We were staying at the Hampton Inn Uptown because it was close to a meeting I had at Sixty Vines. We had two issues with the room. There was a strong smell that was either paint or glue. When we called the front desk she said there was some renovations two days ago. We asked for a fan but she said there wasn’t one. Also, we were beside the clean up room and there was a scrubbing and knocking noise all night that kept us awake.

Great hotel! Good breakfast, kind staff. The button to control the blinds were not intuitive, so we figured out the blackout curtains on check out day. Convenient walking distance to most of uptown (spectrum center, convention center, Bank of America stadium).

Overall great experience. The only complaint ia thebhotel shares parking with an adjorning hotel via parking garage which is super tight for larger, bulkier vehicles. They ran out of parking after we returned from a football game however the front desk and security officer got us parked wuickly after being alerted. The room and bathroom were both clean. The bed and pillows were also comfy. Front desk staff were polite, attentive and engaging. We will definitely come back!

The room was very clean when we arrived. The front desk agent, Latoya, checked in on us just a few minutes after arrived to our room to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything. Excellent customer service!

My daughter, two granddaughters and myself drove 3 hours to Charlotte to attend the Southern Christmas Show. We were going to arrive late, so I called to let someone know that we would be be late. Adrian answered and assured me that there was no problem! He said that he would be there until 11 and was looking forward to our visit. When we arrived he greeted us with a smile and efficiently gave us our room assignment! He explained about the parking, breakfast etc. I laughingly told him that I was in a brain fog for being on the road for so long, and repeated his directions about the parking back to him to be sure that I understood. He said " I'll tell you what-- I will meet you on the 5th floor of the parking deck and show exactly where the park". He did just that! He actually beat us up to the parking area and guided us into our parking space like someone at the airport. He was fantastic and did everything with a smile! I can't say enough good things about him. Thank you Adrian for making our stay special!

The only thing that was bad was being charged 25 for parking. The only olace to park is the attached parking deck, and they charge an additional 25to park in it. Should be free for paying guests.

It was the worst checkin ever. They said we checked in late so we weren't able to get a key. We had to wait til 8a to get a key from the manager. Otherwise we had to ask to be let in our room by staff. The first room we were sent to was actually dirty from someone else's stay (unmade beds, trash on table, towels all over bathroom), 2nd room we were sent to was a single bed ( booked 2 queen beds (staying with my dad)), finally got it right on the 3rd try. Staff was nice though. Wont be staying here again, ever!

Our room was clean, breakfast was very good. I think the price was a bit steep for a basic room with 2 queen beds. The indoor pool was closed which was disappointing, that was one of the reasons we booked this hotel. I did not like that I had to pay an additional $25. to park after paying $175. for the night. There were many restaurants within walking distance but I found it to be a bit sketchy a few blocks down. I probably would not book this hotel again.

Had to change rooms because window did not have nightshade front desk personnel was offputting when I ask why parking was so high. Then she didn’t explain I was to use my room card to open the parking gate. Not the best experience.

We have visited many hotels for business trips. I would say by far this is the worst Hampton Inn. First, we had to plead several times for a fridge to store medicine. A basic amentity that should be in every room. The room also lacked a microwave. Second, the room was not cleaned and felt old. I was told that since it was a 3rd party booking they cannot do anything. Third, the breakfast lacked options and some items were overcooked. Lastly, the staff was not as friendly as one would expect.

The overall hotel was EXTREMELY old and NO upgrades were done. The beds were so uncomfortable, it felt like I was sleeping on a fold out couch. The drains did not drain and it took 1/2 of the day to fully empty. The bathtub was vial around the drain. We did not shower for 2 days because we did not want to catch something from the shower. The gap under the door had so much light coming in we thought a light was left on in the room. It took 2 towels to block the gap. There were so many people just hanging out around the front desk, they were so loud and it made you uncomfortable to walk thru the area. And I can go on and on……..

Room spotless, beds comfy, bathroom spacious. Pool closed. Easy path to/from Bank of America stadium. Access from rooms to parking deck is a bit wacky, especially for those with mobility issues. But, overall lovely stay.

Was a good stay. Checking in was great, the front desk person was very friendly and knows customer service. O like my beds firm and this hotel had them, was happy. Only minus I had was asking for late check out because my flight was until 5:55pm and they said they could only do an hour. An extra two or three hours would have been great. I would have paid a little extra for late checkout.

Parking alone might drive you crazy. This is two hotels that share a Parking deck. The problem is that the signage should be better as to which door leads where. This made checking in stressful and exhausting!
