Decent stay but a little run down and outdated for amenities. Good walking distance from city centre. View from the window was good but the shower pressure was terrible.

The room we booked had fantastic views of the lake and mountains. Reception area was quite smart and impressive. The soft furnishings within the room had a fusty smell which was a let down. On day of departure we were repeatedly unable to enter our room after breakfast (before 0900) although we had made reception aware. Ben in the restaurant was very competent, helpful and friendly. Thanks for your hospitality.

The Copthorne is getting quite tired these days but the staff are excellent and you can’t ruin that wonderful view. A bit of a tidy up and facelift and it would go back to being one of the very best in Queenstown

My room was in need of updating. The blackout curtains were old and torn. Wallpaper was starting to peel in places. Wifi would connect but not work at all. Bathroom was clearly recently renovated. Room needed similar updates. Hallways were not well insulated throughout the hotel and it was drafty. Views were stunning and very convenient to downtown Queenstown.

it is a bit outdated, please be aware there is no air conditioner in room, there is a heater only. No extraction fan in the bathroom or it is not working. There is not much air circulation. I should have chosen Hilton for the same price offered.

Good walking distance from town centre. Ordered food and drink and was waiting 50 minutes for drinks which should’ve taken 10 at the most. It wasn’t a busy night. When reminded of our order the staff still took another 15-20 to make it as.

Good location but that is really the only thing it has going for it. Room cleanliness was obviously done hastily (hairs and stains aren't what I expect, especially at this price point) and walls are thin. Room was a pretty good size, though.

Someone had clearly been smoking in our room and it reeked of cigarettes. We let the staff know who came by and sprayed the floor- didn’t make much difference. We slept with the window open. Property is a bit dated but very comfortable. Aside from the smoke smell, would recommend for sure.

No air conditioning apart from a wall fitted heater and a fan. For winter might not be a problem. However one of the nights we spent at the hotel the temperature was 6-7 degrees higher than average and we really missed air conditioning. Onsite parking wasn’t free for in-house guests, which is usually free. Therefore it was kind of misleading. Should have mentioned that under hotel facilities

We had a disgruntled and argumentative person staying in the room above us that verbally abused and threatened me personally over the balcony, repeated calls to the lobby and security failed to remove this person from the facility even after other guests and locals complained about the man’s nature resulting in NO sleep as he was still playing music and yelling in an intoxicated manner , repeated calls to security failed to stop it , VERY poor actions from the hotel to protect its guests

Arrived after check in time to find our room wasn't ready and they couldn't tell us when it would be. Then we where provided with a garage card so we could park our car but they didn't let us know that they over sell carparks so you are not guaranteed a spot even when paying for one. Once we finally where able to check into our room discovered stained and marked bedding, no room information and the room was extremely hot. Would think twice about staying again.
