, waffles, yogurt, cereal, etc). Each member of the staff that we encountered was very pleasant and helpful and gave us service with a smile! We would never hesitate to stay there again, if we are ever in the area. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Good location in St. Charles. Good, clean, no nonsense rooms and facilities. Good, free breakfast options. Very nice staff. You can hear the people walking above you in these rooms and so I would recommend asking for a room on the top, third floor.

Outside of property has not been mowed or maintained in weeks. Grass was a foot tall, weeds everywhere. If it weren’t late and for traveling all day, I’d probably would’ve not have stayed. If you pay $150 for a room, you expect something Things to be better shape. Hairball on the shower wall and air conditioner would barely keep the room cool. I don’t know how it got an 8.0 rating I would probably go with a 4.0 Not the end of the world, but just an honest review.

The room was clean. The bed was a little too soft. I am a large person and the bed just didn't provide the support that I need to be comfortable. Breakfast bar needs a little attention. Sausage is not supposed to be served a light grey color. I prefer sausage to be a golden brown. Everyone was friendly, thats a plus. elevator electrical panel needs attention. Two screws are missing and another screw is about ready to fall out. Renovations were under way, so maybe when they are complete things will be better.

I don’t know that I’d stay here again. I wasn’t impressed with how clean the bathroom was and didn’t feel my room had counters wiped down recently. I was able to make it work and it was affordable and safe but idk that I’d want to spend another night here

I didn’t like that I wasn’t told about it being under construction. Outlet was coming out of the wall for the ac plug. Bed was sunken in on the left side and hard to left comfortable on the bed with rolling to that side. Bathroom ceiling was moldy or just dirty. Carpet was outdated and worn. The grass around the motel has not been taken care of or cut. For ice you had to walk to the front desk to get it. Toilet is very skinned. Sink drained very slow. Gym looked nice.

Looked closed when we arrived because the landscaping was not taken care of and grass was grown up. We checked in and the suite had a couch that had a couple of huge stains on it like someone had sex on the cushion with oil or something. We came back to the hotel after the casino and tried to get in and the lobby door was locked and so we went to the side door and our keycard wouldn’t work on it so we went back to the lobby door and finally found a keycard place. To me that means that you are in a sketchy area when they have to lock the lobby

The check-in and check out staff was phenomenal. You have a great team there. Bathroom cleanliness was “meh” - quite a bit of mildew in tub - but the rest was nice. Overall good value and would stay again if in the area.

PROS: The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accomodating. They all deserve to work at a better place. CONS: Our stay started with a drug-addled woman in the parking lot fighting with her significant other. Employees said the cops had just left, but the couple had come back again after eluding the police. The hotel is under renovations, which is good because it's very outdated. The rooms and our hallway smelled like musty gym socks from the 70s. The furniture is old, stained, and uncomfortable. The lighting in the room and bathroom was terrible. I would not recommend staying here.
