Hotel was poorly cleaned. Tub was dirty. After 3 days I asked to have sheets changed, I was told there was no housekeeping staff available and this was on a Monday morning. I was giving no options other than it would not get done. After returning to the hotel later that night my linen was not changed. I had to ask for a room change. My advise, bring your own cleaning products and clean linen.

Wish Hotels.Com didn't bury fine print way at the bottom of the page, or would list pet fees more prominently. Pet fee was expensive. Maybe that's normal, but not what I'd consider pet friendly. They also charge for parking. Room was decently clean, except for a girl scout cookie stuck to the top of the air conditioner. Body wash in the shower was empty, and both the shampoo and conditioner were obviously watered down. They gave us a room with a small balcony instead of the large balcony I booked. I didn't think anything of it or really care at the time, since the price online was the same. But when I checked out, they had someone else's name listed on my room, and I was charged both the online booking price plus another charge for an entire room instead of just the pet fee. I live in the area, so when I noticed the extra charge I went back to get it fixed, but the receptionist couldn't fix it, promised to have a manager call me. A week later, no call, no refund, so I had to go back a second time. They say they've refunded it now, but still waiting to see if I need to file a CC dispute.

While the price was good and the location was perfect, the staff did not give us the room we paid for, due to the employee not knowing that some King rooms have a chair and some have a pull out bed. Our daughter needed somewhere to sleep, and almost had to use a pallet to sleep on (their idea), but instead managed to swap out our room instead. We ended up with an upgrade from a pullout couch to 2 beds, but the room reeked of weed, there was an opened can in the fridge, and towels piled up behind the door. The beds were made, so someone went in there before we did, and didnt clean fully. While we appreciate that our daughter didnt have to sleep on the floor, we paid for a room with a pullout couch, so they should make sure they have a failsafe way to prevent that from happening to someone else, especially if they are going into a sold out weekend and cant easily swap.

Stayed for one night and would not come back. The room was not clean. Food was in the fridge and bathroom looked not clean. Front desk staff that check me either was not friendly.

There was laundry in the hallway, a couple black trash bags full of? In the ice room, and the elevators and hall needed vacuuming. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, which is all I need. Despite the hallway conditions described, I will go back.

Marica at the front desk was very put out that she had to get up and service the customers. I was trying to extend my stay and asked if they could match the online rate, I showed it to her and she said yes, then asked me to insert my credit card, the display was showing $23 more, when I brought it to her attention, she replied "I was doing you a favor"! Why is doing your kob doing me a favor?

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Not exactly luxurious, but it was fine. Didn't love the layout. Three women getting ready, only one cramped mirror space. Check-in was pretty bad. Desk clerk had stepped away and there were about ten of us waiting 15 minutes to check in. Clerk was unfriendly and terse.

I paid for an upgrade but the 2 front desk clerks don't know how to read their screen. They both argued I was wrong, until they found the charge. And neither clerk apologized. They act like it's petty for me to expect to get the room I paid for, but it's not petty for me to be charged. No refund has been given for the upcharge. A complaint was emailed, no response from management.

When i checked in Sunday night, I was immediately informed that there would be no water in the hotel from 9am-5pm the next day. No discounted price or other compensation for the missing essential amenity was offered. Why would I pay full price for a hotel room that does not have water for the majority of the waking hours i would be staying there. The hotel absolutely knew about this in advance as they had the water outage info printed on paper and handing it out. Advertises dinner, never once saw any kind of dinner. Breakfast doesnt start until some unspecified time after 7 am. 7 is already too late, particulary in an area where a lot of large companies have headquarters. The first morning, this meant i did not have time to eat breakfast at the hotel because, well, I have a job. the second morning I had a bit more time, but waited til about 7:02 and there was no indication that food would be set out anytime soon so i checked out and was done with it. This was my first and last time at a Sonesta property.

The hotel desk clerk was so weird and rude. Was on the phone talking in her AirPod as I checked in, wasn’t pleasent in the slightest. I asked questions, she gave dry/one-worded answers. The room was freezing cold and didn’t even have soap in the room. The phone didn’t work to call the front desk and ask for anything I had to use my cell. Plus, I was never told when checkout was, so they changed me $15 for an extension. I will never be back

The location was good for where I needed to go but the room was bad. Nasty, big stains on the floor. The patio door didn't lock, the bathroom shower smelled mildewed. There were no bathroom amenities like hand soap, lotion. Just poor! Staff was nice. Didn't eat the breakfast. Room didn't heat up enough in the evening when it was cool. If I had to choose, I wouldn't stay again.

I’ve been to soooooo many Sonesta Locations in my life. This one has to be the worst. Location isn’t bad but the hotel is dirty. My room was changed twice and both had the same story, they were dirty. Hair all over bathrooms, carpets were stained out in the wide open, it smells in the building, and the pool water is so dirty like cloudy with not much up keep of it. Staff was friendly but this location service and hotel quality is poor. Ideal place to stay in Michigan but definitely not worth the money at all. Worst Sonesta I’ve ever been to period. NOOO house keeping offered.
