The room smelled musty & like weed. There were blunt wrappers in the dresser drawer and crumbs/ room surfaces did not look clean. We arrived late and didn’t have time to find another option so stayed the night, but kids were coughing/ sick the next day from breathing the air all night. We were supposed to stay a 2nd night, but requested to cancel and the front desk staff wasn’t very customer service friendly but agreed. It is super close to the LU football stadium so may be a good option if looking to party, but not for a family that wants clean air & a sanitary space.

Front desk agent was professional and informative.

Very basic hotel. Limited amenities with small rooms. Service wasn't great.

There was no hot water in the bathroom sink, and the outlet in the bathroom did not work.

Key making machine was down when I arrived so front desk person had to escort me to my room every time I wanted access.

I’m not sure where to begin. Hotel is very dated. The room smelled of stale weed and cigarettes. The kitchenette looked like it was from the 80’s. Never ever will I stay again. Check-in was also like something from the 80’s. There was a huge monitor flashing recording! It was just a mess overall.

Nice room and facility, staff was not the most friendly, almost rude

Room door didn’t lock. They sent maintenance and tried to keep me in that room that couldn’t safely secure the door. Finally after he tried they gave me another room

Being next to a university campus and close to Lynchburg I expected some information, a map of the campus and a map of Lynchburg. What I got was "you can look it up online". The desk clerk on duty when we arrived was unaware of a restaurant down University Blvd. Are there any tourist/visitor type magazines advertising local shops I find everywhere I stay? perhaps you should find one.

Shelly is awesome! Property is clean Great location!

Carpets in the hallway were dirty. The sheets had stains and long hairs in them, showing they were clearly never washed. The room was smelly and extremely hot when we arrived. The staff was friendly and helpful. Note that breakfast included means prepackaged muffins or Nutrigrain bars and coffee and nothing else. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The lady working the front desk during the second shift on 4/26/24 when I checked in was wonderful. Very helpful and concerned about our wellbeing.

I’ve stayed here almost four or five nights in a row. They normally placed me on the bottom floor. They placed me on the third floor. In a room in between a barking dog. And crying babies. I asked for another room and I was told that there were no other rooms available. I’ve been working extremely hard and this is horrible. But I have no other recourse but to stay. “Shelly “is the supervisor and she is extremely insensitive and rude.

I was not happy with the check in process and the rudeness of the front desk clerk at this time (Shelly I believe is her name). Her tone was super demanding and rude. I was traveling with my 19 year old niece who was out getting our luggage and stuff because i am disabled. She required her id as well as mine and as many hotels in the Lynchburg area that I have stayed this was never a requirement. When she finally started the check in process she handed me a clipboard with a list of "rules and regulations or policies" and while I was concentrating on reading it before I signed it she started rattling off more requirements which I did not hear because I read what I sign. There needs to be a sign affixed to the building on each side entrance stating no admittance emergency exit only. Upon check out she approached me about the poor review on the check in process and she became very defensive when I told her the above and was argumentative. I was not going to argue with her and left by stating it was her tone of voice. As we were loading the car she found it necessary to come outside where we were as if listening to conversation about her. I stay overnight in Lynchburg frequently and I will never stay at this hotel again. She needs to wait until the guest reads the long list of those rules and signs it before rattling off the other important information. She has had reviews similar to mine with the same complaints about rudeness and clipboard of regulations.

I love that it is so easy to walk to the University or drive anywhere in town with ease. This is a very simple hotel with extremely basic snacks for breakfast. Kitchens, no ice machine. I basically come to sleep and visit my daughters at Liberty Univ.

The beds are hard there’s no boxspring just a mattress key cards kept not working in the door certain areas in the hotel smell like pot construction right across the street for the price not worth it and the breakfast was oatmeal and muffins that is crap and when you go to the front desk, there was nobody there you had to wait and wait for somebody to show up. What kind of hotel is this it’s like a trailer park trash hotel. I will never stay there again ever

The hotel is fine. The on duty staff was excellent and overworked yet exceedingly helpful. The facility should pay more to get help and keep it!

Before I begin, understand that Shana and the other front desk employees were responsive to my concerns, polite and helpful. None of this is their fault, and I am posting this review to encourage their company to fix problems here.
Problems with the room: the room front door has an odd smell. The bathroom sink has a chunk out of it (front desk said corporate knows but hasn't fixed it). There's a dark spot in the shower that makes the shower look unclean. There's no stopper in the sink. There's a line in the bathroom tile where I'm guessing a previous toilet was sealed to the floor. The refrigerator had a sickly smell inside (front desk had it cleaned). Both the office chairs had dirty cushions (front desk replaced them and said corporate was upgrading them to leather ones). The state of the room when I got here was more like a Motel 6, but front desk fixed stuff.
The lights are odd: fluorescent ring type. When I got into the room, one of the lamps had the fluorescent bulb just hanging down, which could be a safety concern due to not wanting to break a fluorescent bulb. The hotel staff fixed the problem, but said the bulbs are hard to replace or something to that effect. I wonder if corporate made a bad investment and/or got scammed by a fluorescent bulb company.
The hotel claimed to have breakfast, but it's just oatmeal and granola bars, so I don't think that's quite "breakfast." But then Tuesday and Wednesday they didn't even put the oatmeal out, either. I feel like the comp

Great Customer Service from the front desk staff to housekeeping.

Worst bed I've slept on in years, and it got worse from there. Not a single thing was in the kitchenette to cook with, eat with, clean with. The pictures show utensils, but there weren't any. Not a pot or pan, no dishes, nothing. Apparently, you have to bring your kitchen with you when you stay here.
Loud building (creaks and thin walls), thin blankets, borderline rude check-in staff at night, dark room (so dark!), filthy carpet.
We will never stay there again.

I loved the friendliness of the front desk as I’m 72 and my apt was 43 degrees inside and my water froze up. The women at the front desk were so kind and understanding as I live on $980.00 a mo disability and social security and I dread going back to my unfinished barn apt that has electrical and cement floors with half the heat and electric is not working. I really am scared to stay there but I have no choice. So enjoyed my 2 nights and it was so warm!
Thank you and may God bless!

Management was very rude and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend staying at the place in Lynchburg. The manager seemed to be inexperienced in customer service

Room was stinky. Pots and pans were not available. Explicit language, insults, and talk of threats/ police being called made it difficult to fall asleep. Recommend choosing a different place if you’re visiting LU or Lynchburg

It wasn’t bad but it did smell a bit like smoke and there was a stain in the mattress under the sheets. I would stay there again because it’s cheap but definitely not a suuuuuper nice hotel.

There was nice dog walk area, the bed was very comfortable and the hotel was very quiet. The morning front desk attendant for the coffee and grab and go "breakfast" disappeared - coffee was empty.

Room was not clean and smelled horrible. Comforter was stained in several areas & there was hair all over the sheets. Complained & was moved to a different room which was just as bad. Ended up leaving & getting a room at the Courtyard nearby.

The hotel is nice, however the staff will harass you pertaining to having everyone that is staying in the room show their ID. I have stayed in many hotels, but I NEVER experience staff members knocking on your door asking for your guest ID. That’s the hotel way of getting more money out of you. The manager must have been checking the video camera to see if my man ID was in their system. When she realized he didn’t present his ID, there is the knock on the door from staff. Mind you, my man didn’t stay the whole duration of the night 😒
