Great location in Central Gent. Very nice rooms. Didn't try breakfast as seemed a little expensive but overall the hotel is very good.

Tres bonne experience, excellent service

Excellent staff who were very welcoming, a great location and a really nice room. One of the most comfortable beds i have ever slept in. Definitely hope to be back again

My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay at this hotel. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable and the views fantastic. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend the hotel to others.

Good value for money. Conveniently located in historic area. Street-facing room was quite noisy given the hot night and need to open the windows. Staff were correct, though not particularly warm.
2.5
The hotel was comfortable and catered for our needs. The family really enjoyed it. The prime location was ideal for the festivities. Reception staff were very helpful especially with parking
3.0
Nice hotel, staff was very nice. Parking was very confusing and you need to go through walking zone. We end up parking in parking lot

Our room had no air conditioning so we were melting.

I had a long stay. It was lovely! It’s a beautiful hotel and the staff was able to rise to any challenge. It’s in the perfect location across from the castle and abundant shopping, dining, drinking, museum, church, tower and canal tours and amazing chocolate. The breakfast was excellent and had many options.

I chose one of the cheaper rooms - facilities may be better in other categories. Lovely buiding, fab location and friendly staff.
No air-con and it was warm. Very noisy outside with window open. Aircon was being installed when I was there and windows were measured for new sound proof fittings. So things may improve.
I did have to make a complaint about something and staff dealt with it very well.
Despite tram works, relatively easy to get to hotel from train station. Do check status but as of July 2024 it was T1 to Zuid, then change platform for T2 to Gravesteen

The perfect hotel for a stay in Gent. Mid in the old city!

Right next to the castle and old town. Clean and nice hotel

Location was amazing. Perfect for what we needed. Was a bit farther from the train but the trasport is super close. Staff was super helpful.

At first we were put in a cupboard labelled room 11 which I didn't realise was above the smoking area until we went to bed. It stank. I am asthmatic and could not breathe. Above us were the party 'couple' who were literally up all night banging. I begged to be moved and was told no rooms left. I checked with a booking website and could book a room - a clean room, not smelly and no banging couple. After I begged and cried the member of staff finally relented and gave us a suite (room 44). It was stunning. Book that if you want a treat. It rescued our weekend away. The hotel is lovely as long as you get a good room. Breakfast was fabulous and the position is perfect - right in front of the castle. You need to book high up if you want to be away from the street noise and have a view.

The location is excellent, only issues is the Linen’s & Towel’s are really old and housekeeper leaves the dirty used towels & sheets & other things in the hallway almost all day long.

Nice view from our room but lack of air conditioning was painful.

Old hotel with steps in hallways. So not good for people with disabilities. Room was very warm and airco was making strange noises. Luckily we were able to open the windows to lower temperature. Staff was really nice. Arriving by car was a nightmare with the current Ghent traffic mess.

We have a very pleasant staying. Thank you.

The hotel is beautiful and in a wonderful location. I had hoped to get a parking spot at the hotel. I wasn't aware that the spots are limited and you have to reserve a spot. With all of the one way streets, it is very frustrating to get to the parking garages. But the young lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Ghent is an amazing place!

My husband and I absolutely loved hotel gravensteen. It had a perfect location, and a stunning view of the castle of the counts. Very clean and modern. Beautiful lobby decor.

The location was excellent!

Overall a nice hotel with a great location except do to construction it took us 40 minutes using Google maps to get to the hotel area and nearby parking garage which was frustrating. It would have been nice to be aware of this and we would have chosen a different hotel.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was very nice and fresh with many choices. The establishment was located in the center and very well maintained.

Nice Hotel very central but they had work being done that was a bit disruptive and builders not very tidy.

Excellent location, very clean, modern bathroom, great service from the female receptionist. Very noisy street outside room 55 but we are not light sleepers so that didn’t bother us but worth asking if you are not able to sleep with noise.

My husband and I stayed 2 nighths at the hotel, our room was clean, spacious, little view to channel, we will stay again. We will recommend this hotel.

Exceeded our expectation. Didn’t regret choosing to live in the old town at Ghent. (Not very touristy. More authentic and chill experience in a Game of Throne like medieval town.) Night walk in the old town is a must. So the location is superb.
The room is very beautiful.
Staff is very warm and helpful. We had great chat with the young lad David. We can feel his enthusiasm and love to his home town. They also recommended great restaurants. We had one of the best meal in my ten years living in Europe.
Will definitely visit and stay here again.

This hotel is right across the street from Gravensteen Castle (we looked right out at the castle from our window!) and very conveniently located on a tram stop right in the center of town.
The rooms were very clean and well-organized with extensive storage space, very comfortable beds,
and rain showers in the updated bathrooms.
Common areas were clean and pretty, and the bar was open 24 hours (most of the pubs in the area closed at 11, so this was a nice feature if you're looking for a nightcap.)
The desk staff was efficient and polite.

Excellent location across the street from the castle. Room was nice but with a disappointing view of an interior parking area
